    I fail to understand why so many people seem to dislike this girl. In my opinion, she is one of the least superficial players nowadays, and always trying to improve (and ironically, a Gemini). Losing one match is not the end of the world, and I think she's done enough for the sport, until now (and she's just 22 years old). I like her very much, as a player and (I think) as a human - from what I've seen. But she gets a lot of hate, I see... I guess people prefer more easy-going players.

      I agree with you. Most of the bad comments are coming from the Russian and Bielorusian etc.
      Iga is just 22 years old and doesn’t deserve the hate /some of them are just nasty/.
      But is hard to deal with some nationalist idiots…
      This is hard sport and everyone is going to play own the best against any #1

    Iga is only 22 and has many good years left. Some people say she struggles against big hitters. If she does, then everyone does. She has winning records against Sabalenka, Keys and Kvitova. So Swiatek is certainly capable of beating big hitters.

    I think Australia Open is not her favorite tournament. Hopefully she will win one day. He took Nadal a longtime to win Australia Open and US Open. Djokovic also took a longtime to win Roland Garros. Serena won just three Roland Garros. As a tennis player you don't get to be strong on every surface. She needs to keep believing that she can win it one day.

    • @ralucashu
      @ralucashu 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      The potential is there, but it is still way too early to place her in the same category with Nadal, Williams and Djokovic who each have more than 20 GS.

    • @thriftingtrendylooks
      @thriftingtrendylooks 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      @@ralucashu of course she is not yet in the same category like the great champions but I meant that they have grands slams that were to difficult for them to win. Nadal lost 2 to 3 rounds in Wimbledon, USOpen and Australia before lifting the trophy. Djokovic and Federer took longer to win Roland Garros
      As a tennis player you can not be excellent at very surface.

      @marekwojtowicz3005 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Riding a 18 match win streak isn't a slump. Two rounds of emotion draining must have taken it's toll. Then going into a contest against someone who's playing the match of her life is not a cake walk. Let's see what happens next but being number one and automatically a favorite again is not helping. If she's ranked 5 and starts winning plenty I wouldn't care.

      In fact, she doesn't say anything relevant: she wanted to break, but she doesn't say why she didn't succeed.
      In fact, she has no plan B, she has no variation in her game, she is predictable. The serve is also vulnerable, today it looked bad.
      The tactic was wrong: power rallies gave Noskova an advantage. Iga did not change anything in the decisive set so She was easily read and countered.

      @@cristina3726reading Iga's behavior on and off the court, it is clear how much pressure she was under in this tournament. She is young and not fully aware that she is like plasticine made by her staff. In addition, there is emotional and business dependence on her father. For me, the lack of freedom and natural reactions in Iga's game is clearly visible. Instead, there was a lot of nervousness, missed shots, a lot of unforced errors and bad decisions about the direction of shots at key moments. This bandage under the knee is also a signal that the human material is tired. For me, it's high time to consider what is good for her, what is bad and whether she is going in the right direction. From an observer's perspective, the constant presence of the psychologist is as disturbing as the trainer's stony face. In my opinion, it's time for a change. As you can see, changes can be good, as in the case of young Gauff.

    It was surprising to see Swiatek so helpless in front of her 19-year-old opponent. Noskova reads the game well beyond her years and is surprisingly calm. Rybakina was not so helpless in the match with Blinkova. And here we saw a pure and absolutely deserved defeat. And I would also like to note the accuracy and power of Noskova’s blows, I think this girl will still surprise us.

    • @jefdarcy
      @jefdarcy 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      What do you mean "helpless"? Yes, ultimately Noskova deserved it a little more, but It was still a very close match, could have gone either way. In fact, Iga had a better winners to unforced errors ratio than Noskova, which surprised me because watching the match I had the impression that she was making way too many horrendous forehand errors, often sending the ball waaay beyond the lines. And then I don't know how many times she pressured Noskova to play a short, high ball that usually allows you to easily close out the point, and then she hit that easy ball straight in Noskova's direction. 🤦‍And this is nothing new, but I thought in this match it was extremely blatant and frequent, her coach should work with her on using her peripheral vision. But let's be honest, her top form just wasn't there, that was evident in all three matches, and I'm pretty sure if she had somehow beaten Noskova, she would probably have lost in the next round or in the semis at the latest. One thing I have to give to her though, she was fighting, she was trying to take the initiative in the third set, she didn't look frustrated, just hung in there, but ultimately it didn't work out. And Noskova really played a hell of a match. I mean she's still just 19, it was her first AO, and she beats the reigning #1! Now I'm really excited for her match against Svitolina.
      By the way, Blinkova made 20 more UEs than she hit winners, can't believe how she managed to win this match. She definitely helped Rybakina more than Noskova helped Swiatek.

    She did well considering the Draw she was given. Wonder Woman could not have gotten thru it. without fatigue and injury. Noskova looks like the only time she excercises, is when she is eating a fat burger. If Iga was given a fair draw, the results would have been different. It is very disrespectful to her as a number one player to be dealt a draw harsher than a wild card, qualifier or Noskova at number 50. As a number one player, Barty was never given these types of draws in any tournament. One thing for sure, since Iga has exited, those stadium seats won't be filled from here on out. The WTA is always blasting Saudi Arabia. However, I bet as top players, both Iga and Elena would have gotten fair draws. Enough said.

    Let me simplify it for you folks: On a hard, fast court, you cannot continue to hit top spin and let the ball sit up for your opponent, especially when they are hitting the ball flat. Iga doesn't have a consistent, big serve, so there's that - she puts too much spin on her serve, especailly when the game gets 'tight'. She also made some untimely, unforced errors. Her game will work on clay but not on hard courts. Noskova was serving at an average of about 150k, so it wasn't as though her serve was getting her easy points. If Gauff can hit the ball as flat as Sabalenka - on serve and groundstrokes, she'll be more formidable than Serena. She's starting to do so, especially on her 1st serve, but she still has some way to go. At least she's recognized her weakness.

Rybakina was the same, the pressure came on and the forehand was giving errors after errors. I think Iga needs to shorten the points on a few occasion and go to the net to get quick points on the board. U cant always win the baseline rally, won't always work. The more doubles Iga plays like at United Cup and then at the Olympica in Paris it will help her develop her net game to add another weapon to the baseline game.
