Live action on the carb rebuild sounds good. I’m currently doing some maintenance on the carb on my Minor and it’s clear there are some gaps in my knowledge!
Dear FatFrier, the elctrician´s tape around the power leads is not a long-lasting solution. esp. in summer the glue on it tends to loose strength. A long lasting solution would be the use of heat shrink tubing.
re interior light switch get a philips screwdriver push down on the plunger which means u can then unscrew it. i have replaced both mine so i know this is how you do it lol
A dire warning on the folly with regard to substandard, (crap) parts. I've got one of these flippin things in my traveller. Not fitted by me., I hasten to add. Can anyone recommend a good substitute? Kind regards, Thumbs up.👍 and subscribed.👍

Good point, I'm replacing the loom this summer so til then I'll use heat shrink on the wires. Thank you!

Apparently you can swap in an interior light from an MGB but thats a rumour, or if you scour ebay you might find an original type light like this
