    Thanks for the video, mate. It was nicely produced, explained perfectly and answered all my questions. I just put out my order for this and can´t wait to start. You are one of those TH-camrs, where I simply do not understand the subscription amount - this should be a 100k subs channel at least, and as a fellow creator I wish you all the best for the way. Subbed and liked of course

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can lock the camera on a subject by centering it in the duration of a slide which works well. But there is no tracking function where it will follow you. I hope that makes sense

  • @klt3065
    @klt3065 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thank you for the breakdown of this slider. I can't wait to use mine however, I am not a fan of downloading apps that have horrible ratings, which this one does. I purchased the remote in hopes of using it and now I can not update it. The remote did will not pair to the slider. I read the manual which states BEFORE pairing, you must update the slider firmware. I followed the provided instructins with no success. Have you updated the firmware of the slider? I refuse to download it to my macbook pro, so I used my hp and got as far as 3. Firmware update but its telling me the path name is incorrect which is something I don't control. Can you tell me how you did this?

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey, you should not have to update the firmware for the remote to work. I did not update any firmware on my remote. It worked straight out of the box. There should have been a user manual that tells you how to configure the remote for the slider. You probably can go to your Amazon cart and look up the manual that way on the product page or on neewers website if you can’t find your remote. It was a little tricky to pair. And It took me a second to figure out how to do this but it works without firmware update.
      The app isn’t that bad and will work for your needs but yes the remote makes things much faster.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the app can save your custom settings (point AtoB if set, speed etc..l) It saves the previous settings after powering down and repowering back up. You can also create favorites in the app of custom speed and selected points to recall the same movement for next time. hope that answers your question.

      @WilliamNevius  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Whast up bro! So when you do not use the pan slide, there is no jitter, only when you adjust the 2 knobs on each side? Thats strange. The red knob on the front is untightened, right? and you are tightening both knobs to adjust the pan motion? That shouldn't happen if you're getting smooth motion without pan.

    Great reivew! How is the slider holding up? I bought mine not too long ago and my shots are quite jittery. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. This is holding up great for me and still getting great smooth shots. For the jitters have tried to calibrate the gimbal? Are you loosing the locking knob for the center plate? Without the motor on does it move smoothly? Maybe check the track to make sure it’s tight? Im assuming your camera is below weight limit?

    very good review. Could you please tell me the best camera settings for use while using a slider? No one seems to talk about that. Every review I've seen only mention the slider. I just purchased that slider... Never done a video in my life 🤣🤣🤣. But I want to learn how to do it. Any tips on camera settings, like aperture, ISO, speed and such? I would very much appreciate it. Cheers! and keep up the good job.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Miguel. Much appreciated. People don’t talk about camera settings because it all depends on the environment you’re shooting in. For professional shooters you want to be in manual video mode. The most common frames per second would be 30 fps or 24 for cinematic. If your shooting in 30 you want the shutter speed to be 1/60 for 24 1/50 (double the frame rate) aperture would depend on the lighting in the scene and if you want the focus to be narrow, iso comes into play when shooting and your exposure is low.
      I’d recommend watching a video on TH-cam that goes over your specific camera functions And lots of videos on how to shoot video in manual. I learned from youtube as well (:
      I know this is a lot of info but I hope this is helpful cheers my friend.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It can. You need to set it manually by placing your subject and adjusting the pan on the slider so it keeps your subject in the center. There is no auto tracking feature but manually setting it is very doable.

    Plz respond- what tripod should i get with it

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a single heavy duty tripod but I’d recommend 2 light weight tripods. You can also use light stands. If you search heavy duty or lightweight tripod you will see some options. They all pretty much do the same exact thing and the difference is heavy duty can support 30lbs and light weight travel can support 7 lbs. just make sure you’re using 2 or have one on one side and resting the other side of the slider on something. Using 1 will cause problems eventually. Hope this helps
