    I've seen a cement spraying machine here in Czechia, so that's quite accurate. You supply it raw materials and it mixes them right on the spot as you spray. A bit tougher to set up but worth it on larger building sites. And yes, plaster boards do get attached on metal frames these days and you drill the frame straight in to the concrete.

      My supervisor has been dealing with a contractor recently who started building a cluster of houses before drawing plans for the sewer to serve them. Original plans that allowed for construction to even begin had the houses connecting to an existing manhole and sewer main - which were removed during construction to make way for one of the houses. Contractor is currently having to pay for hotel stay for a buyer who can't close on their *finished* house until it's connected to the not-yet-installed sewer.

    This game is so random...You don't typically insulate inside walls unless you're sound proofing a room. Also, the shims for doors and windows are absolutely necessary to ensure they're plumb so that you don't have sticky doors or windows that don't work. Also, they allow for you to pull off the trim and adjust them after the fact to ensure they're right if you're having trouble with them.

  • @azazeldeath
    @azazeldeath 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The windows are pretty spot on, those wedges we call packers. You make sure its all level and not warping we pack, the packers underneath, they come in tonnes of sizes but from memory I used to just order the boys like 5 sizes.
    I worked for a major glass and aluminium place in aus for awhile after highschool, went back to mechanics after though.
    But I was incharge of inventory. Done quoting/engineering of where windows/doors can go inc profiles of the aluminium extrusion, glass type and thickness etc. Also learnt how to make them and install them. Plan was to be sent interstate to help setup a new branch...I had a car accident instead, lost my job the when I recovered when back to my trade, mechanics. Done a few jobs over the years to further my skill set.

    There's a game similar to this called Landlord Super. It's a game set in the UK and you slowly repair and then rent out a house.

    My father is builder, no you don't usual screws in hollow brick (edit: you put turbo screw, it's long so it doesn't matter that much) and spacers are still used to align windows and doors.
    If you'll need any more tips, answers just ask

    the window packers are to help get the window level, it also combats movement of the house better for the windows etc

    This game just seems to decide when it wants you to suffer from having to do something over and over. Like plastering boring lets just make it so you do a whole wall at once. Brick laying you got to do every single one.

    Well I don’t know if there is any difference between a normal or a brick house foundation, if there isn’t any difference then that’s not how we in Sweden do it
    But maybe some do that in Sweden to just not how we do it or the ppl I see around

    I've briefly worked in construction here in Norway and I don't think anything except for the rebars would be even close to the minimum standards for anything related to a building o.O

    Here in the US I think we use wooden partition's in more residential and metal ones in more commercial or industrial

    • @fumanchu4785
      @fumanchu4785 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not only partitions. That's why there is nothing left whenever there is a tornado, flood, or fire in your residental areas. On the other side of the pond in Europe there went only some rooftiles missing and some windows were broken when the rare tornados hit the past two years quite often for this region. It makes really a difference when a) your house is more or less all cardboard, 2x4 lumber, and foam ...or b) bricks and concrete.
