My cousin first played this song for me when I was vacationing up in Toronto, Canada. Here it is many years later and it STILL brings tears to my eyes. What a great classic and standard for the musical ages. The woman Debbie, her voice is phenominal!!!!
Mr. Al Jarreau, u are still as you were 35 years ago. thanks for the music. For me, ur way has never been equalled till this day on jazz vocals. congrats and take care!...phillipines.
this is a real treasure i am a big al jarreau fan i had just graduated high school when this song came out on the album or cd bob james and david sanborn maputo
i am too young for this Music...but damn....this number brings memories too, miss my Old man..he's a huge Al Jerreau fan, but hey will be going home soon....Mzansi here I come, pity I will mic the WC :(
David Sanborn used to play his jazz here in the desert. But since he abdandoned us .. the jazz just dried up here . Need to come back and sing somethin with him. bring the jazz back to the desert!
I never heard of Debbie Davis here in the USA, is she famous in Europe? This woman is awesome & quite beautiful, & what a great version they did doing a duet. Fabulous together!
What can one say about Mr Perfection ? My favorite tune, sung by my favorite singer!! That's too much for such a warm day as today in Ipanema, Rio! Ty dvripper...great job recording it live! Btw, love to sing it myself! ;-)
yuck, this is awful! I love AJ but....where is the song? the song gets completely lost in all the shrubbery and shrieking and gymnastics and vocal show.....just SING it, simply and sweetly. YUCK!!! Singer should never outshine song, it should be a partnership, a confluence. Streisand brutalizes it too. I'm glad I'm not the composer and having to hear these mutations.
In the past 10 years, something is bringing me back to this song again and again. This song is just so increddibly beautiful. ♥
Published on my birthday. I wanna cry. Thank you Lord🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
