Hi, usually the filters over the openings where the sound comes out are the ones which get clogged and cause noise issues. You can try using a tooth brush to brush them off, and if its metal shavings which have been attracted to the speaker, you can use a small magnet to try and remove them off the filters. But if its the top speaker, you would need to take it apart to remove the speaker and brush off the filter or replace the speaker etc. And yes you would need replacement adhesive to re apply the back plate. Thanks. It could be a loose connector or sometimes from drops, the screens get a hairline crack somewhere that is hard to see or not visible which prevents the screen from displaying anything. It could also be water damage if any corrosion built up around the screen connector or motherboard or just a defective screen. Usually not a software issue.
Hello. How to replace front camera? I get dust on the front camera. And the interlocutor hears an echo during the conversation. What could be causing the echo? Does the sound from the speaker reach the microphone from above or below?
there is a secondary mic on top you can see the hole for it on the frame. Also the camera is held in place with glue, so i doubt its from the back side but more likely from the front. the screen adhesive has probably gone bad and is lifting up, allowing dust under the glass.
Great video, very informative. Could you please clarify if the microphone setup is exactly the same as the regular S21? I’m especially concerned with that microphone under the flash - I have bought two different regular S21 and on both of them the sound quality when recording video and mainly in video calls using WhatsApp for example was really awful especially when filming for example my kid from a small distance, persons in the other end of the call cannot distinguish what he says. I’m assuming this is because there is no microphone hole on the back… Well the plus version have the same issue? Thanks for any help on this matter.
I'm not too familiar with flashing software and unlocking bootloaders etc. First someone would need to find a way to unlock the bootloader if I am not mistaken before software can be altered or flashed.
@@heever91 Oh, not too sure, but I'm almost positive with software from a dual supported enabled model flashed onto the phone, it will read dual sims. Or if the software is rooted/bootloader unlocked and the second sim reader pins are enabled from the software. It was the same way with other phones where it required the software from a dual sim version to be flashed onto the phone when you tried making use of the dual sim slot from a phone which originally had the dual sim but was disabled.

Accidentally I inserted SIM ejector tool inside the S21 Ultra microphone hole. I also applied some force in an effort to push out the tray. Although, the phone is working OK so far. Did I break something inside? Microphone / Mesh / Water protection. Kindly clear my doubts.

Thanks. Even if you replace it with a dual sim reader sub board, it wont read a second sim since the firmware on the phone has it disabled. You would also need to flash the firmware to one that is from a model that does support dual sim so it has the feature unlocked. But you may also run into signal issues since the sub boards have different antenna contacts and may not be fully compatible with network providers in different regions etc.
Remove the back plate, and screws on the top motherboard covers and remove those so you can disconnect the power button flex, and pull the power button flex with metal bracket from inside the frame slot out.

Maybe you could put me out of my misery hahaha I'm concerned in reason of a mal practice by me when I bought my galaxy s21, was very excited and even tho it was a light pressure I did insert the sim tool at the bottom mic hole. I did some research but nothing with a solid confirm that this pressure would or wouldn't damage the microphone, or even affect the IP68 water resistency of the phone. As I mentioned was a light pressure, but It happened anyways. The microphone sounds clean and unaffected, and it is something very unusual to happen, but yeah.. I was the genius to do it. haha
My ultrawide camera lens cracked a few days ago, so I just wanted to know if my phone will still have the water resistance after I get my camera lens replaced.
Hi, depends on how it is replaced. If you replace it with an original oem replacement with original pre cut adhesive then yes it should retain the water resistance. You can also order the complete original oem back plate/ back glass with the pre installed pre cut adhesive ( www.mobiledefenders.com/samsung-repair-parts/galaxy-s-series/galaxy-s21-5g-81.html ) and pry off your old back plate and apply the new one, press firmly down on all the sides for 30 seconds to adhere the back onto the phone and that should do it.
@@Johnsolo_23 If its a Samsung service center, they only use original parts and also test to ensure correct seal for water resistance. Only mom n pop shops or other places that are not authorized by samsung may use aftermarket parts or not guarantee a water resistant seal. You're welcome :)
Yeah its held on with adhesive so you should be able to heat that outer portion and pry it off, but be careful since there is an underlying thin metal frame under that as well which is tucked underneath the back plate/battery door. So you would want to just pry off the top layer metal frame. Also the circle class covers over each camera are held in place with adhesive too and those can be individually replaced as well. Worst case if you damage anything on the back cover attempting it, replacements aren't too expensive. Depends on if you are replacing just the outside button or the flex cable internally with the clicker on it. If just the button, it can be pulled out from the frame. If the flex cable, it requires on this model to pry the screen off to gain access to it. So you would need to disassemble the phone and pry the screen off as well.

dual sim try and flashing a firmware which has dual sim enabled would most likely make it work for you. But not sure which firmware you would need or where to get it from. You would need to know which region or carrier firmware comes with dual sim. I believe the UAE version has dual sim but again not sure where to get the firmware.

Yea it's not too clear on their website, but if you can get to some specifications page on their site, it should list Sim 1 and Sim 2 in network section or mention dual sim. Also It should mention it in the highlights section of the phone. Ya its Li-ion on these. Its possible different regions may have different battery types depending on suppliers etc but most likely most if not all will be the same.
@@PBKreviews now i realized that seams that the snapdragon version, that comes with mmwave antennas, comes with Li-Polymer battery... seams that one more time, in one more aspect the exynos variant comes kind of "downgraded"...
has 3D graphite layer which transfers heat. This is what has replaced copper vapor chamber, it lasts longer than copper vapor chambers and does just as well.

for what on earth you need more than 256 gigs of storage on a phone? (and you can get onedrive or some cloud storage aswell so i really dont see the point in expandable storage)

You're best bet would be ebay or other online markets which people might have taken the phones apart and selling the motherboard by itself. If not you would need to find a phone with a broken screen or other issue to take the working motherboard from.
Back of my phone, right under the camera and the three buttons, the back panel is slowly opening. I want to re apply it back so that I won't have to go pay someone to do it. But I don't know what to use, I can't just use a hot glue gun on it.
They have changed the wireless charging and NFC combo structure, it looks way different thanthe other S21 series. Also.. 2 words again.. ClEaR pHoNe? But again, it will not look as good as old Galaxy phones
Did you brush off the corrosion on the connectors and chips? also its possible the battery, display or other parts may have shorted or gone bad and you would need to try replacements with each to see where the problem lies. With water damage it's always complex. If its the board that has issues, then you're out of luck.

You're welcome. The mic sits above the hole so the pin wont touch it.

Thanks and yes it is the same as the S21. So changing from the S21 to S21+ would not make a difference as far as the microphone layout/setup.

@@mrfantasticindian1593 you would need to find FW that works for snapdragon and uses dual sim. The US based all single.
Is it normal for the graphite thing near the cameras to heat up a little? even if the phone is not being used/stand by mode?
yea, sometimes running apps in the back ground or antenna being in use can cause it to heat up a bit.

It's a type of glasstic material. More shatter resistant. But ya is glass on the S21+ and ultra, but the s21 is plastic.
Can you remove the aluminum 3 camera housing cover WITHOUT removing the entire back of the camera?
Yeah its held on with adhesive so you should be able to heat that outer portion and pry it off, but be careful since there is an underlying thin metal frame under that as well which is tucked underneath the back plate/battery door. So you would want to just pry off the top layer metal frame. Also the circle class covers over each camera are held in place with adhesive too and those can be individually replaced as well. Worst case if you damage anything on the back cover attempting it, replacements aren't too expensive. If you have glass flying everywhere you did it wrong
S21 and s21+ are not glass backed. It's a plastic.

It has water resistant features like the water resistant adhesive on the back plate as well as the rubber gaskets on the openings for the speaker/mic etc.

Depends on if you are replacing just the outside button or the flex cable internally with the clicker on it. If just the button, it can be pulled out from the frame. If the flex cable, it requires on this model to pry the screen off to gain access to it. So you would need to disassemble the phone and pry the screen off as well.
If you put the mainboard flex cable upside down how much damage can that cause?
I think you should be fine, just flip it around and install it correctly.

i purchased a s21+ from amazon to dubai it has open u1 firmware but only 1 sim card i purchased a dual sim card tray online will inserting dual sim card tray and flashing new firmware make my mobile dual sim. can u guide me which firmware to flash...
dual sim try and flashing a firmware which has dual sim enabled would most likely make it work for you. But not sure which firmware you would need or where to get it from. You would need to know which region or carrier firmware comes with dual sim. I believe the UAE version has dual sim but again not sure where to get the firmware.

No, just means it does not have mmWave 5G but still has sub 6Ghz 5G.

Could be a loose cable. Make sure they are all in place properly.

Yea it's not too clear on their website, but if you can get to some specifications page on their site, it should list Sim 1 and Sim 2 in network section or mention dual sim. Also It should mention it in the highlights section of the phone. Ya its Li-ion on these. Its possible different regions may have different battery types depending on suppliers etc but most likely most if not all will be the same.

Dude there's like dust in between the glass and aluminum of the cameras. On mine
Its possible the adhesive strip has lifted up allowing dust to get in. You can always order a new backplate with pre installed adhesive strip to replace and solve the problem. Here is a link : amzn.to/3xJlLZk

You're best bet would be ebay or other online markets which people might have taken the phones apart and selling the motherboard by itself. If not you would need to find a phone with a broken screen or other issue to take the working motherboard from.
Back of my phone, right under the camera and the three buttons, the back panel is slowly opening. I want to re apply it back so that I won't have to go pay someone to do it. But I don't know what to use, I can't just use a hot glue gun on it.
They have changed the wireless charging and NFC combo structure, it looks way different thanthe other S21 series.

Did you brush off the corrosion on the connectors and chips? also its possible the battery, display or other parts may have shorted or gone bad and you would need to try replacements with each to see where the problem lies. With water damage it's always complex. If its the board that has issues, then you're out of luck.

Yes, the S21 and S21+ also comes with a screen protector pre installed and a thin plastic film which you peel off before using the phone.
