- Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan for the GameCube.
Released in 2005, this game was developed by Krome and published by Activision. Ty is back in the final game released in the series, this time mixing in some awesome robot gameplay to the boomerang action and platforming! The game's writing is also quite a bit funnier than earlier games, although the voice acting doesn't help it too much. In addition, the camera is still not up to par with other games on the system.

@@this_man_dude just recently as well for consoles we got an HD ty 1. Pc got 2 and 3 as well? That's great and hope the other 2 come over as well to console though 3 is apparently awful but I never played it
Anyone who didn't get this kinda missed out..... This guy didn't explain shit, there was so much more collectibles, a free roam area with the crab like vehicle where you can fight a multitude of enemies with aircraft and so on, so many new boomerangs, and areas that were just so fun to play in it was ridiculous. It's like all this guy did is show the flaws

Am I the only one who want's a reboot of not only this, but sooooooo many of the cartoonish 3d platformers. Gex the Gecko, Spyro (and not Skylanders), Crash Bandicoot, Ape Escape, Ratchet and Clank, Kya, Psychonauts, Glover, Banjo Kazooie, and Jak and Daxter.
And then make a huuuugggggeeee cross-over.
+lee iif well when it comes to ratchet and clank, the ps4 reboot of the original is out now. Also Double Fine Productions had a successful Kickstarter campaign for Psychonauts 2, former rare members formed a company called playtonic game, and they are working on a game called "Yooka-Laylee" which is supposed to be a spiritual successor to banjo Kazooie. Actually right now is a pretty got time for fans of good old 3d platformers. But i don't think that we are going to get a new spyro or crash, cause Activision owns those IP's and they won't do any 3d platformers. Naughty Dog also made it clear that they are never going to make a new Jak and Daxter, cause most of the staff that worked on those games has left the company. But Sony did revive Sly Cooper which is also a pretty cool franchise.

I'm Australian, and I do hope developers will make a new Ty and Crash game soon! And please, don't let them suck!
In my opinion, I think this series deserves a HD remastering. They should bring back Space Captain Steve for some extra art designs and costumes. It should have an online/ offline kart racing section in the game selection screen. A collectors edition that includes an art book and a boomerang that looks like Ty's basic one.

I hope. If it does, I hope they do something like I previously posted. Who knows? They may do more than I think. Ty 4 demo? Eh eh.

For the record I don't know if it will be released on the ps3 or 360 It's best to get a current gen console or PC

This game came out in limited quantities for Australia (PAL region) only for PS2 and Xbox. If you are in Europe, you should import an Australian version of this game. It will work on your European console.

I loved the first two games and couldn't wait to play this one when I got it for Christmas back in the day! But I was pretty disappointed because most of the things I loved about the other games just seemed to be missing from this one... Also they tried to reinvent the boomerangs by making them empty shells that you customize with pieces you found and I feel that really took away from the game.

nah,the next Ty game is 2D. Krome has a trailer for it. It is for Xbox 360 and PC. It doesn't look that great. Search Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2013.
i got a xbox origonal copie that was american but it does work on my pal xbox ......... i dont know weather its the same with ps2

Actually... I hated Ty 3, but loved the first two.
This game was always sitting on the shelves at blockbuster
Activision took the series from EA and decided not to publish it outside of North America.
It makes me sad to own the first two games but not this one. I once saw it in a store and begged my parents to buy it for me, but I never got it. The same thing happened with the GameBoy Player for GameCube.

unfortunatly Chrome studios the devs behind this game have been closed down for about four years now.

well if you have a PS2 FAT Version you might of heard about it that you can download an ISO file from under downloads choose PS2 ISO'S and search for Ty The Tasmanian Tiger 3 Night Of The Quinkan PS2 Game.
You can use FREE MCBOOT for the PS2 You Will Need a Network Adaptor And A IDE 3.5 Inch HDD Any Size Will Work And Use A HDD Enclosure And Hook It Up To Your Computer And Copy The ISO Game Over To HDD Using Software Called WINHIIP When That Is Done Plug HDD Back In PS2 Then Fire Up Your Ps2.

Looks more like a stander typo for the first and for the second he probably thought it sounded that way and spelled it as such.
The 1st one is definately the best
I played this as a kid and it was decent. But there was WAY too much repetition in the missions. The ending was also very WTF
Oh, how sad. Well it doesn't mean someone else can't do it for them. Just as long as it's a trustworthy dev and not one of "those" developers who tend to screw up the games they get their hands on.

I hated this game, took the formula of the first 2 away.... Once I realized Activision was on the cover, I knew where it went wrong. It was too action packed and OTT.
