@@inthedarkwoods2022 The Bible speaks about the soul right away in Genesis. There are two creation accounts that some think are different stories while others believe that the second story is an elaboration of the first. Here I will focus on the second story in Genesis 2:7. It says, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
In transliteration “a living soul” is nephesh hayyah. Hayyah means “living” and nephesh means “soul.” It also refers to personality or desire which are aspects of the soul.
God created Adam’s body first and he came to life once Yahweh breathed the eternal soul into his nostrils. We can see how the soul causes the body to live in 1 Kings 17:21-22. Here Yahweh heard the prayer of Elijah pleading for the “soul” of a child to return after he had died. God answered his prayer and the nephesh came back to the body of the boy and he was alive again.

I rarely see a pilot speeching themselves so well during landing, going over the procedure and verbalizing what they are seeing, their actions, their cautions and etc. That brings such confidence to executing your actions and mentally revising them. It is always the best practice to talk to yourself during harsh times such as this particular min. landing once it gives your mind the opportunity to double check what you are doing, remembering forgotten actions and etc. Well done man.

First time I’ve seen the channel. Just realized that’s my home field, flew out of there for many years before moving away. Good old BTV. Still remember all the numbers, SID, local VORs & Loc. freqs etc.. Yes, I was even flying there way back when we were still having to shoot the ADF approach into MPV runway 35, while timing it on our watch for the miss, and biting our nails while being thrashed about with turbulence the whole way in ... 😉. How I miss real flying when I stop and think about it. Being a pilot has drastically changed during my life’s flying career. We used to have to work hard and study at being a good pilot. There was so much to know, and so much to master.
But once GPS was approved for inflight use, and every plane out there started getting fit up with coupled autopilots, being a pilot started to change. And it’s come to a point now, where the majority of young pilots, can hardly fly the aircraft. But, they can push buttons and program a shiny glass panel avionics display, which is what is doing all the actual flying, navigating, and everything else the plane does now days.
Yep, we gained a few advantages over my career. But, we’ve lost a lot more about flying, than we’ve gained. The main thing being, real pilots.
Btw, I’m not talking about you in this video. Just my experience over 40 years of flying, and what I see with most young pilots who fly with me nowadays. To them, flying is all about the avionics now. The love of the flying and handling the aircraft itself, is no more. Being a good pilot, flying single pilot IFR used to be a heavy workload in the cockpit. So, we had to be excellent pilots to stay proficient. We had to constantly work at it. We had to multitask big time, so we had to be able to hand fly the plane so well, it was second nature to us. This is no longer the case. Many pilots now, rush to engage the autopilot when they get in trouble! since most cannot multitask and also fly the aircraft anymore. When what they should be doing when in trouble, is instead turning it off, and as pilot in command, take charge off flying the aircraft by hand.
Like I said, times change. We used to be an adventurous bunch, mostly fearless guys who loved difficult challenges. We’ve become a group of button pushing computer gamer types, who prefer fancy avionics packages over the actual aircraft itself. Avionics that do all the actual flying for us while we sit, pushing buttons and programming, while watching the screens..🙄 Terrible...
. Most pilots have no feel of the aircraft anymore. Avionics fly the aircraft and us in it, instead of us, the pilots flying IT! Like we always did prior.
Sad but true..... And that my friends, is how the GPS changed and essentially ruined what being a pilot always meant to us pilots.
PS.... That was a beautiful landing there friend... 😉

Nice job on reviewing the checklists. A lot of uprates to turbine rating seem to 'forget' the lists since they're now in turbines, and ready for that corporate gig. You lend a very nice view to what is truly a professional going through the lists, and on the radio. Nice work. Would be nice if you could be a part of the CFII's that brush over the importance of checklists, and rely mostly on the software. As was said to me many years ago, keep your landings equal to your take-offs! :-)

So fun to watch this. -- QUESTION -- What would have happened if you did not turn off the autopilot as you landed? Would it get you down to the runway? If not, how close would it get you and what then would happen?

Don't know a thing about flying and fly "Air Ativan" due to fear of flying. Great video, love your explanations of everything and clearly you have skills. New sub!!

Fun flight Max. One thing that always get me is a multi million dollar Jet without a windshield wiper for taxi, specially taxing at night.

I like how you can see how the wind had control when he came out of the clouds but then he hopped in the zone and aced the landing like a boss

Keeping in mind every pilot is different and provide a different view of how they fly a particular plane. But I have to say, yours is quick, detailed informative, as you're doing it, and witty as hell. You've earned a new subscriber. Looking forward to the content. And great landing Rocket Man!

Another great video to start 2021! Always informative and entertaining. It's always amazing on how quickly that Citation goes from dead stop to rotate speed. And 5,000 per minute climb rate. Oh yeah! It's rocket time! Hope you and your family have a great 2021, look forward to sharing your adventures! And now it's time to put some $$ into your families' charities - will wear proudly!

Another great video Max with some useful narration as well. Interesting landing coming through the soup, seems to be like that every time I’ve visited NY.
Looking forward to the next one, stay safe.

Hi Max, just another outstanding video again!!! If I have any regrets in my life, its learning how to fly in my younger years. So I live the flying life thru you and enjoy everything above it. Keep it going. Thanks again Max, stay safe.

I would love to sit right seat just for observation of procedures. I sat right in several flights with my uncle in a first Gen citation when I was younger.
