This video is so informative, helpful. To my surprise, the whole process is demanding, laborious which need significant people to have it done. Im appreciate your ekip, effort to get this video published.
Wonderful presentation and production about olives and olive oil! I returned from Corsica and learned that the Greeks travelled the Mediterranean and planted olive trees as they travelled. Wild olive trees were present in Corsica but with small fruits.
Oh my! This woman! The constant demonstrative hand movements with each word. The constant head bobbles to add stress to the words. The intense facial expressions to show how deeply each and every word affects the soul. WAH!!! Enough already.
I think how productors filter the oil makes a big impact too. I am from Jaén (where she was) and I tried olive oil from Morocco and it was totally different. It had small bits inside and tasted more raw in a way because it was filtered less (I was told). It's another interesting way to make it your own way
A real treat of a video. First watched your 5 tips. Then went on Amazon and bought a fresh bottle. Mine expired 2 weeks ago, as did, turns out, my lemon juice. Planning on incorporating a tablespoon a day on an empty stomach for overall health benefits, heart, cholesterol, brain/anti-dementia potential aid, anti diabetes et al. Meh. I don't think it can hurt unless there is some underlying rare health disorder with the oils. Ever heard of Lorenzo's Oil..the film? Should see that!! Olive oil IS medicinal for sure.. as you said very well. Thanks again.

South of Jaen, we had a storm the other night, and the wind floored most of my avocados. I took a large bag to Örgiva, and exchanged it for some fresh olive oil, which I´ve just tried, on a lump of local bread. Olive oil has a shelf life of two years, and the oil in the supermarkets is always a year old -- this was my first experience of fresh olive oil and it was very light and fragrant, with a lovely smooth taste. Olive trees need pruning regularly, keeping up with my dozen trees is enough for me, the sight of those acres of olives is a bit daunting. Saludos desde Las Alpujarra.
Picual olive oil is my favorite! After i bought it by mistake I've never looked back. Its so good. I make bread just for this oil y'all. Nice, trust me!
I know a little about this. I had family in the olive oil business. I’ve had the opportunity to run the olive harvester and also ran the press for 2 seasons. So I’ve seen the entire process from tree to bottle. You might be shocked on how violent the harvesting is. Sometimes the harvester will rip the entire tree out of the ground. It’s also amazing to me that some people will come from across the globe to be there for olive oil pressing. And olive oil fresh out of the press is pretty amazing. It has a bite to it.

For this reason, the temperature of the olive milling and the entire process is closely monitored. And producers of high-quality oil use tanks inertised with nitrogen, so that the extra virgin olive oil is never in contact with oxygen in the air. The oil is bottled in dark glass bottles, or in cans (these are almost always 2.5-3-5 litres, small cans are not usually used in Spain).
I grew up among olive trees in Sylmar (sea of Olives) in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Italian families would harvest our olives in return for olive oil. I have never since tasted olive oil as aromatic as that. As kids, olives were great sling shot ammo. While our trees were only around 100 years old, many trees in our area were planted by the Spanish and indigenous converts and thus, hundreds of years old.
Haha I grew up around olive trees in California too, and yes!!! My brother and my friends and I would have "wars" pelting each other with the olives hahaha

I was just wondering the other day in my head how olive oil was made. Then this video just pops up while I’m scrolling TH-cam. A little freaked out by that, but very nice informative video! I feel like an olive oil expert now, well done!
By far the most beautiful and educational movie I have seen on youtube about how olives are harvested and olive oil is produced in my opinion. My father was born 80km to the east of Ubeda (province of Jaen), where this movie is shot, which is more mountainous therefore more labor intensive to harvest; resulting in even higher quality of extra virgin olive oil. Living in The Netherlands myself, I have started to import olive oil, to share this healthy product. Thank you for this great documentary!
I have had an experience like this where we harvested 200 kilos out of trees in southern france, gave us around 40 liters of the best olive oil we ever had. Top quality stuff, after 7 years we still have around 10 liters left and it’s still amazing!
I have used Italian, Spanish and Greek olive oil in my dishes. Of course, in addition, each country has different regions with different olive oils. From my experience I can say that for me personally the olive oil from Tuscany is the best. But good oils also come from the Lake Garda region (Italy) or from Mallorca (Spain).
I have to say that intro is a work of art. The beauty of the backdrop. Your own beauty, how your animated you are. The sweep of information ….. just remarkable. Very beautiful
Thanks for the amazing video. I now live in southern Spain and am in my fourth week of curing olives that I have foraged from roadside trees in my area, basically rogue olive trees. This is my first try at it.
You are so passionate and knowledgeable about the olive fruit, I am convinced that just from watching this wonderful production that my olives will turn out as they should,... Thank you for your positive energy, the world could do with a few more of you👍
THATS STEALING !!!!!!
@@dannyho6786 Lol, how could you think of taking your own life because of porn addiction? Is there some kind of religious guilt involved? I just don’t see the big deal here, it’s just porn….
That’s like saying someone is addicted to exercise. Sure, everything can be taken a bit far, but give me a break.
I’m getting heavy tony robbins “pay me money for me to give you questionable advice” vibes.
I'm planting an olive tree next week grown for 12 years in substrate from a cutting from San Antonio's oldest Spanish olive tree brought here by Franciscan friars in the 1740s. 😊
For real?
Damn!
Wonderful ...let us know how the fruit harvest goes. Does olive do well in central Texas?
@@thomask940 Olives love caliche
I've been to Jaen and visited a huge Olive oil co-op. This video is spot on and for a short format its the most informative I have ever seen. Congratulations, great work!
Judging by the overall video quality, this channel should be filthy famous
So happy to see my region of Andalusia portrayed so kindly and well!! 💚🌿
Lucky you.
@@wanderingsoul1189 thank you Sir!
I don’t know how I missed this episode... perhaps the best one yet. I thought I knew about it but I learnt so much!
Here's something the world seems to have forgotten: How wonderful women look, when they dress modestly. High marks to the young presenter, in this documentary. She's very pretty.
Nicely done! So happy you got to meet Paco & Lola. Great people and their oils are outstanding.
This channel is TV level quality. Not typical youtube channel..
TH-cam is better than TV nowadays
Yeah and that's the trouble TH-cam has become the new TV all the stupid repetition off advertising the lies ect ect
I just discovered this channel from a family member. You are very underrated and I appreciate the high levels of effort and research put into each and every vid. I can tell you genuinely enjoy doing this. Reminds me of Safiya Nygaard in some ways (I don’t have much frame of reference, so idk if it’s an entirely accurate connection). I like how unique, genuine, and expressive you are in your explanations! The family member I am referring to said your way of explaining things reminded him of me, which I take as a big compliment! Definitely gonna watch more vids from this channel, its piqued my interest and now I’m following.
I love how she always works 🥺♥️ I really enjoy watching her videos, I can't wait for more 🍀
I love this video, the production quality is great with lovely flamenco music
Now every time I look at my EVOO bottle, I’m going to think about this video and be very grateful. Gd is Great! Tyyy
I love that! Thank you!
Picual olive oil is my favorite! After i bought it by mistake I've never looked back. Its so good. I make bread just for this oil y'all. Nice, trust me!
One of the most amazing Video which I have ever seen. Her body language & her hands together emitting the real meaning of the words than speaking.
Thank you so much!
So was your father Popeye?

I love the passion in her eyes
The passion with which she presents is infectious.
This is probably the best video on TH-cam that I've watched. The informative content is excellent. The filming and sound are top notch and the enthusiasm and the way Nicole talks makes the viewer wanting to watch more of her videos. Magnifico y excelente!
thank you so much for the lovely comment!!
I not only loved this video for it's information, but that I also love the outdoors and like they said, this is a forest.
Age and heat do damage olive oil.
The best olive oil is the most fresh one.
For better quality during storage avoid subjecting to light
oxidation is the main factor that rises the acid levels, and degrades olive oil. heat just accelerates that, and sun light too
Yeah, but short of living in Spain, how do you get a fresh olive oil?
Sparkling host, most be a great exp to taste oil of this quali, straight out of the tube
This channel is out of this world, the content is very educational and informative! And Nicole is Pretty dang beautiful!
😘🥰😍
Lol
@Riccardo Cacchioli @18:36 look and please listen carefully..✌😅
hehe, she said, "deep dive into extra virgin."
18:36 Yesss yesss !😈😻
She is! Love her on this series. She does sometimes give off culty come to Jesus vibes though.
You ought to receive a PhD in olive oil as well as presentation skills that keep us listening with intrest and personally fascinated with the kind of information that you provide. My grandfather had olive groves in sounthern Italy until the early 1900's
Thank you
Grazie!!
Nicole is ready for the big screen...she is a truly professional documentarist
Oh god no, the less the better - she just buggered up an olive doc
Just found this channel, and I am glad I did! Super educational, informative and fun! Had no idea Spain was the world's olive oil capital!
I love her. She's just explaining but it seems she's having an extempo speech 😁
Love the passion of all this and that line about "they aren't just Olive Farmers, they are Stewards of the environment". Yes!
The Production team deserves a lot of credits. The narrator was intact in providing all the information needed. Keep up the good work!
I was just wondering the other day in my head how olive oil was made. Then this video just pops up while I’m scrolling TH-cam. A little freaked out by that, but very nice informative video! I feel like an olive oil expert now, well done!
Your content is worthy enough to be a discovery show.

This video was very much aesthetically pleasing
This is a very well informed presentation. So refreshing to see a quality video based on good research and excellently presented
This made my day. Thank you!
My background is Greek and I've seen Olive groves before but this place is the biggest I've ever seen.
Great documentary
Been waiting for you guys! Welcome back with a stunning video as usual.
Welcome back! (And I say that to myself too!). Thank you
I have had an experience like this where we harvested 200 kilos out of trees in southern france, gave us around 40 liters of the best olive oil we ever had. Top quality stuff, after 7 years we still have around 10 liters left and it’s still amazing!
7 years lol you should discard it, olive oil is good only for 2 years top, after that it gets a lot of acidity
OK, let's see...
Fresh ciabatta 👍
Olive oil 👍
Pinch of salt 👍

I'm a food process engineering student and I love this channel ❤️
The presentation of your material is a totally outstanding. its a feast for my eyes and senses, you are by far the best presenter on TH-cam
This is a work of art. You guys are really taking it up a notch. 😊💕
Thank you so much 😀
I came here to learn from the attractive married woman, plus I was bored and directed here by google youtube. Enjoyed the video during the lockdown.
😊
I have used Italian, Spanish and Greek olive oil in my dishes. Of course, in addition, each country has different regions with different olive oils.
From my experience I can say that for me personally the olive oil from Tuscany is the best.
But good oils also come from the Lake Garda region (Italy) or from Mallorca (Spain).
Is anything in Tuscany not the best? :P
The way she explained the details of olive ...wow...I'm sure I've become hers and Olive's fan from today.🤪.. love from India 😘🇮🇳
I have to say that intro is a work of art. The beauty of the backdrop. Your own beauty, how your animated you are. The sweep of information ….. just remarkable. Very beautiful
*10/10 quality content during lockdown*
*_Very cool_*
Thanks for the amazing video. I am Spanish and although I already know all what you explained, you did it so well and passionately that could not stop watching it! ☺️And yes, Spain is the first olive oil productor, with almost half of the world's production. Unfortunately we are not very good at marketing....congrats again to Nicole and the team for this great video
The way Nicole is building suspense, I hope she doesn't surprise us with cliffhanger in this first episode.😅
she has so much enthusiasm when she speaks, i love it
Nicole, you're a terrific commentator. I love how expressive you are when you get excited about food. ;)
