Wonderful indeed. I came to Botswana in 2008 and I stayed in Lethakani. The people there are full of respect. They greet strangers as if they met before. I really liked and enjoyed my stay. Thank you my brother. God bless you.
Batswana are very cultured people. They are my people. I lived in that country for years and I have assimilated. My children are more Batswana than Zimbabwean.
Zimbabweans are just amazing 🤞 speaking from junior school where I was enrolled into the Foreigners class, my! oh! my! Those kids unleashed a beast in me 🤣 I didn't know that I had a competitive edge until then. This was in Makhubu CJSS and I am forever grateful to the MCJss community and stakeholders for an incredible journey that moulded my whole entire life ❤😭🥺
❤my uncle went to Botswana n married a beautiful lady in 1960 way before l was born ,he is in his late 80s now so l hv lots of relatives in Gabs. I love Bottswana.
Yah, Sometimes we meet white people who just say "dumelang" and all people will give him attention. "Dumelang" means hello and "Kea leboga" means thank you

I agree with everything you said. I would like to add, before you arrive in any country, learn something about their culture.
That is true.
I chuckled when I heard mind your manners coz its so true but not obvious. Humilty and respect are key.
That's true.

My brother i am really inspired by the fact that i bumped on your video on youtube, Big Up Sir🥰✌

Thank you so much for this. I can say the same thing about Zimbabweans as well having been there myself.

I lived there for six years found it to be a really beautiful country loved it there . And good manners is always good anywhere 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for the info. I'm visiting Botswana for the first time next month.
I hope you have a wonderful time in Botswana.
Me too ,in December
Your advice clearly and simply captures the essence of Botswana - courtesy! Thankyou!
Thank you.
Wow ,you really nailed it bro ,thanks a lot
Botswana is very peaceful. You rarely see people fighting or yelling at each other❤. Teach us my brother.
Love triangles, are many, and deadly. You forgot that.
I would live to visit Botswana. It's a great country.
Botswana is a great country, a very safe and peaceful nation.

How about a video of the 5 things you SHOULD do in Botswana 😎
Its in the works.
Can I have an affair or I will go to jail 😢😅😅
Respect our culture!
Yes, I suggest that we respect each other's cultures. When will we start?
Thank you so much sir for the advise.
Most important, don't and I mean never be in possession of any size of diamond
And Ivory !!
All what you said I agree if you saying don't bribe police but to drink, even south africa is can't use alcohol like Botswana
True that is why the police have no mercy when it comes to it.
No public drinking.. M a Motswana🇧🇼🇧🇼 we only get free when we are in Namibia and Lesotho.
Oh yeah. That is an important point.
Too much public drinking in Botswana than any country in southern africa
Does the word dumela mean "hello"? Or does it mean "thanks"? Which language is it?
Dumela is to agree dumelang is the greeting
@@ogone1465 Thank you so much. Which language is it? Are there schools where foreigners can learn local languages and cultures of Botswana?
Yes at Baobao school is for foreigners
@@PolenaEsther Thank you so much!
Its Setswana.
Botswana is a very nice place and nice people,Lucas Gungqisa
Sounds scary that it really is. I know we have pick pocketers but I think if you stay close to your standards or territory you should be fine
Also don’t assist anybody by transporting them to the next destination.
That is also a high risk, unless you know them or if they are not going to pay.
fantastic job on this!
Thank you.

Since English is ALSO an OFFICIAL language in Botswana, can you use English and say : Good day, Good evening, Good morning, Please , etc.?
Oh yeah English is okay but in small towns and villages its kinda, you know what I mean!
Dumelang goes a longer way, it captures attention of the one you want to address 😂
Yah, Sometimes we meet white people who just say "dumelang" and all people will give him attention.
"Dumelang" means hello and
"Kea leboga" means thank you
South African people in Botswana the must respect other country like Botswana they must not think the are in seweto.
Botswana people must respect our country too
I think generalizing the whole country is not a fair judgment.

Those are very easy
to remember
I'm glad you find this easy to remember.
Ijoh! Nna ke duetse tjotjo ko traffic police, e bile lepodisi lateng keha le gana diranta a batla dipula
Yah ey you don’t initiate the conversation. 😂😂😂😂😂bad apples everywhere.
But if he is caught a ka se tlhabelwe ke letsatsi mo tirong that's why most of them are afraid of violating their ethics
Eish guys if you dont wanna feel out of place learn tge language 1st especial mingle with the little ones say those of 5/6 years such you learn the language fast n clean if u know u know😅
The biggest thing I know you can be on trouble is to ha a diamond.you can go to jail for the rest of your life .
Don’t talk about diamonds especially in mining towns and villages.
Don't urinite onthe street or else you'll be in for it and no public drinking
Number 6, is a repeat of number 2 - DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT try to bribe the police! Very important!
Dumela means hello ❤
Yes. But it can also mean “agree “ eg. (Dumelang gore le ithuta setswana- agree that you are learning Setswana. ) Context is key🙂
Botswana people must also not drive recklesly in SA.
They do as they please here. But if you go there and do as you please, jail time 4u
I think general people traveling from Botswana to South Africa follow the rules if it were not so we would know through public statistics.
Those are South African Tswanas not Batswana
Hahahahahahahaha

You are drunk 😂😂
Where are you from?
You must be on drugs
