TNA started with great potential. I understand Jerry wanting out, due to his stress. At first, Panda Energies' funding looked to help TNA grow. They just needed to let Jeff Jarrett and his team handle the wrestling side. Bringing in Christian Cage and Sting, were major steps of growth. Somoa Joe and Abyss were homegrown stars, that completed the puzzle. But, bringing in Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff killed TNA's growth. They tried becoming WCW/NWO Part 2. By that time, it was to late to fix it.
Growing up in Nashville, and having gone to school with Jeff and his older brother, Jerry Jr., I would have thought Jeff would have pursued the other sports he Excelled at. Jr. was a photographer for some years. Not sure where he went with things after that. Jeff pursued his fathers legacy, good or bad. Memphis Wrestling created almost EVERY NAME known in the business from 1979 to 1993. True, some wrestlers ended in Memphis, but MOST made a name there and moved to bigger things. Vince could not shut down Memphis, THE LAST TRUE TERRITORY, it was his proving ground. If anyone has a question, I will give over 50 wrestlers that went through Memphis that became millionaires because of Jarrett and Lawler. Grew up with it and knew the family. Miss Lance Russell, especially!!!!

I'd go over to her house watch the wrestler go into the building then watch the matches on TV then run back outside to watch them leave. Never met any of them, but loved it all the same.
It's sad that business came between them but I'm glad they found a way to reconcile. TNA should've never broke away from NWA. That separation started they downfall of TNA .

Jeff Jarrett's physique changed over the years as well, take a look online, he's a lot thicker than people make like. His arms were huge, I don't think he was natural. He probably felt he needed to be bigger to make it in the big promotions. I heard Bruce say Jarrett was smaller than he expected, and I think it had to do more with height than anything, and this is a pretty thick Jarrett, like I said.

Vince Russo is 100% WWWF/WWF Sports Entertainment. For that product he is one of the greatest writers/bookers ever. His ideas do not work well in places that have traditional "rasslin'" as their product. Fans don't want it and most of the wrestlers don't want it in those companies. He's great at what he does in it's proper setting, but not good at all in the wrong setting.
