Thanks for the positive feedback, I will post up another video within the next couple days. Right now the owner is looking for a good used engine, or he is going to cut his loses and sell it as needing a rebuild. I found alot more metal and trash in the pick up screen. So right now I'm in a hold pattern on this one. Story is my customer just bought I a couple weeks ago, he was over enthusiastic. He got to the PO's house kinda late from a 4 hour drive, the guy discouraged him from riding it too much because of disturbing the neighbors, so he just barely rode it around the block. Once home with the bike he went for a longer ride at highway speeds and that's when he felt vibration and heard the noise. PO also told him a story about how he just had it serviced and such, I called the place where he took the bike, and the story was much different than the PO told my customer. In fact they didn't do any service, it was mostly getting the bike to run, and then when they did it wasn't charging, then the bill got to $800 and the PO decided to pick it up that way, and continued the work his self, which is an entirely different story than he told my customer. Just a bad situation all the way around.
How I wish we had folk like this in the U.K.all we get is deep breath and not a fucking clue !!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry Sorry there are good mechanics bike mechanics over here I just have not found one yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, appreciate the compliment. This was an unfortunate situation with this bike. My customer sold one of his favorite bikes to be able to afford this one and it turned out to be a lemon. The story ended well I guess, because once we presented the seller with the evidence he refunded half the purchase price to my customer, then my customer sold it to his neighbor and made the rest of his money therefore regained all his money back in the end. Thanks for watching 🐲
It all worked out for the good, with the collected evidence, my customer got all his money back. Here is the play list th-cam.com/play/PLICWLX3xQIRNmA665IPqUsGbFU0CasdgT.html
Looks like either very poor maintenance / lack of oil changes / someone left the oil filler cap off / ran with no air filter for a long time letting in all that crap. Who knows because generally they're mechanically very strong.
@truecognoscenti4353 we still aren't 100% sure what previous owner did, but this thing was a mess. It all worked out and with this evidence my customer got all his money back from the purchase. Here is the playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLICWLX3xQIRNmA665IPqUsGbFU0CasdgT.html
A 2007 1050 is for sale near me I'm tempted. Says it has a no signal for cylinder 2 injector. But without being able to hear the motor run I don't wanna buy garbage. Im a decent tech
No, not at all, I've heard of people getting over 100,000 miles on them, but if they aren't maintained properly they are vulnerable. Also, they do not circulate the oil well during wheelies, and since these are some of the funniest bikes to wheelie alot of people do them and the engine doesn't hold up, and the bikes are getting bad names because of it. So ridden and maintained properly the bikes are awesome. You can convert them to drysump system and do all the Wheelies you want though. Thanks for watching, tell your buddies to check our my channel and Facebook too. facebook.com/Dragon-Worx-580746142258787/
Awesome, tell him to maintain it well, and not to do too many wheelies because these don't hold up well when wheelied alot. Other than that they are awesome bikes!
Very good video. I look forward to the next one.

On my second listen, or third, I could hear it on the revving. I get it. Too many wheelies. Very good job.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m considering an older speed triple one day and don’t want to end up like this. Good job.

7,000 miles 😱😱😱 what a shame 😵💫
Would you say they are unreliable?
