    I think that showing the best arishem deck every video is okay, if it remains the same... A few words can be said about it and then we can proceed to another deck!
    Happy vacation Glazer :)

    I honestly like the randomness of Airshem. I enjoy the different highlights of decks that are switching things up to try things new. I know he's not for everybody but for the most part it he stands pretty good against most decks. Hope you enjoy and have a great vacation with your family Glazer!!!!!!

    I'm glad you liked Eson and his variants. ❤ I was considering 3 cards initially for him to look at. Besides that, I went for an At the End of the Game route since as an Ongoing he'd be very similar to Howard the Duck, I wanted his purpose to be more of a game winner than information card. But there were certainly many possibilities.
    Also loved Kro.

    To answer the question, please continue cover whatever are the emergent decks and concepts. Arishem might not be someone's favorite, but knowing what is developing and potential counters for it can help to counter it, as well. I haven't gotten sick of Arishem because I pretty much immediately switched to anti-Arishem decks the week it released. We'll all get through this current phase and onto the next busted thing soon, I suspect.

  • @lordfahren
    @lordfahren หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Arishem definitely doesn't need a deck breakdown like most decks since its strength is being versatile while playing random cards. I appreciate you sharing the decks when they pop up and telling us the major strategies that might exist for certain card inclusions (such as doc ock), but otherwise yeah. He's starting to feel like the new Thanos with being able to cheat out big cards.

  • @andrewbrokos4905

    As an Arishem enjoyer, I really don't get the argument that it's on rails. You're playing random cards! It may be overpowered, but it's not repetitive or predictable. It's also not spoiling your opponent's fun the way Leech or Alioth or Prof X did when they were dominating the meta. In writing this, I'm recognizing that Arishem does usually run two of Alioth/Leech/DocOck, so maybe that's what makes it less fun to play against?

    • @andrewbrokos4905
      @andrewbrokos4905 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      After reflecting on this a bit more, I guess the current dominant Arishem decks rely on abusing their energy cheat to play cards that disrupt the opponent's game plan in ways those cards were specifically designed not to be able to do. Like, Leech and Doc Ock were balanced around being played on 5, so being able to play them on 4 is a pretty huge cheat. Then you've got turn 3 Loki as a backup plan, a card that was specifically nerfed so it couldn't be played on 3 (or on 4 alongside Quinjet). Plus Arishem also gets to run a 6/15+ with no downside (and even some upside against Darkhawk).

    • @filipratkovic5561
      @filipratkovic5561 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It is overpowered, and I've called it day 2 it's overpowered. Thanos players used to say how Thanos isn't overpowered and then just put all the best cards in deck and didn't have to pay attention to curve, much like Arishem players do these days

    • @MrRedx55
      @MrRedx55 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am of the opinion that it also has to do with the fact that if your not running a deck tracker (80% of the meta) there is no indicator at the beginning of the game that your opponent has 2 energy on turn one, if they play a 3 drop on turn two your snap brain barley recognizes it, so when you start dropping bombs your opponent has no time to recover

      The "random cards" are mitigated by quinjet, coulson, fury, loki, white queen, Mirage hell ive even seen Mantis get played
      That +1 energy when you have big cards in your main deck is huge!
      You're playing locations also which help mitigate dead cards. That iron fist or ghost spider, boom into unplayable, that bucky/Deadpool go easily into the 8+ locations that favor destroy
      That randomness turn 6 is insane. How can you plan a counter when it's different every single time?
      Don't get me started on the Blob interactions being able to be played early/twice and still have cards left
      It's OP and the stats show it 😂

    I like that people are having fun, truly. I just wonder about a game where the most fun, most competitive deck is about more energy + random cards. It hurts a whole bunch of the core mechanics: deck building, reading the meta, balancing your energy, and SD's curve balance.
    Hoping they make some adjustments so Arishem is fun but niche and swingy, rather than fun and top of the meta.

    The trends I've seen in my games with Ajax are a bit concerning; lots of all in players that clutter themselves as well as me and then proceed to just play a singular ~30 Power Ajax while ignoring the fact that their other lanes have 8-12 power. It's not pool 1, we seriously don't think that is a gameplan, right? I don't mind seeing alternate takes on Arishem, but I will say that despite exclusively playing it since release, Arishem probably needs a +3-+6 to total number of random cards as the only real lever they have to adjust Arishem other than making your starting hand always be random cards to hit the consistency of the early plays that all seem to be nigh auto-snaps from what I can tell.

    Although people are saying Arishem is a fun card to play, I don't find the deck building that interesting. It's very similar to Loki where you always see Quinjet + Loki, tech, card generation and some cards played for power. Other decks with more unique or uncommon ideas like the one covered after, Gnome's Havoc Bounce, are much more entertaining for me. Therefore, I would prefer if it was shown briefly with comments on the tech cards or flex spots in the deck (Alioth, Doc Ock, Leech, Legion, Enchantress, Shang Chi, Super Skrull, Echo, Nocturne and Rogue) instead of a turn by turn. I hope you enjoy your time in the Bahamas!

    As a side note, IMHO Quinjet is so much more powerful than Echo. I cannot tell you how many times I'm able to pull out cards much, much earlier or drop a ton more power at the end because of have the Arishem power boost *and* Quinjet. I really dislike Arishem dominating the meta, primarily because it throws balance out the window. While there are certainly ways to ‘cheat’ extra energy with cards in non-Arishem decks, they require effort or sacrifice. Arishem decks get that every single turn with the only drawback being having the possibility of drawing unplanned cards, though they can still be played a turn early.
    I know SD is reluctant to change cards people have spent resources on soon after release, but I would much rather they adjust the matchmaking service so that Arishem decks face only other Arishem decks. Personally, I neither like nor want to play uphill games in Snap.

    If Arishem is the best deck, then we should keep showing it because it’s a fact. It can also let the developers know that the meta is not healthy, so they might make adjustments earlier.
    Personally, I enjoy playing Arishem, but I also agree that it is clearly stronger than other decks that don’t run Darkhawk. Fully relying on Darkhawk (and Cassandra) to counter Arishem is also not healthy, in my opinion.

    Yeah maybe not so many full breakfowns for Arishem decks are needed. Still like to see updates for the archetype.

    I honestly don't think we need the turn by turn and breakdowns for the tier 0 Arishem decks at this point, since It's basically the same deck every time. I do think if a different build pops up that definitely needs the coverage, otherwise, you could just link back to this vid going forward. I'm really sad, I had high hopes for Arishem being really fun, but he's just become what Loki, Thanos and Shuri were before him. I also think SD needs to check their randomizer, because playing Arishem feels way more consistent than it has any right to with twice the deck.
    Do you think adding "Your cards can't have their costs reduced" onto Arishem's ability would be a good way to nerf him?

    Although it's clear that arishem is the best deck in the game, Jean and Shadow king do pretty well against it and are underplayed.

    I really hope you don't scale back your Airshem content! I still think there's a lot more potential to uncover with that card

    Arishem turned marvel snap from chess to checkers. I wouldn't hate it as much if it wasn't the majority of my matches, maybe it will die down eventually when Cassandra releases.
    That said, it is unfortunately a top card for now, so keep going with the decks if some new cool thing comes out for it.

      Does anyone play checkers between the ages of 12 of 60? Conquest is dominated by the meta deck, per usual.

    Not gonna lie, when I see 20 in the opponents deck, I usually retreat immediately or as soon as they Snap.

    Most of the Arishem decks are pretty much the same, I don't think they need full guides. If something interesting shows up, go nuts though
