The 117th class has fought through this terrible year to train and lead the band to achieve wonderful year-end performances such as this. Thanks to their hard work and perseverance, their juniors are well set to carry on the band's great tradition. And thank you, Keijiro Maeda, for offering us the high-quality video they deserve.
Since their participation in the 2018 Rose Parade, I started following them and almost watched every video available. I can say that I mostly recognized the faces of the previous years' band members. This group is composed of mostly unrecognizable faces for me due to their very limited exposure because of the pandemic. They are so talented and my congratulations to them for winning this year's online band contest. Wishing all of them well in their future endeavors.
I fall in love again & again every time I watch Tachibana!!! They give me hope that we "adults" haven't screwed up the world too much for them to fix!!!!

Another Tachibana masterpiece. Their range of motion in their choreography, to me, seems to be greater than anyone else I have seen. They just go farther and do more than most. I love Tachibana, they are always worth viewing. USA fan.
For me, the parade at the Meridian Marching Festa in October 2020 was outstanding. The video of that event was great because the viewers could see the whole picture and the movement of the steps because of the distant view and the lack of surrounding audience. Again, this is great to see their faces in the sun. Trombone player "Mr. Mush" stood out. He and the other first-year students have reached such a high level in such a short period of time, which is the power of the Tachibana tradition.
And I'm still Buzzing after their Christmas Eve Online Concert ! I missed half of "I.S.S." when I lost the stream for a few minutes so great to hear and see it in it's entirety.A future Tachibana Classic without a doubt and the perfect message to send to the World right now! Notice that each class has its flair just for that class. Like Still Standing and even listening to the Sing x3 this class has it own flair in the song. It makes each class stand out and is memorable to the students as musicians. Great job on those subtle flairs. Love listening to the great ways you all play. Great job in capturing the band and it's flairs. Even in the dancing also.
Nothing compares to these band, they are really the best in the world and I am very happy to hear them in these troubled times, long live to them and keep the spirit

Nice to see Tachibana again and yes...they are the best band in the world . Of course they could not practise as much due to the pandamic , but after hearing these 2 songs they have the same high level that we are used to . Hopefully we will see more in the next year . The Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School Band always leaves me in awe of their hard work. Even the flag girls should be watched closely. Have you noticed that despite often letting go of the staff to throw it skyward they NEVER drop it or fail to catch it. Not EVER! Wow.
@ageingdrummerboy yes on rare occasions it does happen .one i can recall is one going off stage, well they was very near the edge and the flag waver jumping down to retrieve it ,even the odd tumble of a musician falling over ,one i can recall is in one performance running backwards ,and turning left, and whoops one sore bum

Agree. The Shimane Prefectural Izumo Business High School kids are also very good but lack the banner and colour guard girls so are at a disadvantage when compared to Tachibana.

先日は定演が無事に開催されて良かったです。この状況下で直接観覧が叶わないファンに配慮してライブストリーミング配信して下さった先生方、関係者の方々、部員のみなさんの温かさに感謝です。有り難うございました。
定演はとても心に沁みましたよ。座奏では演奏力と多彩な表現力に驚きました。みなさんの気持ちが重なった豊かな音の美しさがいつまでも心に残ってます。希望を失わずにみなさんが頑張ってきたことが間違ってなかったと証明するような本当に素晴らしい演奏会でした。新ユニフォームは上品で格好良かったです。いつかローズパレードに参加したり、何かでメンバーが集まることがあったら、今度は楽しい状況で部長さんが久しぶりにみんなのお顔を見れたらいいなと思います。今回こんな大きなスタジアムで演奏できてまた一つ思い出ができて良かったですね。
117期のみなさん、たくさんの感動を有り難うございました。お疲れさまでした。みなさんのこれからの人生も笑顔いっぱい幸せでありますように祈ってます♪
