Hi Danny,,,there are people out here that need encouragement, and many lack a good foundation, please consider, doing something daily,to offer strength and support. Your influence is Godly,,,and many people need an anchor!!!!!
You say "WiggleWire" so well and ata the 8:15 mark you said "Grommlets", LOL! Love it! It looks amazing! I love your greenhouse and if I lived on a flat piece of land, I would have one that size!
I really wish I could come spend time with you both for several weeks. Y’all are just a wealth of knowledge and should be teaching classes or something. You could call it “The Danny & Wanda Homestead Camp”. Just good o’ common sense and getting things done. Much respect. 🙏🏻🚜❤️👨🏻🌾👩🏻🌾
I didnt do the wiggle wire just eye hooks and rope. I got my shade cover from growers solution..the aluminum one..had it 2 years..custom made..beautiful! Also made sence to me to put my greenhouse to the eastside of my hickory trees...not under the trees but it really makes a difference to have a natural cooling off in afternoon. That is my best advice..
Well Dadgum it ... I cant stand it no more .. I have planters envy ... I called Dusty at Growers Solutions after I saw this. I got my 20x40 on the way .. Thank you Mr Danny
I grew up on a 759acre farm when I was young I had couple magnificent gardens. Life has taken me far from farming everything in me yerns for gardening watching u does two things, helps me fulfill via your beautiful work but I have to confess constantly to the Lord my covetesness. Love you all

We just got our shade cloth from Growers Solutions. It looks very high quality. We want to get it up on a frame of some kind for this summer. Hopefully by Fall we will be ready for our big greenhouse. Love Growers Solutions. They are really nice folks. Between the Nashville tornado and Covid19 they have had a rough time lately, but they have kept their friendly attitude. We called them the other day to order something and they said they can't ship anything right now. Also, they told us you can't use the discount on shadecloths. But I still love Growers Solutions and would recommend them just as you to do.
I was holding my breath the whole Danny was on top of that ladder. I had to climb to the third step on the step ladder yesterday to close the vents on ours because a storm was moving in. Heights scar me. I thought I would bring that ladder down, I was shaking so bad.
Great video with professional looking results! I've been telling my wife Yvonne that we can put our shade cloth over the plastic but she still thinks it'll be too hot and w wants to take the plastic off.
@@DeepSouthHomestead Yes, I heard you mention that. I just needed to see it in print to convince my wife to give it a shot Thanks! Stay safe and our best to the both of you!
Great looking greenhouse. I have plants in the ground and I put 20'PVC pipes over some of them so I can put a shade cloth when it gets too hot. I'll see if it helps.
Hi guys, the greenhouse is beautiful Thank you for posting the videos. I've been enjoying them and I'm looking forward to what happens next in there. Take care and stay safe.
Even in northern Indiana I use a 30% shade cloth over my greenhouse during the hottest part of the season, mainly July / August. Really is a plant saver! God Bless.
I know this is an older post, but I have a question for you. We live in zone 6B Southeastern Pa. We got 50% shade cloth because our greenhouse is oriented with the entrance end due south with a slope toward the sun. We’ve already gotten 120 degree temps in the greenhouse in April before opening up the sides. Do you think 50% makes sense?
Wow I'm impressed you all's Empire Greenhouse looks fantastic.I call it Empire because of the Empire State Building. It's just a big thing for DSH.That shade cloth will make a huge difference in the heat.Really good job folks soo happy for you two to now be able to grow up a storm of foods for this year and beyond.Have fun inside growing everything.Much Love,Pia&Family.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡..........
The funny thing is I was just talking to the wife we need to do this and here you are thanks Danny your videos have been an inspiration and a lot of help been watching awhile just recently subscribed keep it up brother
That’s beautiful! 🌻😊 we are getting one from growers solution. I hope we can get get it while y’all discount is still available. It’s not as big, but I can’t wait 🌻😊
Hey guys, it appears state of Vermont declared seeds to be "non-essential" as of today, i.e. you can no longer buy them in stores in the state (they say books also). Yes, there is always online, but many online outlets right now are "temporarily" limiting shipments to commercial customers only. Please research for yourself.. but yeah.
Ok so can you include a picture diagram of north south east west diagram and fit a square picture of how you laid out the screen house on paper and include it on another video sometime down the road like on the next corresponding video, please. I'm gonna put one up and of my own design and from materials I get free while junk hunting with my wife. Should be good to have one and grow starting in april here in the michigan area on my 5 acre parcel. We enjoy your reverence for black crow warnings and that people exist that understand each other and dont tease each other and get it done. Hope we get thru all this corona and 5g drill. Stay safe. May God continue your in grace and love. Brother christos.
@@DeepSouthHomestead - I Installed aluminum rain gutters on the walls of my greenhouse the entire length of both sides inside of the greenhouse to grow shallow rooted plants like strawberries and radishes. Works very well with drip tape irrigation.

Your greenhouse really looks good and very sturdy . That shows how much thought and planning you and Wanda put into it .You can't be any more professional than that .
I am really interested in how this works for you and what you can grow in the different seasons. We live in VA now, but will retire in a couple years to our "homestead" in Louisiana (not too far from you). I have been wondering if a greenhouse/high tunnel would be worth it in that area. I had not heard of people putting on a shade cloth before. I learn so much from you in every video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I am also interested in how you figured out what direction to face the greenhouse for the hurricane winds and sun exposure. Did you just figure it out on your own, or is there a resource I could use to figure it out for us? Thanks Again for all you do!!
good job both , i need to put a shade cloth on mine also but i cant put it over the top at least i cant on my own, i bought 100 meters of scaffolding net , any suggestions please good job by the way , be safe guys :)
This looks awesome! I've been wanting to get a greenhouse. Do you heat yours in the winter? I’m in N. GA and sometimes our winter will get pretty cold and then sometime not. So I’ve been concerned with heating one. I would like to grow year round. I’m going to look for more of your greenhouse videos too. Thank y’all!! God bless!!
I am in Middle Ga, and only heat when the temp drops below 28 F for extended time. Most other nights temps will not fall enough to cause damage to plants. But I have never grown orchids. Just common veggies. Cool crop veggies grown in unheated greenhouse excel over those grown outside. They grow faster, bigger, and ready sooner.
What do you grow in the greenhouse in the summer? I have had one for approx 10 years, and have not found a good use for summer production. I am in the deep South also. You don't need a gh to grow cotton.

This is our first year with this type green house. We are experimenting with several plants so we will know.
What % shade cloth do you have on the Hoophouse? (Greenhouse)
We build these beautiful greenhouses to grow in and have the sun come in and then we have to stop the sun with shade cloths , its never ending.

Where did you find those clamps. The ones on the ropes. That is a much have. Great video.stay healthy and safe ya'll.
They are tarpaulin clamps from Amazon.
Check at auto parts stores also. That is where I originally found some and then found them at Lowe's.

Hey Danny what do yall do for pasty butt on new born chicks?

Depends on where you live.
