Ashley & Luke have known each other their whole lives, LITERALLY, their whole lives! Their parents met in a young marrieds class at age 22 and have remained best friends ever since! When Ashley first reached out to us she said “Every memory growing up has Luke in it--- birthday parties, awkward middle school stages…high school, college graduation, and adulthood, he has been there. We even have footage of our siblings planning a 'fake wedding' where we got married.” It wasn't till 3 years ago Ashley & Luke began to take their relationship to the next step. We're so excited to finally share their incredible wedding day featuring some vintage footage they generously shared with us. Enjoy this larger than life love story.

I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most platonic best friends remain friends until death.
I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse. Also, you are more likely be much more closer to someone who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a romantic partner or spouse.
People tend to fight with their partner or spouse a lot more than they do with a platonic best friend, and you never fight with your best friend the way you fight with your partner or spouse. Partners and spouses are just temporary. If you break up or divorce them, it's hard to go back to them. With your platonic best friend, you're going to make things work, because they are your best friend, they are your go to partner. It's always easier to make amends with them than it is with a romantic partner or spouse.

My cousin has this same exact story. Identical and now they are blessed with 5 kids. Been best friends since they were 5 and were raised in the church. I wish I'd let God choose for me, like they did. They knew when they were kids they would marry. They are so blessed and I loved how the two families prayed together.

THIS is when "I got to marry my best friend" is actually legit - because they were genuine best friends before dating.
This happened to me. I was friends, then best friends with this guy (for 2 years). But that all didn´t seem enough so we "adopted" each other as sort of siblings?
Still, it didn´t feel right. One day it clicked.
We´ve been married for 7 years and are expecting our second child :)

I loved this story! Although not from birth, my husband and I were best friends since age 12. This month we celebrate our 50th anniversary. We married young, but for us we knew.💞 Someone asked, "What's the secret?" I always say it takes two good forgivers. My husband always adds, "not necessarily at the same time"☺️

GOD IS THE BEST MATCHMAKER! He gave me my husband who was born and raised in Germany and I was born in Panama then raised in the USA where we met and married in our early 20's and now we have been married for 27 years and been missionaries in Panama for 20! God is good!

This reminds me of me and my Husband💕 We were Born 3 weeks apart,( literally new eachother since birth) Grew up best friends, Fell in Love, got married and now have 5 Beautiful Children!! Our Mothers were best friends, our parents went to Church together, my Mom and his Dad went to highschool together, our uncles pastored together and Now here we are!!!

I’ve known my husband my whole life. Our age difference in childhood kept him as the “older boy” who I secretly loved, but I always knew one day he’d love me back. We lost touch for some time but reconnected in our twenties. Almost 10 years and 3 kids later, he’s still the one.

That reminds me of my story. My husband is fifteen years older than me. His dad married my parents. He left for several years and when he came back I was almost grown. He was the kind of man I admired and hoped to marry. We were married when I was eighteen and now, fourteen years and seven children later, we are still happy together. God has been the One to keep us together through thick and thin.

Very rare story in life, so touching like everlasting love.
My husband and I first saw each other as children, at a scotch broom festival. Every year the scotch broom would bloom there would be a parade. I borrowed a gorilla mask from a family friend, and was walking in the parade, and someone said to me, "Look another gorilla!" A boy on a bicycle rode by me and said, "Oh, you are a gorilla too!" and then he kept going and I never saw his face. Years later I met him at a HS dance. His family went from having a weekend cabin where I lived, to living there full time. We saw each other and started to dance. He told me, his name was "Todd." I said "I know" even though I didn't know him. He looked like a Todd to me. Years later I saw the movie "Serendipity" I thought, "If that was real I would have married the boy on the bicycle. One day when flipping through a family photo album I saw a pic of a boy on a bicycle wearing a gorilla suit. I asked him if he was in that scotch broom parade, and if he remembered the other gorilla that was me. He said yes, that I was standing by the such and such and described where he saw me.
It means a lot that he remembered details.

I had a similar story to share.... I had a best friend from childhood and we studied together for more than 20 years.. And at last I surprised her at her wedding by showing her a video which has all the pictures of us together took from childhood till the last.... She cried for so long and came running and hugged me... That's definition of best friend....

Awwe so amazing how God works so perfectly in our lives! I met my husband when he was 8yrs old. My parents and his parents pastored seperate churches near each other so we met when we went to visit their church❤ God directs our paths even at that young of a age I believe!! We married 14 years later when we found ourselves attending the same church in a totally different state then the one we met in years earlier😍 . . . we now have two little girls... Life seems so surreal to me as I didnt date til 27 years old and now i am married and a momma... Its a dream come true. It was all so worth the long wait! . . .No matter what life brings us we know that the same God that directed our paths all those years ago will keep us just as safe as HE is strong as we follow Him with all our hearts!

I have a question. Why is it rare for people to fall in love with and hook up with their childhood friends? Most married couples first met each other when they were adults, and a large portion of married couples first met each other when they were teenagers, and only a small portion of married couples first met each other when they were children (under the age of 13 years old).
@@snowycoldcool4115 It was more common way back in the old days to marry high school sweethearts and stay married for life. This kind of story is very rare, with the exception of those cultures that practice arranged marriages.
@@CatholicTraditional , and those cultures are not to be compared to the people that are in this video, as they force marriages upon people for selfish reasons rather than actually considering the feelings, emotions, and other important things between the two people that want to get married.

Wonderful video. My wife passed from cancer 15 years ago. We meet in 1st grade, she moved to our city in November and forgot her lunch on her first day. I shared my lunch with her. We were married 14 years later. In total we had over 46 years together from the first meeting. I hope these two have double that number of years together.
