@@pubgfever9725 It was on ebay, lightly used. I saw a few more on there for 175-235 with OS installed yesterday too. It's by far the best laptop I've ever had for under $500.
@@Noor-li3vx fantastic! It's unfortunate the RAM is soldered to the motherboard but it's really the only minor complaint I have so far. I was literally gloating about how much I love this laptop pto a friend a few hours ago, it's a fantastic machine.
It’s not that expensive right now. You can customize it and create an account in Lenovo website to get a coupon. I got one with 1TB SSD 16GB RAM i7 professor for $1,576. The quality material and responsiveness is excellent.
I use the 8GB model with a 256GB SSD and it is pretty on for my day to day work, it’s smooth and powerful. Lenovo keyboard is one of the best and someone like apple needs to take notes like seriously the MacBook keyboard sucks
I agree that they keyboard feel and action are top tier, but do you have any issues with throttling/missed keystrokes? It's been a huge issue for me since purchasing.
Would this ve a decent option for an engineering student in 2024? My budget is extremely modest. If not this one then which Thinkpad would you invest $300 or less in? Ill likely buy from ebay.
Hey dude like your channel. quick question if you can help me.. i have an x380 and i got it without a pen. my question is if i should buy the one that should come with it that you have reviewed or should i buy the Lenovo Active pen 2?
Lenovo's products are usually good but I have never paid anything close to the prices they charge now. Who do they think they are competing against that they think they can get away with these prices?
Thinkpad's tend to last a lot longer than standard laptops. 5 years+ is pretty standard. A lot better than a crappy Toshiba or something that often ends up in the trash after 12 months.
The first Thinkpad I bought with my own money, over five years ago, an SL400 still works. Only trouble I have with it is what the power-on self-test says is a defective fan
5:30 venting ports cant be on the side because one of your hands will end up grilled when flipped to tablet On that notez bye bye.... reviewing skills must enhance
Woohoo! I just got a very nicely kept x380 Yoga, in 2023 for $200, and I have been absolutely loving it so far!
from where

I am gonna get mine today with 16 gig ram. How's yours working so far?

Very honest and costumer orientated review! Keep it going! One question; How exactly is this different yo the Thinkpad X1 Yoga?
The X1 is specced slightly higher and has a 14" display that can be up to 1440p, besides that they are almost the same.
Got hands on it now, refurbed for 280€. It will run pretty with an ubuntu group os because of the 8gb soldered memory.

I know this is an old video, but I'm looking at a refurb. Do you remember what you were doing when it got noisy? Perhaps it was the Premiere render?
Where can I buy a stylus for this laptop that fits in the computer
Hi, Did you raise the laptop with two blue rubber things, can you provide the name of the products? Thanks.

do you **really** need a touchscreen? if no, look into the tihknpad t480 or t480s

phillyguy people still buy them because it's quality, tons of businesses line up to purchase their laptops in bulk for their employees.
Yep, thinkpads are famously used by outdoor men: mining,oil-gas, and telco industries

prices are in line with other major brands - acer, asus, dell - and the specs offered, etc.
to be honest if you have the silver lenovo x380 yoga thinkpad , you can't see any fingerprints on the touch pad
Good review. To me the biggest disappointment is the display brightness. 400 Nits and I would snatch this up for drawing. So my search continues.
How many nits are you looking for on a display? Are you using wacom tablet to draw?
Did you found what it takes? I am searching for a laptop that can be visible on the open, under sun
@@lubov5569 Yes I got an HP ZBook 360 and its display is incredible. Overall a fantastic portable. Well worth the price.
Is it possible to add a second SSD to my lenovo x380 yoga
Will a RG45 even fit in the case?
Wondering myself why Lenovo would include it when you can get a dongle for the other ports, e.g., the Thunderbolt
is there a webcam shutter?
bro that was so helpfull but you didn't talked about the round thing on the screen.
It's on the topright.
Hello, is it possible to upgrade the RAM on this particular model ? Thx
No
How is the color accuracy and is it any good for photoshop and how much it can handle?
Did you find an answer?

what is the battery life like on the battery?
I would like to see a review for the Lenovo ThinkPad A485.
what about an older one with I5 8350u 16 256? Cost just under 300.
Just bought 1 on ebay with `128gb for £159 but got 10% off with easter code so paid £143
wait till you see lenovo realise you can get one of these for like 160 quid on backmarket 😭😭
This was 5 years ago brah!
Excellent!
The placement of the fan puts me off like you mentioned
"it took no more than less than two minutes"

This vs the x1 yoga
Both laptops are good, it depends on which fulfills your requirements more.
Lost you at 4. Twenty..... uh. That was painful.
