whoaa did not know about paste modes. always something new to learn with the OT
These kinds of videos are great. They show me just how lazy I'm being with my OT. I like going through the motions especially now to build that muscle memory. I'll legit go back to your old videos to see how to rebuild certain effects. But I definitely want to check out your template. The value in workflow efficiency there is undeniable.

I love watching these videos because I really want to add an octatrack to my productions because I like this type of performance that I feel like I am missing. But then I will have my mouse hover over the buy button and I’ll be like this is way too complicated for me so lets not.

Holy coconut! I never knew about the mix mode, i have to look more in depth into it. It is a bit too fast at times to follow what you’re refering at, especially since i use the OT to loop so i can’t use the same setup (i need Thru machines and have different scenes per banks as i don’t do proper electronic music) but your video style is quite refreshing ;) well done!
I have to notice you are not using the OT properly standalone though.
I didn't want to put tracks into my template only to erase them later. The demonstration still shows the exactly what it would be like if I recorded into the tracks. Thanks for checking it out!

Hey EZBOT! Thanks for sharing this tutorial on your template. May I ask why you switched from static to flex machines in the most recent version of the template?
Great video man! Do you have any tutorial/s that shows how to set up each of these effects? I'd prefer to learn how to set them up myself than use a template, to help me learn more and so that I can be more flexible with setup of scenes.

@@EZBOT_ Yes, I did. I wasn't happy with the MIDI side of things and little things here and there. I did however like the feel & sound of it. I wish there would be an OP-Z with better sample management and elektron build quality. That would be my ideal device.

Sure do!
How do you incorporate regular mixer? I mean you connect other gears into octa directly or from mixer? You said the second but when you are running all the gears live how do you select which Instrument will be sampled if from regular mixer comes everything?
Do you think theres an mk3 on the horizon?
I do not but I think they will release new hardware in the next 1-2 years that might replace the OT. If we are lucky
@@EZBOT_ The original minds behind the OT and silver boxes are no longer in the company. They might release something new but who knows what it would be like
@@llax222 Elektron has told me personally "We hear you and we know you what you want" in regard to the Octatrack. So I would expect it to happen at some point.
@@EZBOT_ Interesting. Yes, I guess it's logical that they'd be working on something new to replace it. But it'll probably be a whole other story ! Seeing how many people complained about its UI and steep learning curve, and the digi line, I'm going to assume they would make it more accessible - like a watered down version -, but again, I might be wrong 😇
