This was one of mine - to paddle my inflatable kayak to Loch Ness.
These moments were truly magical for me.
    Enjoy the wonderful sights!
    Let's go paddling!

Everything was perfect on that day. I couldn't have a better start on my Scottish journey. 😄

That was my best paddling experience so far. 😄

How do you find this compared to the swing, you seem to make great progress in both.👍

      Hi Peter,
Thank you. It's all a learning process for me and that's what this whole channel is about - to document it for anyone who could also benefit from it. 😉
Both Rush and Swing have their place in my fleet. I see Rush as a very versatile recreational kayak, not as fast as the Itiwit x500 was but it allows me to do some nice trips too. Swing is slower than Rush but excels in terms of agility, especially in mild white water. I don't have any white water around me and have never done any runs (no experience then) so I'm keeping Swing for future prospects. Swing only needs a better seat and footrest, while I only changed the seat in Rush for an inflatable one (from Twist).
I did a very nice little trip with Swing some time ago (St. Patrick's Stream near Sonning and Wargrave) and my friend was paddling her Rush. The stream had moving water and sometimes quite narrow turns - Swing was handling them at least twice as well. 🙂

Great video, gumotex vs x500? Which gets your vote?

      Thank you Danny.
I must say a Gumotex - any model. There's clearly something wrong with build quality of the second generation of the x500.
On the flipside, I'm aiming at buying and trying the upcoming Race500 from Itiwit but I'm also most likely going to buy a Gumotex Framura to replace my x500.

Thanks for the fast reply! What happened to your x500 to say that about the build quality? From the outside (I’ve not paddled either kayaks) the x500 defo looks like a nicer bit of kit? Or am I missing something?

I'm having problems with cracks developing along folding lines. This spring I returned my already second x500 in the UK for this reason. I've just come to my family home in Poland, where I hold another x500 for paddling here, this one is now showing the same cracks developing after being stored and not used for a year.
My vote for Gumotex is purely for long term durability. The Strenfit is an inflatable kayak with performance that is closest to a hard shell one. They definitely nailed it here and you have probably seen all the tests I did with it while learning to paddle. However, it turns out (at least for me) it just doesn't last.
I even made a community post on Saturday showing how happy I was to be able to paddle it again. On Sunday I wasn't that happy anymore after inspecting it...
By the way... this trip was meant to be done with an x500 but... life happens... 🤣

That’s a real shame, I was hoping to buy the x500 but if it’s not going to last then I think I will need to steer clear. Thanks for the replies. Back to the drawing board for me and my hunt for a kayak. Will defo look into the gumotex some more.

@@dannyj653 My inspection showed cracks but they are not leaking yet. I had a serie of videos for the channel planned and I'm still going ahead tomorrow (Thursday). A few paddlequickies, some overviews. I only resigned from planned trips, just in case.
