O wow what a cool interview! More of this please.. I only wish it was longer, but even this length gave us a subtle glimpse into Iga's mind in a chill atmosphere.. and just when I thought I couldn't love her more, she requests the harpist to play Florence + the machine, and then they started playing the dog days are over in the end! Woo this has just made my week! Thank you 🎉
I love Iga's game and what a nice person she is as well and Michael Kosta is as good as it gets as an interviewer, funny but not over the top, Im sure Iga would agree, he's got game!
Enjoyed this interview! Especially the harp music! How surprising. As a professional harpist myself. Would you ever be interested in hiring me to play on your show??
Season 2 seems to be having a different creative direction and somehow it doesn't feel very warm and fuzzy. I mean, if they can't do it with Andrey or Iga, I'd be a little skeptical of this season.
Lets not forget she only became number one in the first place cos Ash Barty retired suddenly. Im not saying she couldnt have got there eventually anyway but she was gifted it to begin with and she knew it.
More of getting to know things about the players we have never seen, heard, read about, and answer no interviewer was able to pull out of them before and less silliness and antics.
Last year was odd, but sometimes endearing. Tennis players are always so busy with media at Indian wells, they seemed so forced. This segments tries for cute and lighthearted, but It’s second hand embarrassing to watch.
But Swiatek is not how you spell Świątek. It would sound totally different in Polish if it was spelled Swiatek. Can't they just use Polish letters when they show her name during matches on tv? I mean I'm pretty sure if she was American they would use the correct letters to write her name even if they weren't in standard English alphabet, I'm sure they'd do it if she were from one of the "western" countries, it's not really that hard, just change the keyboard option to Polish characters... ś is alt+s & ą is alt+a
Americans and WTA skip French diacritical marks. I think there are good reasons to do it: - it's very easy to make mistake if you're not a native speaker - some letters have very slight differences (e.g. in Czech alphabet Í í and I i Ú ú and Ů ů) it's even easier to make mistake if you are in a hurry, which is typical situation in media. So it's easier to just skip diacritics entirely, even if it's an obvious mistake for native speakers. WTA is consistent, they skip diacritics in Spanish, German, French and many others alphabets), - many fonts don't have expanded character sets i.e. there's no Latin letters from non-Western languages, especially Central, Eastern and Southern Europe (e.g. Polish, Czech, Slovakian, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Croatian, Slovenian). So if you try to type it, you got blank or completely different letter. Fonts used by WTA have extended character sets, but they are not very polished, they use free fonts...
@@vojtasjedyny Without using the correct characters in a given language, correct pronunciation is magic for foreigners and lacks logic. It would be very easy to add a dozen extra characters from different languages in the Latin alphabet to your knowledge base than to keep tinkering blindly. Not all stamps above letters are accents: in Polish, a sign above, below or crossing out a consonant is a complete change in pronunciation, and four consonants placed next to each other are pronounced as two in a completely different way. It's simple knowledge, nothing difficult once you know how to pronounce a given character. The use of such characters from different languages in the media would allow us all to know and assimilate them.
@@ulasliz I know, but tell that to WTA, media owners and journalists, not me. I know from experience (graphic design), that additional foreign letters are potential traps, and editor has to be extremely careful. In perfect world there would be only one alphabet and one language.
Why is the host always so incredibly rude to the ball boy/girls? They're so fast and professional. He doesn't seem to respect them enough. I'm not surprised that after all these seasons, this show still doesn't have a fanbase or many likes on most of their videos, despite the amount of views. I feel like it's not difficult for the host to be kinder and more respectful.
@englishteachermb1 Polish alphabet is a Latin one... Girl skipped Ś and Ą which are spelled and pronounced differently than S and A. But that's understandable because she doesn't know Polish alphabet and additional Latin letters used by Poles: Ą Ę Ć Ś Ł Ó Ń Ż Ź
Lol, she named Federer as the GOAT rather than the one and only true GOAT Novak Djokovic - numbers and records don’t lie. Then she named Serena Williams as the women’s tennis GOAT, lol, a known doper of performance enhancing drugs, as per the WADA hack of 2016. I just lost a ton of respect for Iga.
Miss Swiatek, with full respect for your sporting achievements, if you want to make political statements on the tennis court attach a ribbon with Palestinian national colours to your hat next time.

In general yes. But the times she got desperate and tried to distract her opponent by waving her arms like a bird...that was f'd up.

Is it just me or do these interviews not feel warm and fuzzy?
Its just plain trash 😂 its just fun for the awkardness
yeah, dude is just a show off.
Not just you. The guy tries to be funny but doesn't really pull it off and the interviews just seem awkward.
Just you
Its a weird/copy version of Kevin Hart's cold as balls.

I'm surprised she didn't say Rafa was her GOAT of tennis since he is her idol.
that interviewer seems like a plonker
Why can't tennis channel get Iga & the rest of the top players on here for their podcast?
