音楽ってこういう事なんでしょうね。
奏でて楽しむ、踊って楽しむ、聞いて楽しむ。見て楽しむ。
専門家達は色んな批判もする人もいる事でしょうけど、音楽素人にはただただ楽しいひと時でした。
こんな画面で得た感動から実際に観に行って更に感動を得たいと思わせるあたり、音楽という文化に貢献しているのは彼女、彼達に違いないと思います。
本当に素晴らしい！
今見ると、2018年のこの公演、この目で見たかったとつくづく思う。このパフォーマンス、演奏のその後にはない素晴らしさ。ビデオで見られるだけでも幸いと思う。
21:15の帽子を被せる演出が可愛かった。（笑）
橘は小道具や着ぐるみにしてもそうだけど、こういった細かい演出まで完璧なんだよな～。
見ている側は呑気ですが、実際にこれだけの演奏をしながら踊り続けるって相当大変でしょうね。
本来なら苦しい表情をしてもおかしくないのに、笑顔を絶やさず観客を楽しませる姿勢に感動します！
演奏技術やダンスも一級品ですが、その垣間見える努力に心をうたれるんだなと思います。
色々見てきたけど2018年はレベルと言うか完成度がすごい。

I love this band. I'm hooked on watching this group almost every day. I can't help but smile when I watch them. They are a total mood elevator for me. And they are amazing dancers and musicians. I can't say enough about them. I was in the drum and bugle corp when I was in the Boy Scouts living in Japan in the 60's.(my 'father was in the Air Force.) I know what it takes to do a simple coordinated drill routine. These kids have practiced for many many hours to get their parts down...never one person is out of place. I think I've seen every one of their videos. I hope they continue to do their thing for the sake of the rest of us. Their leader is a genius! Thank you so much for giving me the fun of watching them for hours.
The Orange Devils strike again. And don't you just love it when they do.. I'm addicted to this band.

17:27恐竜の空気が抜けちゃってるみたいで、中に入ってる子（カラーガードの子？）が、恐竜の首を支えながらも懸命に踊っている様子がとても健気で愛くるしいですね（^^）

These kids are so good, it's hard to believe they're only High School students. It's almost scary how professional they are! And No Music in front of them, it's all memorized! Such a well balanced sound every time from KH....It's wonderful! Their Drum Major is in complete control! Love their shows...they are the best of the best! They are the Jewel of Japan's High School Bands' and Music!

I’m so impressed with the dedication of these kids. They must have been practicing a lot of hard work. Best performance ever by a high school team.
What I don't think a lot of people understand is how incredibly hard it is to move and play with out getting a waver or cracking/squeaking sound much less be freaking jumping around and sound like they are standing still. I honestly didn't know this was possible on this scale

The World Famous Kyoto Tachibana High School "Orange Devils", it doesn't get any better than this!!!!!!! The close up views of the students is great, we can see those beautiful smiles. They really love what they're doing, and it shows!
橘の魅力を語り始めたら尽きないですが、橘の大きな魅力の一つに一瞬一瞬をすべて楽しませてくれるステップと演奏、そして同じ曲であっても毎年必ずアレンジが変わってきているという事、さらに演奏する場所に合わせてその度毎の構成である事。そして何よりそれらを全て全部員が笑顔でシンクロさせてしまう事だと思います。
そして何よりこれが単なる部活動の一環という事を忘れさせてくれる事が最大の感動と感謝で一杯です。
本当に、その笑顔が自然でとても輝いています。

The best brass band in the world is performing on stage. The audience was the reaction of an old man who came to see a school event. I like this temperature difference!

I was never especially interested in marching band performances, watched such things only accidentally. But few weeks ago I have discovered my first video of Tachibana and I am now not only a fan of this group, but simply forced to make the following comment: Practically each video, showing the performance of Kyoto Tachibana SHS band should contain at the beginning the following warning:
"Be careful. Watching this performance can change your life!! It can happen, that you will be not more able to spend longer time without watching and hearing the performances of this band."
And exactly this happened to me and - as I was able to recognize from many other comments - also to many other people. I must watch and hear Tachibana performances from time to time (in reality: quite often). After this happened I was interested to check, if there are other bands offering something comparable. I have watched many performances of other marching bands, that was named as good or even outstanding. My opinion is quite simple: There is nothing comparable in the whole world. Most marching bands are offering nothing special, many can be seen as a joke in comparison with Tachibana. Only some Japanese bands can be treated as slightly comparable. It may be so, that some people like large, precisely marching bands of military style, but their performances are nowhere close to the perfection, music quality, enthusiasm and style of Tachibana kids. I am not a musician, but I like to hear good music since quite a long time and have surely got some feeling for the quality of musical performance. And it was for me a discovery to hear, that Tachibana plays much better, very clean music than any other similar band I was able to find. And this kids are doing this while there are dancing and jumping!! Adding the perfection in movement, beautiful choreography and synchronization, the appearance of young girls and boys, that are apparently doing, what they like to do, is a combination, that I - and apparently many others - simple cannot miss anymore. Other bands can be nice to watch, sometimes even quite nice to hear, but Tachibana makes me simple happy.
I have also tried to compare the sound of old big bands, playing such titles, as Sing Sing or other and my opinion is: Tachibana kids can be compared with them easily, are often even better.
My deepest respect for Kyoto Tachibana SHS band members and their teachers and leaders. I hope, you will stay so good for ever and be always so enthusiastic doing your hard work.
I am a Japanese living in Tokyo.
From the 1970s to the 1980s, I have listened to music a lot.
However, for a long time I forgot about enjoyment of music.
By chance, I learned the brass band of Kyoto Tachibana High School by playing at the American Rose Parade in 2018.
While I was in Japan, what I had not known was very disappointing.
However, now I already know about this marching band and my view on life has changed. I think that there is wonderful music.
This music that you can listen to and enjoy is great.
I learned that people are evaluating beyond the country, and I also knew that music has no borders.
I can not wait until the Rose parade in the next five years.
2020 I would like to expect performance at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

I fully agree, and have been been drawn into a full love and appreciation of this band. I however was in marching bands, and have always loved them. Many of my children have also been in marching bands. I am just totally amazed at how this band is able to dance as they do, with GREAT sound and music NOT being lost.

This band never ceases to amaze. Just when you think you've seen them at the finest, they come up with a superb performance like this one, that simply out performs any I've seen before. Their musicianship, together with their precision dancing to each number is like you've never seen them do before. Then there is the individual solos at Just the right places in the program. It is an honor to witness these fine young people entertain their audiences all over Japan here on TH-cam, because many of their fans are in different parts of the world, such as here in America. Prepare yourself to be entertained and amazed any time your able to see them. Hopefully everyone is safe and secure from the earthquake in Osaka. Please pray for Japan!
They practice 7 days a week! Even though they’re this good they don’t skip practice and they work hard and try their best! THIS IS A GOLDEN BAND RIGHT HERE!

I live in Columbia, Missouri, very far from Japan. I am always entertained by these talented and charming young people. I think they are the best good will ambassadors in Japan. I would love to see them in person. The energy level they have is wonderful, I don't think the Energizer bunny could keep up with them. All I can say is keep up your good work, I look forward to more videos in the future.

一年生を指導しながらの新しい曲と振付け、今年の橘のやる気が伝わってきます。ローズパレードで海外からの注目も凄いみたいで、日本の橘でなくて世界の橘ですね。
It’s just amazing how well coordinated the band is in every situation, I would love to see the mechanics of how these dance moves are created. I mean, if it’s on the stage , street, field, the band has a unique choreographed dance move for each scenario...and mind you playing different segments of music, without paper notes to look at... are the girls little “AI” creatures in human form? Just mesmerizing and can’t get enough of their videos...

08:42, the drummer is covered by the components and does not see the DM that with the raised arm must give "the ok" to make the battery cut and start "Paradise Has No Border". Don't panic, the trombone in the front row takes care of raising your arm and giving the signal to the drummer. Beautiful understanding.

I love this band. I also played in a band but the preparation, the skill, the perseverance of the tachibana has no equal. Every little detail fascinates me. I would like to see them live .....
The DM was in a low position under the stage, so he signaled the trombone as previously discussed. All have been examined in advance by the members in charge of marching composition appointed by DM. They have a high degree of internal organization and basically solve all problems themselves.

Another incredible display/performance from Tachibana ... the soloists are amazing but so is the band as a whole. So impressive in all their performances.
They all look like they are truly enjoying themselves, which makes them a pleasure to watch. I would love to see what they would do with some Latin Jazz songs like Malaguena or En Fuego

For those of you who don’t know:
They practice 7 days a week! Even though they’re this good they don’t skip practice because they don’t think that they’re very good. (They’re humble) and they work hard and try their best! They smile for every performance, even in rehearsals they give their 100% if not 200%. They cry, laugh, play and enjoy together. Nobody complains or regrets joining this band.
THIS IS A GOLDEN BAND RIGHT HERE!

HKH From PH yeah but they still have their homework and imagine at 7.00pm, going home, (if by train) a crowded station, going home and eating dinner, washing up. Might already be 8+/9+ pm. Even I might get start procrastinating.

新年度の橘SHS Bandの演奏をアップしていただいてありがとうございます。3年生のみなさんが卒業されてゆき、さみしいような気もしますが、新しいメンバーを加えて、そして、先輩から後輩へと伝えられていく、生き生きした楽しい演奏会。とてもいいです。見れば見るほど、聴けば聴くほど、楽しく、好きになります。お芝居ですと、待ってました、橘屋（たちばなや）！と声をかけたくなります。
今橘が世界中で人気が出てきています。それもこの素晴らしい、素敵なパフォーマンスを綺麗な映像と音質で実物を見た事のない私に、また世界中の人々に届けてくださった方々のおかげかと思います。みなさん橘のパレードでパフォーマンスを撮ろうとされていますが、直に見れるのなら私は撮ったりしません。これだけネットで流れるといろんな思惑があるのでしょうか。以前から他校も含め、映像共有していただいて感謝しております。

Thank you for filming and uploading. My heart is very touched. For three weeks, since mid-March 2021, I've been listening to the music from shs Tachibana every day with the headphones and only 1.5 m away from my 55 inch smart TV. And so i always think I'm in the middle of the events, and there are so many videos on youtube, it's wonderful. Thanks again. Greetings from Bavaria in Germany.
