I’m on my fourth or fifth attempt at moving from old to new Outlook and I’m still finding it harder to use, missing or hiding useful features away and honestly a bit of a buggy mess. My latest is I’ll open an email, start replying and the original email which should be below my reply and that, obviously I may want to keep referring to while writing my reply suddenly disappears! It is so hard to believe Microsoft have been working on this for so long!

Hi! Thanks for engaging with our video. I can relate to your frustration, in particular, the "missing" draft replies/forwards. I suggest you look into opening new messages/replies/forwards in a PopOut Window. You can find this setting demonstrated at 23:49 in the video. It will be worth while keeping an eye on the New Outlook roadmap where fixes/features are announced, along with an estimated date for rollout. The link to the roadmap is: www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Outlook%2CIn%20development

The original message disappearing while I was typing replies was in the popout window. I’m an IT Manager and, while I know a few people in my company have made the switch, I know more who have tried it, hated it and switched back. I cannot recommend it to anyone as yet. We won’t have a choice eventually, of course, but Microsoft have much to do first.
