I love siding The end of anubis. It's a 2500 atk only one tribute necrovalley. Its a 6 stars so it only need one tribute, it stop chaos special summon, magician of faith, any reborn, sea serpent, Night Assailant discard, etc... and the 2500 atk beat most 1 tribute monsters like him; jinzo, monarchs, etc... Cons: 1) 0 def, so book of moon or tsukiyomi are his enemies 2) If your deck uses the cards that this stop, maybe it´s not the best idea to side it
Jinzo/Royal Decree can both put in work from the side deck Compulsory Evacution Device is a card that I've been high on for the side deck because of how good it can be vs Goat/Chaos control and random rough decks like Library FTK or Empty Jar. Bouncing TER back and not lossing a monster to its effect is amazing and Chaining CED to a creature swap is always nice. Brain Control has its nice uses espically when paired with tribute monster that you're bringing in from the side deck like Mobius and Jinzo or just in Aggro mirror matches or vs decks using Solemns and bruning their LP low. Turbo players like to protect their BLS with a set RB/MST to destroy a snatch steal but with brain control they can't stop you from taking their BLS with those cards.
Better list than usual; I think cards like decree, scapegoat, and metamorphosis, etc. deserve some honorable mention these days, but for the most part this is accurate for 2024 meta
JDZ, ever considered doing a history of GOAT series? Appreciate it’d be a big undertaking, but could be really interesting. a lot of people have done videos on the 2005 format itself, but like how did it endure? How has it changed over nearly 20 years. Just an idea

I personally started to side duo. Reason being that if I’m playing against meta, duo when they have thunder dragons, sinister, night assailsnt, etc i find myself wishing I has something else. But that’s just me
I usually clap chaos turbo. I play warrior, but my variation. 8 traps (2 dust tornado, 2 Dustshoot, big 4). I main 3 kycoo, Zaborg, gk spy, MoF, serp, sangan. A warrior returning alive. Catches many off guard. They hit bls with duo and think he’s gone. Edit: my point is that I main the cards most people side vs chaos turbo. That opens my side for other things.
From what I read Kinetic Soldier was a mistranslation and was renamed to Cipher Soldier to be part of the Cipher Archetype. Kinetic sounded cooler but better this than seeing the Frog The Jam treatment or Summoned Skull getting an effect as a vanilla
Turbo can suck it, I ate that shit alive last week in the qualifier. With my Chain Drain Aggro deck, Ive got another new deck project to unleash on the qualifier this week as long as my schedule holds I should make it, wish i was able to get up to Detroit to show out.
Ruling question if anyone would like the answer: opponent Normal Summons Bazoo. Uses Bazoo effect, banishes two monsters to gain 600 ATK. I chain Ring of Destruction. I took 1600 for damage but he took 2200. He was comparing it to me chaining Ring to Tribe, saying that I assumed it would negate the effect. I know it wouldn’t do that but Bazoo wouldn’t gain the 600 ATK because it wouldn’t be on field at resolution plus we would’ve taken the burn damage already.
Maybe because your deck would probably need to be adapted to it. The idea is to run cards that supplement your deck, not make a deck just to run certain cards
@@GoatFormatIt’s an alright monster if you use it right. You should summon Wombat before you activate s/t removal so that if you hit a burn trap it won’t do anything. Also if you play Call of the Haunted, chaining that to a burn effect to summon Wombat.

I also prefer smashing ground over saku armor. People can see a sak armor coming, smashing ground can come as a snipe
One of my favorites for side is Airknight Parshath, against flips decks or decks scapegoat is nice

One card that I love to side that people never see coming is Divine Wrath

You’re correct. If you chain ring to it’s effect, both take 1600.
