One thing that I like that wasn't mentioned Is all the interior lighting around the doors and under the seats and the dash. I love it in mine. It's just a comfortable and fun car to drive in or ride in
Hi I wanna know how many miles is your Cadillac, I’m planning to buy exact car but has 118k miles. Do you think it’s okay to buy high mileage? Thank you so much
The weight and stability is a sure sign of a well built car, whether you want to credit that or not. If I was worried about 0-60 times I would have bought a sports car.
As far as the high revs you have to watch the revs AND the MPH at the same time. It may sound like its working hard, but it IS moving the car. You have a lead foot, as you said and that is not necessary. I found that this vehicle went plenty fast and it felt like it wasn't moving, yet when I glanced at the speedometer I was doing 50 in a 30 MPH Zone. So much for not moving fast enough. I suppose if you want to do 0 to 70 every time you step on the gas pedal this car isn't for you. Then again, I am glad you are not driving the roads around where I live. LOL Otherwise a good review.
+Jeff Stone He is right though, 9 seconds 0-60 for a luxury crossover is pathetic. There are 1.8 l. 4 cylinder economy cars that can do better than that. And on the video it DID look like the car moved pretty damn slow. Maybe you just have a flawed perception on what "fast" really is...
We bought this exact 2011 SRX new with exception of a tan leather interior which gives appearance of a larger interior. He didn't mention the diwnlights throughout the interior that cast an ambient glow at night I really like. The only problems I've had with it so far is the front rotors needed replacing, the windshield wipers motor went out recently and the fog lamps lenses crack for some reason I can't figure out and needed replacing. At 86,000 miles, not bad though in repair stuff. Make sure you get some coverage or ask the dealership manager about these type items within your certified preowned agreement, because that's costly if it's coming out of pocket. In all, my experience with this car has met my expectations of a purchase that can last me a decade, because I tend to drive the same one at least that long and expect it to be dependable, which it is.
I LOVE the fact that you're able to upload a new video everyday. Even better is the fact that it's not impromptu or unprofessional/ not worth watching. I've told all my car enthusiast friends about your channel and I made them subscribe! You and Christian should keep the momentum going. I see great things in store! I dig the website to where you guys personally answer questions about your thoughts on a particular car.
Keep in mind, the 2004 was, well, a station wagon. This second attempt wasn't a bad effort, as evidenced by the number they sold over the years. Power was on par given the demographic GM was targeting. It would have taken little to add a supercharger on the SRX and made a screamer. But why? Who would buy it. I think GM has had a consistently good lineup over they years up until their recent announcement axing their most attractive cars, Ford lost me as a potential customer when they did away with cars... now GM has followed suit. Paint me in a Avalon or ES350 or 300c (until FCA chokes up and follow suit)... and once all new sedans have been ceased, I am a pre-owned buyer for LIFE! Thanks for posting.
Yeah it definitely is hard to find one of these with the 2.8T V6. Definitely my favorite motor from this generation SRX, I’d still take the Saab 9-4X because of its design.
The Cadillac SRX is a great car. It is not a race car. It is an SUV/ crossover. It's got plenty of power and pulling capacity is decent. I have been in many crossovers and the Cadillac SRX beats them all, especially a Honda SRV or the Hyundai Tucson or any BMW or Audi heavier, SUVs and crossovers are the way to go, especially if you live in a state that gets snow
I now have 120K miles on my 2011, and so far so good! Question: Is it advisable to use premium grade level gasoline as opposed to mid grade fuel in the SRX, or does it make any difference? I'm inclined to use the premium grade, but someone told me I was wastng my money...any comments? n-
The engines on the 2015 or newer model SRXs should be: 2.0L turbo Ecotec I4 with 270 HP and 295 lbs-ft of torque 3.6L TT V6 with 410 HP and 400 lbs-ft of torque. The SRX should also shed 300 lbs
Ive drove one of these a decent amount and it does feel heavy but thats good in this segment it feels solid and comfortable. The power is also great and the engine sounds great but the transmission is so unpleasantly slow to downshift and when it does it feels almost like an old rubber bandy CVT
I never actually used manual mode but next time I drive one I will test it out! I can say though that non eco mode holds gears to long and eco mode gives sloppy downshifts
I sat in the 2013 the other day while i was driving the ATS and they actually updated the interior pretty significantly for 2013. I didnt know they did either.
@Dukens Saint Vil false my dad has one with 150k outlasted my moms 5 series bmw with only 70k miles that beamer has been to the shop more times than our cadillac
Does anyone else have an issue with your Cadillac SRX making a clunking noise? I think it's in the front end, but you know how that goes. I have replaced the rack and pinion, the LR control arm, and new struts. It only has appx. 125000 miles on it. I have taken it to a reputable dealer on 2 different occasions and they can't find anything wrong???? It's very frustrating to say the least. They gave us a loaner car to drive while they were working on mine and it just so happened to be a Cadillac Car and it made the very same noise, the dealer said they found nothing wrong with the loaner car either?? Any suggestions???
Mid-sized luxury SUV segment is a pretty hard market to get into. You have the very good selling RX350, then the ML350, X5, Jeep GC and...the Infiniti FX. There's already enough types of luxury SUVs that fit basically everybody looking for a SUV. Btw do you have a video on a 2012+ jeep grand Cherokee?
Since I do not follow Cadillac that closely, I'm curious now how they have updated the interior for 2013 lol. I really want to drive the new ATS now hehe
@Jakeman21642 Me too! Lol my reason is there low quality interiors, and most of their vehicles all look the same! The only vehicles I'd by from GM would be their silverado,Yukon xl, suburban, sierra, and escalade.
If possible, can you guys do a video of either a Lexus LX/Toyota Land cruiser(any generation) or a Toyota Sequoia. ( I know you don't like the interiors of Toyota,{only if it is possible})
The interior looks like something from transformers. It's a nice SUV but for the most part the styling doesnt get me. I only like the performance collection of the SRX.
What I don't get, is why GM is making the interiors of the new Caddies so nice and upscale looking, but stick to gaudy amounts of chrome in their Chevy vehicles? They need to stop trying to be 'fancy' lol Chrome looks like ass.
If someone ever see this comment please HELP ... I’m woman 20 i want to buy my first car, will this Cadillac be good? If not please tell me a good SUV for starters.
Anyely N. the cadillac SRX is an amazing first car! i currently have a 2013 model with the upgraded interior and engine. if you do decide to go for the SRX i would HIGHLY suggest you purchase the 2013 or newer models because of the upgraded technology you get from the car!
I have a 2011 srx and come to completely dislike this vehicle the sun roof leaks I thought it was. really the firewall where the heater box bolt to it, all the shops around me would not even think about fixing it. Note I took it to the dealer and was told no problem found and they charged $200. I said this was under warranty and they tried to shame me in to paying the $200 saying that I was not willing to pay the mechanic. The power tail gate failed to the tune of $1800, all 4 corner wheel bearings needed to be replace due to abs tuner ring falling off the bearing surface by 50000 miles, many check engine lights for multiple problems to many to list. what i can tell you is this don't buy this piece of GM shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WaVe X Gold ...120K-155K they are not remotely as good as this review claims....as the new ones have come out over the years they have become a "lease only" vehicle due to so much trouble and engineering issues in the first couple years of ownership.... nightmare...
@@ronaldhickman9953 you are crazy dude i have one and the motor runs very smooth depends how you treat your car and maintenance people these days think just turn your car on and run but they never do maintenance that why the car fucks up

Exactly. I love mine. I had a 2 door sports car if I want to go fast and play. In my family suv I want control, AWD and stability. Just saying

SRX was my first car ever!!
After 9 years of usage, it still a very competitive car in technology until nowadays
U bought a lexus?
This guy gives the most accurate overview information; with detail, right down to the heaviness and speed. I love my SRX!
Why do reviewers go on about soft touch dash ,I only touch the dash when I'm cleaning the car I sure do not drive with my hands on the dash.
mark williams It's a quality aspect.
Hard touch plastics scratch much more easily than soft touch
Not only that GM luxury was known to just have hard junk plastic, DTS, CTS, STS from the 2003-2008 era

That oversized first one was insanely junk
Oh yeah the 2013 Cadillac SRX got the new 3.6 V6 engine. So i think that engine is better now.
As a person who has driven that exact car it is scary to drive
As soon as a 2013 Super Duty comes in :)
Yeah it definitely is hard to find one of these with the 2.8T V6. Definitely my favorite motor from this generation SRX, I’d still take the Saab 9-4X because of its design.
Why not 3.0L naturally

I love the SRX, looks great to me although i agree about the 3.0 V6
Are this car relieble after 200k miles?how hood is transmision and engine are bulletprufe?

2.0L turbo Ecotec I4 with 270 HP and 295 lbs-ft of torque
3.6L TT V6 with 410 HP and 400 lbs-ft of torque.

My moms 2012 SRX has 308 hp, so why should the go down?
Na she's at least 600 lbs is so obese and over weighted heavy
Such a coincidence that this was filmed in my hometown
Huge key?...looks slim not everyone wears skinny jeans with small pockets lol
It's funny how you say the steering on this is heavy. My dad's 06 SRX V6's steering is lighter than my RX..
7:54 Whoa....... I used to live on the other side of that road (opposite from what's being filmed) a few years ago!
Ive drove one of these a decent amount and it does feel heavy but thats good in this segment it feels solid and comfortable. The power is also great and the engine sounds great but the transmission is so unpleasantly slow to downshift and when it does it feels almost like an old rubber bandy CVT

The Rusty Scooter you put regular gas in this ?
I wonder if the SRX has a soft leather dash??
Base , Luxury, Performance, Luxury, Premium.
I sat in the 2013 the other day while i was driving the ATS and they actually updated the interior pretty significantly for 2013. I didnt know they did either.
Another unique thing about the 2.8 Turbo is that it used an Aisin 6-speed transmission as opposed to the GM ones in the 3.0 or 3.6
Which kind of gasoline do u use for this car? 87 or 93?
87
You should really do a review of a Cadillac XLR. would love to hear your opinion of it.
Are u reviewing a 2013 super duty soon? I'd appreciate it if u did! :)
How reliable is this suv?
Not reliable
@Dukens Saint Vil false my dad has one with 150k outlasted my moms 5 series bmw with only 70k miles that beamer has been to the shop more times than our cadillac
actually the wheel IS power tilt/telescopic, you can see the little joystick at 4:30, but its on the right side instead of the left for some reason
oh....i guess that's just typical GM weirdness
I just drove one...it does have tilt/telescopic wheel...lever on left

can u review a 2013 ford f150 limited
When can we expect the new Accord to be reviewed? I like the new camera set ups too. :)
I love this cas but why it seams so slow in this video, I thought it could reach 0-100 kmh in 8,5 seconds
This or the new XT6?
Heavy suvs are for men.... 😂😂😂😂this car is too heavy !!!...you are not gonna carry it on your are you??????
Slow asf
I can honestly say Cadillac (or GM really for that matter) has never made a vehicle that would appeal to me. I'd take an MDX or Q5 over this any day!
Can anyone help me buy cheap spare parts for this 2011 Cadillac SRX?
My dad had one a few years ago
Its a nice Caddy, but I still have the CTS Wagon if I were to buy one.
Is 185k miles too much for this car?
It certainly made a decent noise at higher revs
Please do a new Subaru Impreza WRX sedan
0:18 - Did you say debuteted? lol
The word is "debuted", pronounced "day byood", not "daybyooted".
I had all of the cadilacs
good job.
This video... lol
I wasn't sure if it was about the cadillac or losing weight 🤔 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Some Americans cars a built strong to last.
instead of putting all of the chrome in the interior, they put it on the exterior(;
The interior looks like something from transformers. It's a nice SUV but for the most part the styling doesnt get me. I only like the performance collection of the SRX.
If you find a first or second gen. Taurus do it! Please! lol
Why so negative???
SRX WITH TURBO 6 IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO!!1
Why not 3.0L
I don't think there's a spare tire in the Cadillac SRX certainly not inside and I didn't see one outside
John S under the stuff
What I don't get, is why GM is making the interiors of the new Caddies so nice and upscale looking, but stick to gaudy amounts of chrome in their Chevy vehicles? They need to stop trying to be 'fancy' lol Chrome looks like ass.
Better tap that then
