Enjoying your Q&A very much. I can't find mention of Carbonic Maceration in the WSET book (question 38). Am I missing it?
Thank you for great question. This shows that you are reading the book thoroughly. The term Carbonic Maceration is actually not mentioned in the books as a term, but it is mentioned in the Gamay selection that winemaking for Beaujolais is to create deeper color and not to extract to much tannin. You will not be asked Carbonic Maceration on L2, but good to know. On L2 videos, I try to include only what is relevant for L2, but sometimes it is worth mentioning things that are not in the book. Stay Thirsty and Wise
Also just to give you example of question that you can expect on L3. On L3 you would be able to explain the process and result that Carbonic Maceration affects the style of the wine.
Yes good point i'm liking the "bonus" information 😁
Thank you. Stay Thirsty and Wise. Let's change the world of wine.
I got 43 right and I'm Just a beginner
Great score, enjoy to learn.
Hi, for the last question, would the answer be C? I understand Crianza wines are not necessary to age in barrels, it can be aged in bottle or else. Isn't Joven be the correct description for answer B?
Joven wine is unaged. Crienza has the shortest aging in oak and bottle. Longer aged are Riserva and Grand Reserva. I hope this helps
