Nice save. I kept thinking, “No. Go put your gloves on.”:) But look how you recovered because you refused to give up. A lot of lessons learned. It’s so pretty. Sherry Moulton is so entertaining to watch and I loved her jar video too. Maybe you sharing will push her to 100k.
I think the turtle would have been so pretty because it matched the glitter, but it turned out very pretty
When I first started working with resin, I used Polyurethane Resin because it cured in 10 minutes. Back then if I wanted a white back round, this was perfect. And like you said, when it cures it's rock hard! Never had to worry about it getting hot and losing it's shape. I have that mold, I put dried flowers around the jar and flower on top of the lid with clear resin, it is so pretty!
Oh, poor Don. He's gonna holographic glitter forever!

Temu has so so many jar lid toppers, or brooches, very very cheap. And so many to choose from. I know a lot of folks don’t want to go through China for items, but, when we can find a bargain, I’m all for it.

This is STUNNING!!! I'm having creation envy! I'm normally at my table daily, but we moved in September and have been remodeling since we got here. So I've have not been able to spend my normal times out there. About a month out now and can get back to spending my days in my studio! I will live vicariously through you!

You also could have used UV resin and mixed in the holographic powder, applied it with a brush and cure

I love my pudding jar mold! I take my leftover resin and put it into my little heart chocolate mold and glue the heart to the top.

Have you ever done the mushroom jar? I think that's when I first got my glitters. They went in the spots of the mushroom. Then, I fill the lids with flowers. I eco pour my base then. They are top sellers for me.

Turned out great! I love it when you think on your feet, lol. I got some poly for Christmas and made some simple coasters to judge how fast it works. Like you said, fast, lol. I might try a jar myself. I usually find myself going behind your videos with my go at it.
Beautiful! I always learn something from watching your videos. I also love that things don't always go as planned, but you have a solution to fix the problem. It's nice to know that even experts like yourself have boo boos and I should expect I will do the same. I'm too much a perfectionist 😀.
