    To save some hassle when scoring card for folding, use a knitting needle or awl instead of a blade. It doesn't break the paper layers, giving a more durable crease, and you don't have to worry about maintaining a constant pressure. If you can find a watchmaker's link pusher, they're great for it. It gives the thin lines of a small gauge knitting needle, and comes with a easily gripped wooden handle.

    This is actually one DIY project that I could and probably would try to make 😂 One question though... what’s stopping the bellows from collapsing under the weight of the phone?

    • @That_YO_guy_1200
      @That_YO_guy_1200 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The sticks are glued to the part where the phone is at so that it holds up

    • @Irshan96
      @Irshan96 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@That_YO_guy_1200 At the begining of the video it was shows as glued, but at the end you could see to focus you adjust it up or down. One end is moveable through the staws so i have the same doubt. 🙂

    Wouldnt it be possible to use 4 collapsible metal antennae from old radios instead of dowels? That way when you lower he bellows, there arent sticks poking out of the bottom, and the whole thing could be collapsed down to just the size of the box, making it much more portable.

      I tried it and I do not think you are supposed to use it as far as a regular projector. I found that placing it within 3~4 meters from a wall provides really good quality, almost as good as a cheap projector. Still quite good considering this is just a DIY project. The one I made stands on a table instead of a wall. I connected it with some bluetooth speaker and watching movies in my room has never been better.

    now, what if you were to make this out of wood or metal, and attach a super bright display on the top, then plug in a chrome cast to it? Maybe take apart a screen to have just the LCD by it self with no backlight, then put one of those super bright LED's that you featured on your channel to serve as the backlight. That would be cool.

    When I built mine, I used a fresnel full-page magnifier as my lens. It was brighter, but the image quality suffered. Trade-offs though.
    I must tell you, I immensely enjoy the pace and depth you make your videos with. It's not sped-up with shrill techno music, and you explain and show things concisely and to the point. Quality presentation 👌. Keep making your videos like this.

    • @seligjuggalo9378

      Try moving the phone/tablet closer to the magnifying glass or farther from the magnifying glass. It acts as a focus. You will quickly learn there’s a very small SPECIFIC location ur phone needs to sit for clear images. The distance from phone to magnifying glass plays a huge key roll on how clear your image will be. Same goes for the projector to the wall. Distance for both projector to wall and phone to magnifying glass are key for clear image.. play around with distance for both and you WILL find the perfect spot
