    Important to note about the HC Change: Queued Heroics don't have a lockout, Heroics you walk in do. They just don't want you to spam.

    They're pretty out of touch as far as tank/healer trinkets go...
    To my memory as a M+ player, my FAVORITE tanking trinkets were:
    Lingering Psychic Shell. big shield, short CD.
    Blood-Splattered Scale. big shield, moderate damage, moderate CD
    Fyrakk's Tainted Rageheart. big shield, mediocre damage, moderate CD
    Vita-Charged Titanshard. High RPPM haste proc.
    Enduring Dreadplate. Strong defensive that functions Ignore Pain-ish, strong damage, moderate CD
    Whatever that primary stat/vers stat stick was from BRH last season that occasionally silenced enemies.
    my FAVORITE healing trinkets are:
    Vita-Charged Titanshard. High RPPM haste proc.
    Echoing Tyrstone. auto-targetting triage heal + small haste proc. on-use, but easy to use. don't have to micromanage during heavy healing moments.
    Coagulated Genesaur Blood. relatively high-uptime crit buff.
    TL;DR: Tanking and healing already has enough on their plates that stuff like Smoldering Seedling management or Glyph of Ursine Vengeance min-maxing is just not worth playing around. There's a reason that proc based/passive trinkets are usually the go to, followed shortly by on-use stat trinkets. Nearly no-one would use off-role trinkets if their designated role trinkets didn't SUCK in comparison. View the trinkets for Shadowlands and BFA. or even DF season 1.

      that Seedling trinket on my mistweaver monk is insanely fun. its not only absurdly powerful but the minigame of summoning the little dude and healing him to heal the whole party was fun and rewarding. for literally every other healing spec, that trinket is probably not worth it im sure but it synergizes with MW flawlessly and is insanely fun to use.

      @@Austin_Wynters I don't think you understand how the seedling works if you're just barely trying to keep it alive. It turns all ST healing into AOE healing. The more healing you pump into it the better.

    Was actually having a lot of fun this season healing - the reason why is i commited to making the highest dps healer i could instead of pushing IO. Originally started as MW and moved over to Resto D. This change would hit me really hard. Let players play how they want - sure my resto D healing is shit due to full crit/ vers build but hey look at my damage.

    I want nothing from Blizzard but an update to Stormbringer that changes all the spells to be lightning-y (as an optional talent), the non-lightning spells stand out like a sore thumb right now.

    that trinket change is wrong direction for healers. blizzard doesnt know how to make healer role interesting and has done nothing to correct damage profiles to make healing role better. healers will wear healer trinkets if there a reason to actually need the healing.
    blizzard needs to rebalance monster damage profiles and restore attrition type healing.

      Big agree about the changes they need to make. If they did that then dps trinkets wouldnt need to be nerfed for them because they wouldnt Be able to afford to take them since theyd need to heal way more

    The problem with tank/healer trinkets is that you don’t always need extra survivability or extra healing. You can always use extra damage. As a tank if you aren’t dying in the content you’re running, you don’t need more defensive value from trinkets. As a healer if you aren’t keeping people up just fine in your content, you don’t need healing help from trinkets. You can always help kill things faster, you can’t help keeping people more alive if they aren’t dying to begin with.

      Not to mention the best trinkets for keeping alive as a healer ARE the ones people are using, ward from Neltharion for example is very good, throughput trinkets are mostly useless except in fringe cases.
      99.9% of how you keep people alive is if you play correctly, not due to having an extra trinket that helps with healing. Again unless it's those trinkets that people actually use.
      If they buff healer and maybe even tank damage to compensate then this change is completely fine tbh otherwise it's clueless change

    The problem I see with the tank and healer trinkets. I am highly decent at blood. I know my cooldowns and defensives. I don't need a trinket that gives me another defensive. I need the DPS trinket so my damage isn't absolute garbage because they don't properly balance my spec. I get it with the healing and absorbs and DR that I can do I shouldn't be pumping out a million DPS. Having said that it would be nice to see at least some high numbers while not being the bottom of the barrel for EVERYTHING

    I heard you say that normal dungeons occupy the space that heroic dungeons used to. I don't think that's what they said in the blue post when they made the dungeon update. I thought I remember them saying old heroic dungeon difficulty is just gone and that normal remains normal.

    One way they could easily fix the tanks wearing dps trinkets issue is by adding a nerfed form of tank vengeance back in. Tanks would equip purely defensive trinkets more often if it gave them some dps back in the form of being able to survive more damage and then deal more damage with vengeance. It would be similar to how dps decide between trinkets, you could use a flat damage trinket, but a trinket that gives you a % increase of damage (stats for dps and defensive value for tanks) could outperform a flat damage trinket if used correctly. That would open up the landscape for tank trinket design as well, since not every half decent tank trinket would have to have some damage proc attached to it. Looking at the tank trinkets from the last few expansions, the vast majority are either cheat death trinkets, on use absorbs/dr, or so laughably bad they would never have been used. Having 2 valid archetypes for tank trinkets sucks, and it can't really be fixed without a change to the way tanks interact with trinkets as a whole.

      They can't tune around having defensive trinkets because it would make them required to do content. This change would just result in tanks getting more damage due to vengance and still using dps trinkets.

      in WoD there was a tank stat on trinkets that was called bonus armor that gave you armor and attack power.

    Your crest take is awful, it’s fine how it is. Puts way more people in the 6-8 M+ pool. I’m not stepping into those anymore now

    I could definitely see Earthen DK coming in a later patch, if perhaps they want to add a little questline or some NPCs to explain it away. Honestly it seems you'd just need 1 or 2 "Ebon Recruiter" NPCs or whatever and it's done, right?

    Timing a key or killing a raid boss shoukd give you enough crests to do an upgrade. And perhaps more for doing higher level keys and later bosses

    And here i was stuck with a 4/4 Myth STR/VERS tank stat stick all of season 3 on my ret pally because it simmed better than any dps trinket. Ran it in +24 keys.

    I think you nailed it on Tank trinkets. The real issue is that tank trinkets are plain bad. Wrong solution to a problem.

    First off, the Beta access thing has been an issue for many expacs at this point and the workaround has been the same the whole time. It's super dumb now they sell them directly and charge you immediately, but not new.
    The crest changes for Wyrms make no sense at for the S4 gear demarcations. Unless they are reverting back to the previous setup, you will be getting crests for gear lower iLvl than what you get from the dungeon.

    I'm ok with the trinket change if they make so tank/healer trinkets have higher priority to be won by the players playing that actual role. If you can go a full season never getting your bis tank trinket because you lose the roll to dps players every time it drops

      Its already is like this for the real Tank trinkets. If you are playing as Dps in the raid and roll need you only roll "offroll" if the tank is rolling need too he always wins even with the lower roll. But this doesnt work like this for the "tank" trinkets Dps get in their lootpool too.

      @@NyanEditzz no, if you set your role to tank, even if you're playing DPS currently, you can main roll on them. I lost 9 rolls on the Fyrakk trinket while playing as a tank in S3 to people playing DPS on the same kill

What youre playing should be what you can get stuff for (in terms of priority) and obv the bonus of being in a guild would be that you could still easily trade stuff around but for pugs it needs to be changed

    For me the biggest Problem with Tank and Heal trinkets is the DMG Pattern etc. of the content. Like, in low keys there is no dmg at all, tanks dont need an extra Shield trinket, bc you dont die anyway, in the Higher keys, if you make a mistike, you are dead anyway and the trinket wont help, thats why he Cheat Death trikets always where nice.

    Fantastic crest change. I’ve never understood why I have to farm my base set of gear in 7s and above, then have to backtrack to small keys to upgrade it. Made zero sense. Also, I swear the players that you run into in low keys makes the dungeons harder than world first keys.

    The trinket nerf for tanks and heals makes me genuinely want to perma role dps from a healer main. Contributing large dps as a healer is fun especially when you make a difference to priority mobs. 😩😩😩😩😩 fking hell

    I swear lol if youre 520 ilvl and still sitting on 4-5 506 pieces because of wyrms you should just be able to skip that tier. Wyrms only go up to 515 anyway

    The crest changes are interesting. A lot of higher geared players go in reverse to farm lower keys for Wyrm's to upgrade heroic track gear currently. Then this forces out players who actually need rating and/or gear from those lower keys. Probably a healthy change. Any word on the item levels and track of gear that drops from these keys? Curious to see when heroic track gear starts dropping. Whether it is still a +7 and higher as it is now, or brought in line with the new Gilded (aspects) crests dropping from a +9.

    Didn't they already try this tank and healer trinket nerf in a previous expansion, then get rid of it? Why are we going backwards?
    And their reasoning behind why is so disingenuous, too.
    "too much of a tank's damage was coming from external effects", but I don't know anyone who actually cares about that. This change feels like it's only there so tanks/healers will actually take tank/healing trinkets since "If all trinkets are bad, might as well take this one since I won't be competing with DPS for it."
    It make giving your tanks and healers DPS trinkets objectively the wrong choice since the trinkets are just worse on them then they are on your DPS. it's a ham-fisted way to make somebody take the bad trinkets they keep making instead of just making tank/healing trinkets not terrible.

    blizzard mentality on the trinket change is so f-ing bad and shows how hard it its for them to learn.
    if tank/healer trinkets were actually interesting, they would be much more used by these roles. but imagine doing that if you can just semi prohibit them from using dps trinkets xd

      It makes maintenance keys way more annoying. It makes pushing to that tier slightly harder. It doesnt address the problem that m+ remains the easiest and most overpowered way of getting geared up to the point where theres no reason to raid or do other content very much espeically post tier acquisition...
      Its less about the change theyre making and more about the changes they didnt make

      It's an issue of both trinkets being bad and healers having way too much throughput and not balanced damage. Some healer specs can't do any damage without trinket or special effects. As a mistweaver it represents 30-50% of my dps it's just ridiculous. Meanwhile holy priest and druids are allowed to do as much damage as dps.... Ok sure lmao

My favorite thing about dragonflight is that healer trinkets were so bad (other than pre-nerf Rashok's) that a trinket from Timewalking Ulduar (spark of hope) has been the BIS trinket for resto druid raiding every season. I have even seen people running both that trinket and the mana one from black temple instead of any current tier healer trinkets.
      Granted this is also a statement to just how dumb the design of resto druid mana management was this expansion.

      M0 has a weekly lockout. Heroic is a daily. They obviously don’t want people grinding things out like crazy, so given the squished key levels this is a good way of slowing down loot.

      I’m actually concerned that we’re gonna be missing the mythic-only mechanics unless those are being shifted or just dropped. Running the dungeons in week one and two with some casual friends of mine, in their full form while undergeared, was some of the most fun we have every few years
