Wow, these are beautiful Michelle! You are so clever dropping the alcohol inks to simulate the ocean. The emerald ocean glitter is to die for gorgeous!
Great segment! Your idea for the alcohol drop was a success; that emerald ocean glitter really pumped up the ocean theme for the coasters; and, those pendants - wow!
Love the coasters. The 3D effect from the inlays is cool. Those pendants! So gorgeous. The new glitter is stunning❤. You won’t be able to keep that in stock.
Very good info, keep in mind it also has to do with the mold itself. Some of the molds I have used are thin outer edges, like for example, a candle mold with thin edges. You can usually use regular resin for those. I also think my skull head mold, it’s well made, I have poured one solid pour in that, but if the mold seems flimsy, the resin will get extremely hot and damage your mold.
Glitter I have a pretty good idea. 😂turned out cool. I was thinking you were going to swirl them like when doing a Petrie. Think my next order is going to be glitter.😅 I love that glitter. The final coasters are gorgeous 😍
I have the mixer and it’s not hard to clean up. I find 5-6 spinning times works best also let it spin in the same cup so not to waste resin. The tool for cleaning it isn’t very good. Just pick it off after it’s dry.
If it's silicone no matter for baking or whatever else you may come across it can be used gor resin as long as it's silicone I've used ice cube tray chocolate molds and it's all been perfect
What a great idea! I've been looking for something different to do. I need inlays now😊 What do you use to make the imprints in the silicone? Are they just random items you find at the craft store? 🤔 God bless you and your husband 🙏 ❤
Cleaning always such a hassle I Wonder if you could fill up the jar with alcohol and swirl it clean then a quike wipe maybe even save the alcohol for other cleaning just an idea ! ??
So, I don't know if you tried it, but do you think you can keep a mixer cup filled with alcohol, and keep "mixing" the paddles in there to clean them? How many times can you use alcohol to keep cleaning? I just use alcohol wipes, so I don't know about liquid alcohol.
I took them out as soon as it was cured. The chameleon powders that I brushed them with prior to pouring the resin is what you see left in the mold after I pulled them out.
Looks like ocean floor.great job...God bless

Fun ocean coasters, since you’re in Florida, I bet those would sell well to all your neighbors 😀
They probably would but I don't really sell my stuff in the area, just don't have time to do any kind of craft shows or anything like that.
Beautiful michelle 🌊🐚🌊

Suggestion: put inlay on sticky transfer paper to paint on powder. Then carefully pick up with tweezers to put into mold
Really cool technique
Love your videos beautiful may I say that let's resin makes the best deep mold very strong
omg they're gorgeous!!❤
Very nice
these lovelies could also be used to hang in the bathroom for cute decor ❤
Great idea!!
I’m like you Michelle, I don’t like cleaning resin out of cups 🤣🤣🤣
Right!!

Oh WOW!! These are beautiful Michelle. ❤ Where did you buy the Jewelry findings??
Temu

Good to know!
If it's silicone no matter for baking or whatever else you may come across it can be used gor resin as long as it's silicone I've used ice cube tray chocolate molds and it's all been perfect
I think k I would use one of the cup just for cleaning and put alcohol in it to clean it with then wipe dry ro make sure resins off
❤😊
What a great idea! I've been looking for something different to do. I need inlays now😊
What do you use to make the imprints in the silicone? Are they just random items you find at the craft store? 🤔 God bless you and your husband 🙏 ❤
I use different molds I find in various places that are shallow.
Cleaning always such a hassle I Wonder if you could fill up the jar with alcohol and swirl it clean then a quike wipe maybe even save the alcohol for other cleaning just an idea ! ??
I don't see why not?
So, I don't know if you tried it, but do you think you can keep a mixer cup filled with alcohol, and keep "mixing" the paddles in there to clean them? How many times can you use alcohol to keep cleaning? I just use alcohol wipes, so I don't know about liquid alcohol.
I haven't tried that but I don't see why it wouldn't work
I'm confused I thought the silicone inlays had to be taken but it looks like you left them in
I took them out as soon as it was cured. The chameleon powders that I brushed them with prior to pouring the resin is what you see left in the mold after I pulled them out.
Do you mean we are supposed to use something other than our pants for cleaning off our brushes from mica powder? LOL!
bahahhahahahha
gorgeous
Absolutely beautiful😊
