I just watched a BBC video regarding a technology that allowed a person to learn how to hold the bow and play correctly. I was blown away! I missed the very beginning of the segment but after googling around a bit I think it was this university's program. Are there any plans for other instruments? I have been learning to play the pedal harp and my weakest point is my hand position. I started learning as an adult after trying to learn on my own for many years so my teacher is constantly correcting my hand positions. I take a lesson for an hour go home and practice for 2 weeks and come back thinking my hands have been correct but ...over that two weeks they gradually go back to bad behavior (as if they have a mind of their own!). This type of program where one can see instant feedback on things like position, sound, and dynamics would be an amazing addition to learning an instrument. Please let me know if you ever develop something similar for the harp.
