As a parts person I agree that having a sample and clear pictures, makes the whole process better for both the customer and the parts person. For those of you who say 'they know what I have for equipment', or 'they are all the same', let me tell you that we do not know every piece of equipment that every farmer in the area runs. Make, model and serial number saves a lot of problems, and NO, the parts are not the same of every piece of equipment.
I've hauled hundreds of loads of grain and feed ingredients out of the Midwest back to feed mills in Pennsylvania and my hat is off to the our farmers who keep this country fed. I really enjoy your videos and good luck with this year's harvest season. Give Roscoe some grapes and a belly rub for me because he's how I found your channel.
Clint Eastwood stared & directed a great movie " Bridges of Madison County " I believe it was called. God bless you and your family and Happy Easter. 🗽👍🇺🇲
Hi Erin from Simcoe County Canada. We used to farm in Oro township back in the 70s / 80s . Something I really miss is farming, its a really nice life. You are a really nice young lady.
Ms. Holbert, I'm glad to have found your channel. Outstanding video young lady. Thanks for sharing your life and times with us that watch your electrifying channel.
One of those blessings you received was going to college, and bringing home all that you learned, and so much more. When you look at the big picture, what do you see?
Thanks for posting these farm life videos for us city folks! :) I've seen old school more primitive farming on smaller scale overseas, but never seen US grand scale agriculture process. It's so large scale and mechanized!
Remember Erin you are only as good as the information you are given. You seem to be able to think on your feet and stay calm. You can only deal with what your in charge of and as I have seen your doing great.
I did not know about the bridges of Parke county. As a cyclist in my spare time, I like to find remote dirt roads and covered bridges to ride on and through... I spent a year in college in Terre Haute, but did not know about any covered bridges around the area. In between classes and practice, I'd go fishing up the road at the US41/63 split under the overpass/bridge and it was a nice escape. It was a tough year of living in Indiana, but the Spring season was AMAZING! Thanks, for these videos!
Had to make the drive to Parke county to visit the covered bridges. This was the coolest ride I have ever been on and it is absolutely beautiful up here! I’d like to visit during mid to late summer when the corn is tall and green. Seemed about 70+% of the fields have been harvested. You have a beautiful area and I cant wait to visit again. Thanks for opening my eyes to Parke county and the covered bridges!
Hi Erin great channel so far.I am originally from West Central Indiana.I used to farm in Vermillion County.just north of a small town called Gessie.I don't know exactly where you are but I did here you say Dana.I went to North Vermilion School.way back in 1980. I am looking foward to watching your videos in the future
Holy crap that windshield worth more then my whole combine I have an 860 Massy i picked up for 1500 couple years ago so far never lets me down and since the invention of Irish Spring soap i have not had an issue with rodents in my cabs lol
Enjoying making my way through your videos, love the content! You explain things every well. Small side note, airbags kill without seatbelts, stay safe.
Great video. I enjoyed watching your video alot. Me and my 2 brothers and my Nephew where Combining Canola on Friday all day until we got rain doing the night and it is raining here right now where i live at
ha ! ive been there ! covered bridges were cool , my ex took me there when we were living in indianapolis ,,, but that was about all i liked ,,, cant stand the snow , ,,, i love my Florida and my sugar sand beaches too much...
Lovin the content! Please wear your seatbelt. I have seen too many ppl die from not wearing it. It takes a second to put it on and 1/100 of an accident to happen. I love seeing that big beautiful smile of yours! U go grl!
Are you a second generation farmer, or does it go farther back in your family? It would be interesting to hear some of your family history and how you guys got into farming in the first place.
I love hearing that no its on their side then the other says no its on their side!!! Easy to pass the buck. Are you having the foggy dreary days there as well, hopes to try and cut yesterday but no sun till 2.30 didn't help us and foggy kinda dreary now
I mean they were both super helpful; it was just one of those technology things where it didn't want to work the way it should! We could actually use a rain right now
@@ernholbert same here begging for one for over 35 40 days, got alfalfa i seeded August 14th still yet to get a rain on it, a half inch would ripen the beans better for sure, but need a inch for the later corn and beans to do any good, disked wheat stubble ground this am for manure guys to come apply liquid manure from christensen farms, barley went in the ground in places, ground sure would rip up nice now now but dang
What we see here is life on the farm.....never ending maintenance and upgrades. Somedays I think growing a crop is secondary to fixing stuff. If you ever think everything is ready to go....think again.
@@ernholbert Someone "unnamed" broke my back tractor window once. Also the wind slammed a tractor door shut on me once. My yellow lab was sitting right there in the cab as the glass exploded, didn't even move,he was like,"Yeah, well, I'm still gonna go for a ride".
whoa, s^&t hope you had insurance those windshields are $$pricey$$, the JD dealer wasn't happy when I asked if "that price" included the service tech living in the barn because I can't fix my own damn tractor because of "THE CODES" being proprietary to JD techs only. feel your pain, thanks for sharing, God Bless the American Farmer
John Deere windshields have never been the best. I was picking corn one day and the windshield just fell out. Then I pulled back on the hydro stat so hard if the steering wheel wasn’t there I would have gone out of the window.
Why is it when you have a farm there is always something broke and it's always in the next few days you need it and you know it worked the last time you used it
Hi Erin the product in spray that you put on the rear windshield c is loctite c800 please? the semi trailer is great but what is the make of the truck please? in any case the equipment is very clean at home 🙋♂️Dave
The old fashioned way for sure. I remember years ago (age 12, 1978 or so), I saw a Farmer pop a few kernels of corn in his mouth - while walking his field. Checking for moisture and quality before harvest.
This is a country girl and an hard working girl. She knows her farming. Got alot of respect for her!!

She’s absolutely beautiful and smart
You know you're in farm country when your local Auto Glass store has a Combine windshield in stock, and installs same day!
No Amazon required.
I wonder if they had to use Service Adviser to install it.
your explanation-videos shows that every day for you is a good day, because you smiling every day. i love it.
Measure twice deliver once is the best advice I've seen yet. Retired farmer who knows. Love your channel.
thanks so much! :)
Beauty and brains! Great videos.
FRKN AWESOME 👍😁!! I WANT TO GO THROUGH THE COVERED BRIDGE!!!!!👍🚜🚜
I’m playing catch-up on your videos and have a grand time doing it! You’re wonderful! 😊
Great video Erin
YOU TOTALLY AMAZE ME!!🤔🤯😁😘
I was talking about washing my tractor once and a couple of farmers heard me and acted as if I was insane.
This is one super fine woman!

So cute🦝
Lancaster County PA is covered bridge capital. Check them out sometime.
roscoes ,such a hamm,
Miss you girl ❤️🌈
Dumb question, but what happened to the combine windshield? Or did I miss something in a previous video 🤔
Someone who will remain unnamed accidentally broke it the first day of harvest in 2019.....
Erin Holbert oopsies my bad lol 😬
@@ernholbert Come on! You gotta tell these stories in your videos- every farmer is dying to know. Ha ha
I picked up a log processor on the other side of that bridge a few times. Or at least one that looks similar is that strawberry rd?
Parts manuals are your friend. Usually a quick google search and you can find a manual. Deere is quite easy to find your part numbers.
I can totally handle the parts numbers and manuals, but I struggle when someone calls and I can't see it in person to know which exact part they need
@@ernholbert i meant to tell them to get a manual. lol.
Are you a second generation farmer, or does it go farther back in your family? It would be interesting to hear some of your family history and how you guys got into farming in the first place.
Agreed about technology
need to train roscoe for farm work!!
Don't forget, Erin ... computers are here to make our lives easier! laughs the retired computer programmer :-)

If you like seeing covered bridges. Like she said goto Rockville beautiful bridges
Was that Lake Vermillion in Danville Illinois, LOL. I have friends that live there.
How many bushel of corn does it take to pay for that windshield I wonder?
What we see here is life on the farm.....never ending maintenance and upgrades. Somedays I think growing a crop is secondary to fixing stuff. If you ever think everything is ready to go....think again.
Coon is cute.
Erin is there a slow period in a farmer's life? Like do you work that hard in the winter?
I'm new here. Enjoyed the video. And yes technology does suck
Hello from europa ,romania.
You are gorgeous.
What happened to the combine windshield? Looks expensive.
It got broken last harvest by someone who will remain unnamed.....

Oh, that's rough! To be fair to John Deere though, this was 110% my fault haha
Are you near turkey run state park?
If you majored in Agribusiness, how did you get marketing jobs? Just curious
Why is it when you have a farm there is always something broke and it's always in the next few days you need it and you know it worked the last time you used it
I don't know, but it always seems to work that way
@@ernholbert It always works out in the end somehow
What happened to the Combine windshield?
......it was broken last harvest by someone who will remain unnamed
I'm not a farmer so of course, I looked up the price for these combines, Jesus Christ!
How do you know it's Roscoe and not Roslyn?
Rosco needs a little condo for the inclement weather
Are all farmers rich AF ?
😍😍😍😍
Indiana has lakes? Lol when I drive through all I see is corn and windmills
Hi Erin the product in spray that you put on the rear windshield c is loctite c800 please? the semi trailer is great but what is the make of the truck please? in any case the equipment is very clean at home 🙋♂️Dave
Golly how did the beans get harvested before computers?

I love women wearing baseball style caps
I can't put my finger on why, but I absolutely agree.
eyeroll
0:42. Who are they? Sisters? Cousins?
What is the one thing you’ve noticed since making your videos and channel?
Glass look heavy and awkward and sending pics are cheaper than having to drive back if got wrong bolt
Definitely cheaper than having to drive back!
Never trust John Deere when it comes to their beloved technology. Hire a hacker and have that person fix your tech problems
We used to call those people "mechanics".
Hey what's up I was wondering where is your farm
I'm not being critical, but PLEASE wear your seatbelt!! I would like to see you continue pursuing your dreams!
WOW!!!!
How on earth are you single Erin???
You are Gorgeous!!!!!
Build him a little house PLEASE. Gotta make sure he doesn’t get too cold this winter.
Folgers and poison...mmmmmmmm!!
