    I loved your review. Thank you so much for it. The explanation of the hot water reservoir is exactly what I wanted to know regarding this model specifically. I thought it was really funny when you said going to the old ways of cleaning is barbaric. This is really an amazing product.

    How do you clean hard-water buildup out of the wand? It doesn't spray anymore, water just dribbles down the side. Toto product support does not offer any help accept $175 mail-in fix. That doesn't seem reasonable for a hard water buildup!

      We have not had that problem with any of ours. But I would start the wand, then unplug which should freeze it extended. Then use one of the calcium buildup chemicals you can get at the hardware store. That should work. Let us know!

    The automatic opening feature can be turned off if you look in the manual

    Hi, thanks for the info, I have a question. How long does it take to warm up a new tank of the warm water?

    • @pocketbear
      @pocketbear  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Malinee Channel I am not really sure the first time. But after a power outage it has been just a minute or two. Then it stays warm after indefinitely.

    Thank you. I have tried a baggie full of vinegar surrounding the wand for 2 hours. I also scrubbed the holes with an old toothbrush. There is no improvement. Water is not spraying out. Do you think I should disengage the water inlet and fill it with vinegar or other decalcifier? I would let it sit for a few hours. I would rather throw the thing out then pay Toto $175.

      No I would try the same baggie trick but with one of the heavier duty calcium removers from the hardware store like CLR. It should work.

      Thanks I will try CLR. I'll let you know how it goes.

    I can’t find your review of the other higher end models.

    You mentioned that it defaults to soft rear cleaning, how do you switch it to regular rear cleansing if needed? Thanks

    • @pocketbear
      @pocketbear  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you can change defaults on the rear screen settings screen. But I have never tried that. We just use the front buttons and change with the side button right away.

    So hey, I'm about wrapped up with a one month trip to Japan and it's suffice to say that my life has been changed after experiencing the wonders of washlets.
    What one do you suggest for a larger individual/adults, since you haven't done a review on those ones yet? (since this is a newer video in the first place)

    • @pocketbear
      @pocketbear  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Magnakor yes, Toto S350e is better for large people. I will do a review on it in the next few days. The e stands for the elongated version but I think they sell a round version as well. So depends on shape of your seat.

    What is the model that you have that is better than this one ?

  • @lesley7178

    Why does it have a bad smell when sitting on the seat even when you just use it to go number 1

      Is it possible that the filter needs to be changed?

    "Electrified water" doesn't sound that safe...might get your Toto shocked. Something like "delivered electronically" or just "the darn thing sprays water on your dirty bits" does it.

    • @MikeTrieu
      @MikeTrieu 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's "electrolyzed water", but suffice it to say the technology uses electricity to split regular tap water into a mild bleach solution to sanitize the bowl without any additional chemical cleaners. It's a rather elegant solution, I must admit.

    Once u do it, ‘manual’ toilets are primitive! At work I always feel barbaric.

    its seems a little bit loud?

    • @pocketbear
      @pocketbear  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jean-Philippe Pelchat yes, it’s about the level of a bathroom fan. It’s the internal fan taking odor away. So if you have a bathroom fan you will no longer need it.

    • @jean-philippepelchat4240
      @jean-philippepelchat4240 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adam Borovkoff ok cool because it looked a bit annoying in the mittle of the night when u go to the bathroom ... so you’re telling me u can desactivate this option?

    • @pocketbear
      @pocketbear  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jean-Philippe Pelchat no, sorry I don’t think so. I meant you could choose not to use your bathroom fan, because the Washlet will do it for you, so you don’t get double noise. It doesn’t bother us really because it is a little less loud than a typical bathroom fan.
