I appreciate this insight! When replacing my s2000 i considered 8j ttrs, b9 s4, and fk8 ctr among others. After driving 8j and fk8 i ruled out all three for most of the reasons listed here. They are fantastic daily drivers but i was looking for a toy that could pass as a daily not a daily that could pass as a toy. I think even my s550 was a little too tame of a choice if im honest. Excited to see what you do with the platform!
It's been my daily for a while. Dynamic steering, rear sport diff, dynamic suspension, Prestige package. it's a great, overall vehicle. Edit: Every car out there, you get used to after a while. Take the Subaru STI for example. It's a peppy car, but cheap plastics and a noisy cabin also gets old pretty fast. Although we happen to own IT as well. It's what I like to drive when I want to row my own gears. 1000 HP Mustang? that's more for the young crowd, or for people whom want to impress/showoff on social media. Can't do anything with it legally on the highway.
My last audi was a B8 '11 S4. Back with a B9.5 S4. I went on a stint of trying a Mercedes, three acuras, and a Lexus after only having Audis previously. IMO the best do everything for a adult, & the lowest delta between the highest end model and the lower end. Same as with my B8, A 3 series or C class feels like you got the cheaper model. A S4/5 just feels like you got the smaller one, There is little/no build quality difference.
I bought mine brand new and did European delivery, maxed out at 155mph on the autobahn, cruised at 100mph easily and did 9 laps around the Nordschleife.. it is more than capable to be fun completely stock. But since getting it here in the states I feel like I’m having to hold it back all the time because of the crappy road and low speed limits.
lol, zero talk of suspension mods which are definitely going to make a bigger difference on the b9. And if you think the brakes are good... I don't know what to tell you.
I am debating between an audi s4 and a mi340… audi has the carbon build up issue but has an amazing audio system but bmw has a mediocre sound system idk which to pick
Don't look at it like that. I've just bought the B9 S4 and it's a beautiful car. Keep it serviced at a specialist and you won't have any dramas. Drive it like you're supposed to and you won't get carbon build up. I've always been a BMW man and never thought of buying an Audi. Best thing I've ever owned. I love it.

Do this with an SQ5 B9 I’ve had mine for 7 months still tons of fun stock

I got suspension mods on the way
@@cameronalfordbonus I think you’ll find they make a bigger difference than the engine mods, especially the rear sway bar
Brakes are quite good on these stock, obviously not crazy but good
@@sawano9321 I own a b9 s5 and it doesn’t take long before the brakes start cooking
@@Anon.G s5s are much heavier, but youre also not supposed to cook them lol, its more of a luxury daily than a sports car
weird question, how well would someone my height (6'1) fit in this cabin?
Just fine. I'm 6'2 and fit easily
6’4 very long legs I fit fine. 6’1 is not very different from average height, you’ll fit in any car
Me personally man I’m in the market right now for a older one and I’m coming from a Kia suv 150hp maybe to 333 witch for me proably will be insane
