Helping the algorithm here. Even as a collection-complete player, I love when content creators release videos for newer players and those missing a lot of expensive cards. 🤘
This is the kind of anti-churn content that players need to hear. Viewers get too lost in the weeds watching streamers play the new stuff they forget some of the old stuff is still good!
As a F2P player, I really appreciate this, especially the conclusion. I've been playing since the game came out, so I've got a lot of series 4 & 5 cards. Just seeing acknowledgement of players like me is very much appreciated.
Over the past year and change, I've gotten to infinite playing most of these decks, and can personally vouch for their remaining good in the current metagame. I got infinite this season with the Darkhawk list you posted except trading out Lizard for Jeff. You DON'T need high series cards to do well in Snap.
Engagement. I have *most* cards, with only spending on the season pass, just from playing since shortly after release. You made these kinds of videos back then and they were huge while i was working my way through series 2 into 3. Appreciate your work and contributions for the snap community
This is a great evergreen video for newer players, assuming they can find it. It's not a white hot take on the instant meta, but it'll likely be as useful in a month as it is today.
Really appreciate this video. Even as a longtime player I enjoyed it, and it's clearly an amazing resource for newer players and people who stress about being able to stay competitive within Snap's card economy.
This video came out at the perfect time for me personally, i'm helping my brother get back into the game after he took a little Hiatus and having a bunch of different decks I can have him try is perfect
I still have Classic Shuri, Destroy, Discard, Darkhawk and Surfer in my deck roster. It's nice to go back to them sometimes and see that they can still hold their ground in certain new metas. Thanks for the content Jeff, much appreciated!
I agree this is a great resource for newer folks. Like you've said a lot, Snap is so much easier to keep up with compared to other digital TCGs to stay competive as a near-F2P / small spender; I hope that surfacing some of the timeless decks keeps that narrative going.
Every new Marvel Snap player should watch this video. It will make a nice vid to link people to without having to spend a bunch of effort explaining typing a bunch over again.
So many of these decks continue to be powerhouses that pop back into the meta as cards are nerfed and buffed. Great video to show anyone struggling with collection.
Thank you for this video! This will be a good resource to point to when the social aspects are implemented. I know I’m going to try and get some friends back into the game when Alliances launch.
Hi Jeff, this is a great video for new players who need ideas & old players who need to get a grip re: the economy. thanks for spending your algo space making a video like this, really enjoyed it.
I hit infinite every season playing bast bounce, I play it with 2 series 4 and 2 series 5 cards but you can easily cut even that number down and remain effective. it’s probably not the best deck to recommend to new players because it can be complicated or confusing, but it’s a great testament to the fact that there’s plenty of depth available to free-to-play players if they want it. you don’t have to shuri red skull taskmaster your way to infinite if you don’t want to
Excellent video here sir, thank you very much for this one (and for all your great content - your viewpoint is unique and most helpful for players like myself who tend to be competitive but aren't giant whales or content creators). A decklist that I think is really good and very accessible is Patriot (with Brood/Ultron and Wasp for tokens and Wave/Mystique/Onslaught for combo). Keep up the excellent work man, it's really appreciated.
The negative deck is inspiring me. Thank you. I’m up somewhere 2000 CL and do have some S4 S5 but needed more deck ideas that didn’t need an arm and a leg to pull off.
Great video and reminder! The Snap card pool is finally large enough that many early series decks can still put points on the board but are essentially off-meta. Besides, Snap is about snapping - any reasonably competitive deck will work if the player snaps correctly.
I'm guessing the TH-cam metrics are bad, but i appreciate you making this video for people who are starting out. I hope you are and to link it for many years to come
This is exactly what I needed! Just hit 1,000 CL last week and have been struggling to branch out into new decks with my limited collection. You opened my eyes to several decks that I didn’t even know I could make with the cards I have and given me a good idea of which cards I want to go for next.
I've been consistently a top 2000 player since January, mostly playing these classic decks with small variations (for example, including Scarlet Witch in Destroy and Shuri-Sauron to counter greedy Magik decks). People always ask what's the best deck to climb ladder -- the best deck is the one you know best, so you can recognize your good hands and snap early, and know when you have to retreat when the odds aren't in your favour.
Neat list of decks! Was curious what old lists still keep up in the current game but don't see play because they're old, but it's sparked a few lists for me to re-visit and try
Just getting back into Snap, thought I would have be completely outclassed by new cards, great to see the classics still work, especially with small tweaks! Love it!
Excellent video! When I don’t play for a couple months, I can feel a bit lost for what is still good that I can build, and this sort of video is exactly what I need!
This video is perfect, I am in a Marvel Snap server and f2p players always ask for which deck they can use with limited cards I personally dont need it but hopefully this can help them Thaks Jeff
As someone who started playing at shuri's prime, I always have her deck loaded up as my go to deck when missions ask for 20+ power locations wins. Is a really rounded deck
Awesome video Jeff! Thanks so much for taking the time to create this great resource for f2p and newer players. This will be great to show to my friends once the refer-a-friend event starts!
I have most cards but here to support more decks ideas for f2p and new players :) I guess C2 could be added to the list as well, it can be a cheaper deck with pool 3 stuff.
Bought a bit too many season passes at this point to consider myself F2P, but it still warms my heart that you don't need all the shiny new stuff to still play fun and varied decks, especially when the content meta encourages to keep on showing the newest cards
It would be really cool if you could make this into a series with some sort of cadence! Loving you content thanks for your hard work and for being so honest and up front when talking about the game ❤
When I first started playing back in early 2023 I struggled until I made a turn 6 hit monkey deck. 1sunspot, 1antman, 1kittypride, 1nebula, 1rocketracoon, 1squirrelgirl, 2angela, 3bishop, 3hitmonkey, 4kazar, 5bluemarvel. You play sunspot and nebula and kittypride from the start, try to synergize kittypride with angela and bishop. Turn 4 try to get kazar down but if you don't sunspot slurps up the 4 energy, turn 5 try get to blue marvel down if no then see sunspot. Then on turn 6 you spam the board with hitmonkey, and three 1cost usually antman, squirrel girl, and rocket(sub in titania for rocket, maybe throw in bast if you have him). I just got back into snap a week ago and even with the nerfs to hit monkey, angela, and kittypride I cruised from level 15 to level 73 vibranium in 2 days using the same exact deck from a year half ago (I could go further but I got distracted by conquest, deadpool diner, and alliance bounties). You can add in invisible woman to get hit monkey on the board before turn 6 so you can throw down more than 3 other cards on turn 6 (hm modifer doesn't start until he's revealed) boosting hm to even higher levels. It works against destroy killmonger decks usually if you pay attention to who reveals 1st on turn 6. Nobody expects hitmonkey t6. At minimum he becomes a 3/9 card, squirrel girl utility helps u get the antman 1/5 and rocket/titania 1/5 all on turn 6 so a 9+4+5+5= 23 pt swing on t6 Then throw in the sunspot, nebula, kittypride, angela, bishop that you've been cultivating from the beginning and it dominates. From 15 to 73 I probably went 80% or higher winrate. By far the best econ deck I played (I don't think I even had sunspot, nebula, or kittypride when I firsts started playing it, only requirement is hitmonkey).
Great, great video. As a 100% F2P I never understand the complaints about this game being P2W. There are so many competitive decks in this game. Too many people get boxed into the top meta decks, when so many decks can compete.
Been following this game and watch your Marvel Snap content since beta, and somehow i decided not to play this game until yesterday. (Maybe just afraid to add another rabbit hole onto my daily life😂). Anyway great content, it is cool to see a lot of the old cards are still relevant. Though some cards may have been replaced by others due to various reasons (Moon Girl, Collector, Dino, Carnage-Nova, Leech, etc)
As a returning f2p player, my spotlight cache planning is: "Do i have a single card of the week, if yes, I will only open if the card an upgrade to discard"
"OMG I can't believe I NEED every new card to be competitive?!?!?!?"
Jeff: hold my beer.... listen here you little s**t
Perfect comment, perfect video
I want this video beamed directly into every F2P Snap player's brain right now.
Hell-a yeah!!!
*insert a reference about a marvel character that can do that*

Still amazes me watching this it took me a year and a half to get cards like goose and negative
Engagement for the engagement gods.
Thank you man there were some really helpful f2p decks here.
Im CL 12k and this is still helpful. I still find myself missing 2-3 cards for most best decks content creators make 😅
Over the past year and change, I've gotten to infinite playing most of these decks, and can personally vouch for their remaining good in the current metagame. I got infinite this season with the Darkhawk list you posted except trading out Lizard for Jeff. You DON'T need high series cards to do well in Snap.
I hope this does the numbers it deserves. Its easy to get lost in the flavor of the month metagame and forget some old classics that can keep up.
I‘m so curious how this video is going to perform. For new players this video might be a treasure
I assume poorly.
@@HooglandiaSnap As F2P player, I certainly appreciate it.
Shared with my friends who started recently and are in the first half of S3 acquisition.
I'm a returning player, this video was just what I needed. Thanks!
Well into my Snap journey I still play so many of these decks. It is a great list. Thanks for the video!
12:04 love the high evolutionary in the "higher series possible upgrades" background nice detail 😊
Definitely sharing this with my friend who just started playing a month or so ago
Engagement.

appreciate this round-up for f2p players and newer players who are still filling out their collections
You know the meta is good when great decks like these fly under the radar
Snap community needs more videos like these 🙌
I still have Classic Shuri, Destroy, Discard, Darkhawk and Surfer in my deck roster. It's nice to go back to them sometimes and see that they can still hold their ground in certain new metas. Thanks for the content Jeff, much appreciated!

Some of my favorite decks I’ve made over time playing this game used some of these decks as a base. Marvel Snap really is a wonderful card game.
Every new Marvel Snap player should watch this video. It will make a nice vid to link people to without having to spend a bunch of effort explaining typing a bunch over again.
What is this relatable and useful content. You won't get away with this Hogland!
So many of these decks continue to be powerhouses that pop back into the meta as cards are nerfed and buffed. Great video to show anyone struggling with collection.

Many people need videos like these. Amazing as always, Jeff.
Thanks jeff! I just came back after a long hiatus and can really use some older/cheaper decks until i get some new hottness lol
This video is super useful as I encourage my friends to join or return for the Alliance system debut.

This is great for me to send to friends when theyre first getting started! Thanks Jeff!!
The negative deck is inspiring me. Thank you. I’m up somewhere 2000 CL and do have some S4 S5 but needed more deck ideas that didn’t need an arm and a leg to pull off.
Can see this being a go-to video for newer players to Snap. Keep up the good work Jeff.
I shared this with my friend who's new to snap and they found it super helpful. Lovely content very well done
Titania can also be useful on the final turn in Shuri decks since a lot of their turn six plays are usually just another 5 cost (typically Taskmaster.
Great video and reminder! The Snap card pool is finally large enough that many early series decks can still put points on the board but are essentially off-meta. Besides, Snap is about snapping - any reasonably competitive deck will work if the player snaps correctly.
Fantastic and informative video, Jeff. Thanks for putting in the work.
Also, I'm super surprised that Dino doesnt make this list any more!
I love Dino too, but he just doesn't get big enough anymore typically
I took a break from the game, but I started playing recently. This is immensely helpful.
Great video. I played a lot of these on my f2p account. Destroy, negative surfer and HE have all gotten me to infinite.
C2 has also been good for me
I'm guessing the TH-cam metrics are bad, but i appreciate you making this video for people who are starting out.
I hope you are and to link it for many years to come
Engagement for the engagement gods.
I appreciate this type of content, and I hope more players who are lower CL see it.
This is exactly what I needed! Just hit 1,000 CL last week and have been struggling to branch out into new decks with my limited collection. You opened my eyes to several decks that I didn’t even know I could make with the cards I have and given me a good idea of which cards I want to go for next.

Snap can be fun without breaking the bank! Thanks for awesome content Jeff.
Neat list of decks! Was curious what old lists still keep up in the current game but don't see play because they're old, but it's sparked a few lists for me to re-visit and try
Great content that teaches as well as promotes the fun we can have with what we already got (or can readily access). Fantastic as always!
This is a much needed video. Thank you for this.
great video! i wouldn't mind seeing these every now and then
Thanks jeff great vid as always, that ongoing deck looks awesome to me might try that one.
Just getting back into Snap, thought I would have be completely outclassed by new cards, great to see the classics still work, especially with small tweaks! Love it!
Really useful, thx so much for the content
Excellent video! When I don’t play for a couple months, I can feel a bit lost for what is still good that I can build, and this sort of video is exactly what I need!
Definitely some decks here i haven't thought about in a long time.
Thank you ! I tried and won more games than I lost. In honor of that I named my deck The Hooglander after you.
This video is perfect, I am in a Marvel Snap server and f2p players always ask for which deck they can use with limited cards
I personally dont need it but hopefully this can help them
Thaks Jeff
Commenting for engagement so that youtube can put this video out to more new players. Great video Jeff.

Great and valuable vid Jeff, even if it performs poorly it'd be nice to see a vid like this maybe every 6 months :]
This is immediately my favourite video in a while.
This is an awesome video. Love it. Makes me want to play more Snap.
Commenting and watching for engagement even though I personally don’t need it!

I wonder if jeff gets new players as viewers often
SNAP in general is at a point in its life cycle that new players are less in general. Curious to see how this does in terms of performance.
It would be really cool if you could make this into a series with some sort of cadence! Loving you content thanks for your hard work and for being so honest and up front when talking about the game ❤
ty, this really helped after I came back from a year break :) I had a lot of success with toxic surfer too
Yay, I've been waiting for your video on this to send to my naysayer mates
thanks mate, just started playing about two weeks ago. I'll probably have the cards within the next week or so, so cheers

Great content, posting to help more people see
These are great deck choices

Well spoken TH-cam Jeff sounds so different to Twitch Streaming Jeff.
i think marvel snappers suffer the most I've seen from fomo and recency bias and decks like this are still very good
Great video. Thanks Jeff.
As a returning f2p player, my spotlight cache planning is:
"Do i have a single card of the week, if yes, I will only open if the card an upgrade to discard"
It you're missing Proxima Midnight, she's in an upcoming Spotlight btw; pretty sweet other cards too, Hope Summers and Nico Minoru
@@Xencam i got Proxima and Nico, they are pretty nice.
I've played from global launch till Hope's season.
Great stuff. Comment for the algorithm.
I am like 7.7k collector level and F2P Spectrum Ongoing is still one of my favourite decks ever
Im sure everyone will see the error of their ways now when it comes to not having all the new shiny cards . . .
(They wont 🤣)
I expect most will click off the video before the meaningful discussion at the end they really need to hear.
Loved the video!
Solid
I wish Jane Jaw would get some love like reverting lockjaw to his old form
I think Pixie/Blink Asgards is reasonable, just needs some newer cards.
love this
For any new or returning player, this video’s for you! The ability to upgrade these decks and still be competitive is timeless! ❤
Great video!
Thank you!
nostalgia
Toxic surfer has given me sme diabolical games recently, VERY viable deck
Great, thank you.
I love engaging with content 🥰
The video we needed but didn't deserve
