Well done William, ya handled the calf well after your trip 😂😂. From William Burns 75yo pensioner from Sunshine Coast Queensland. Be king William some day. Great video
Baleage making looks a bit drier than some of the Northern Hemisphere's recent maize silage & earlage harvesting. One video was using the solids manure spreaders (with the spinners up the back of the machine)to bring in the chopped maize as the ground conditions were too soft and muddy for the heavier very large trailers.
Taieo te taieo have their AGM at Pirongia on the 6th of November. It would be great to see how your plantings fit into a larger picture... and top job with the calves kids!
Hi Andrew, don’t understand why you strip spray then spray the rest for planting maize Would you not get a better silage crop if you just spray the once or have I got this wrong
Totally get what you mean. And I’ve wondered the same thing. However if you don’t strip spray and plant straight in to the recently sprayed paddock from what I understand it not as affective. I’m really happy with how it has turned out this year, which you’ll see next video. It’s not quite as bad because we can spray our selves but definitely fine tuning they system
Tell me Andrew, when you strip spray for maze, then spray before cutting for silage then you put your cows in to clean up the backcut area and any missed silage, is there any affect on the stock from the spary residue, or the milk. Cheers
Brilliant idea for the school to do the livestock handling, more schools should take note over here in the UK 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice video nice to see the irish baler in New Zealand
Best time of the year 😍👌🏽
Your kids involved with the calves are very important.
Definitely 👍
Thanks for sharing.. always nice seeing summer type weather again 😮😊.. stay safe 🏴
Ha ha. The old fella’s and their copper bracelets. Makes me think as an underground copper miner for 40 years it was worth it 👍
Your kids did really well. Well done
Thanks, low number helped 😂
Yeah I remember calf club day very well in Rotorua. Dad wouldn’t let us take calves so we would just take lambs.
Haha same here, said they were to much work
Awesome drone footage, thanks! Worth the headache 😅
What a great way of getting kids involved in agriculture. And a love for animals...
Just keep them away from Bulls even the young Bulls as they're dangerous
@@svfproductions9520 Not if they are handled well from calf stage.

We had a good spell of weather for a few weeks, turned again now.
Feel for them up north, they seem to have had a hard season from start to end

Is that the corridor? Or another one? I thought I went to the AGM a while back but maybe it’s slightly different?
Yep, the corridor, 3rd year anniversary. Another 50 000 trees went in this year. Have a look on their website or in the te awamutu courier.
@herculesmuscle7787 I definitely will thanks for letting me know 👍
❤❤❤
We have 6Ha and the contractor comes with something like your contractor did to cut 2Ha for us. Is like a 10mim job to cut it all for balage 😂
Well done kids 😊😊
Do you keep those calves cos they will be so easy to handle later on.
Yep definitely, they will go into the milking herd in a couple of years 👍
