The only thing you got wrong among all of these bloons games was the energy system in Bloons Monkey City. It does not have an energy system, all energy does is limit how many buildings you can place. Each building costs energy to exist, and so if you don’t have enough energy to support all of your buildings you can’t build any more. I shouldn’t say it costs energy, it’s more like energy buildings increase your energy maximum and each building takes up some of that energy, and so if the sum on energy needed for all of your buildings’ energy needs exceeds the energy maximum you can’t place down any more buildings.

I think your rating of bloons monkey city was completely fair and I agree the waiting and daily grind is just strictly a downgrade to the players experience. I think what I loved about that game and what separated it from btd5 was the sheer spike in difficulty the game provided compared to just playing harder maps in btd5. While yes, you can just keep grinding upgrades and eventually trivialize the difficulty, this game really forces you to come up with some crazy strats to deal with round 2 camo-regen lead rushes/ round 5 moabs etc (depends on the tile but ive seen these before 😭) especially on maps where the optimal towers are banned. Sadly the one downside to this is you find out very quickly that some towers become obsolete by a certain point and with how easy it is to setup infinite popping power in btd5 mechanics (glaive lord with arctic wind etc) you're basically doing the same thing every tile as most other options are just either way less efficient or just straight up won't work at all. Also the multiplayer aspects to this game in my opinion completely flopped except maybe contested territory but contested territory becomes completely pointless when you've maxed everything out anyways.

Plants vs zombies and BTD hold the same headspace in my brain. Both are extremely charming tower defense games with loads of great characters and many memorable 'towers' who weren't afraid to shake things up with tackling new ideas and even taking a shot at different genre's. It's a little sad to see PvZ dying at this slow and painful rate while the fans are the only reason the series thrives, but it brings me comfort to see that BTD gets love from both the dev aswell as the fans. Great ranking as always bro :]
BTD Battles has a card game mode that I REALLY like... sad that you didn't seem to play it or mention it in the video. Also BTD Battles on the flash or on Ninja Kiwi ran so well compared to now. Holding a button would send out bloons nonstop and the game was full of skilled players so it wasn't too easy like it is now. There was also a chat back then as well.
In bloons td 5 battles, if you played tournament modes it almost always devolved into who had better sun temple placement, if you didnt have good sun temple placement you got overwhelmed by ZOMGs... after like 30 minutes of nothing happening ALSO: I ASKED DEVS ON THE DISCORD A YEAR OR TWO AGO AND THEY SAID CARD BATTLES FROM BTD5 BATTLES WASNT COMING BACK, AND NOW THERE MAKING IT A SEPERATE GAME
I do like how Bloons Adventure Time puts a spin on the btd gameplay by adding rpg elements, it's a lot of fun to make builds for your towers and use trinkets to give them completely new properties and abilities. Unfortunately, it kinda hurts the gameplay variety - you always go for the same strat, and you always lump towers together for buffs, disregarding the map layout. Not to mention how grindy the game is. Still, it's a very unique entry in the series and it's worth playing
Holy crap 😮 45 games for real man that was a lot of suffering and also what happened to the live stream did you got jumpscare by Freddy Fazbear or something's?
As a long-time Bloons fan, I kept waiting for you to miss an obscure game, but no you really ranked every one I can think of! 33:36 I've played that on Wii and it was so bad 😂 Despite being on the wii, you have to aim by just moving a cursor with the Dpad and all the menus use B to select things instead of A
@@Jake.Miller this the actual 1st implication of a cards game in bloons Basically in btd battles they made cards which have 2 sides: 1 with a tower that has a specific tiers and the other side being bloons so you can use each card as a tower or a bloon depending on what you choose You can't upgrade towers so you can't just take cheap cards I forgot how many cards you could have in a deck but it was around 20 That gamemode was the most fun i ever had in bloons series but ppl generally disliked it
Bloons (at least the tower defense games) is a funny series because all of the mainline games literally are just better than the previous one, like there was no point where the series went bad for a little bit and (not having watched this video yet, not sure about this guy’s opinions) I’ve never seen anyone who’s had the take of “[x older game in the series] is where Bloons TD peaked and the newer games are too complicated/missing the charm that the older one had”
@@Jake.Miller that’s sort of what I meant, of course there are always people who have a love for the older games (even myself, I started with btd5 and it will always be my personal favorite game to go back to in the series) but mostly everyone can acknowledge that, for example, btd5 is better than btd4 and that btd6 is better than btd5, objectively they keep improving
I am such an og, that I remember playing the puzzle bloons games, but really not liking the Blood TD ones, because they were all like impossible (Bloons TD 3 was the newest one) BTD4 made me change my mind tho, it was revolutionary Btw, 15:26: I was one of those kids 22:10 The only bloons game I could beat as a kid, it felt like that I have become a bloons pro 25:14 Fun Fact: The Super Monkey upgrade for the range in BTD4 has an earth picture on it, and when you upgrade your super moneky to it, the monkey's range becomes exactly as big as the earth on that map. A cool little detail 32:30 There was even a BTD4 Level Editor (it was calles Bloons TD 4 TE, or something like that) but I couldn't figure out how to even open it, but it existed. I can't find footage of it anywhere, but I remember it existes and having no idea what TE could stand for. I even confused it a couple times with the extension pack which I could play. Edit for this: I found a page talking about that one. It was appearently called "Bloons TD4 Track Editor", but it is long gone 36:40 Actually, the Bloons 2 mobile game has more levels and a couple ones missing There was also a game calles "Bloons TD 5 Deluxe", it doesn't exist anymore, but it was basicly BTD5 on steroids
Picking someone who doesn't even know how half of the bigger games work to talk about the game doesnt work "This game is cool I saw this thing and it was neat, I have no idea what this or this or this or that is and I don't exactly know how it impacts the game, and this mechanic which fits the game perfectly and makes it work is weird because I didn't get to learn the game enough to understand it"
It’s called perspective, I made it clear from the get-go I’m a newcomer to the series. If you want a video made by a true fan of the series then OrangE’s video is for you. I’m going into each game blind and learning everything as I go to the best of my ability. I enjoy watching videos of people breaking down their thoughts on a series/game I love, it’s fun to see different interpretations

It's a little sad to see PvZ dying at this slow and painful rate while the fans are the only reason the series thrives, but it brings me comfort to see that BTD gets love from both the dev aswell as the fans.
Great ranking as always bro :]
Thank you! They both are very loved series, it's true. I wonder how many fans of one love the other
“DDT: its black and fast” Jake miller 2024
Bloons supermonkey 2 (the newer version) is one of my favs, I wish they made new ones
I like how his full game series Playlist so far consists of 2 tower defense games, 2 puzzle games, and 2 endless runner games whats next?
Haha probably five nights at Freddy’s
@@Jake.MillerYES! Please do Five Nights at Freddy’s!
Tip don’t take a shot every time he says ballon’s, worst day of my lofe.
Haha I guess I should’ve warned you
Life*
@@StevenFaustino-c9t No lofe
You can’t stop me Jake, I will drink every time you say Bloons and I will raise to a whole new level of existence for it
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Jake it's so fun to take shots every time you say peashooter sunflower and bloons
There’s also a 5th upgrade for some towers you can use them if you get any upgrade to level 4(in BTD 6)
Yes, paragons. I got nowhere near them so I didn’t end up mentioning them, I probably should have still
0:00 me already knowing that there is 44 games and he’s about to get into literal torture
This has Been the best staircase construction video I've ever seen
Yeah interesting that they built the pool around it too
I feel like I'm being made fun of...
53:00 oh my sweet lord
BTD Battles has a card game mode that I REALLY like... sad that you didn't seem to play it or mention it in the video.
Also BTD Battles on the flash or on Ninja Kiwi ran so well compared to now. Holding a button would send out bloons nonstop and the game was full of skilled players so it wasn't too easy like it is now. There was also a chat back then as well.
(Three hour bloons lore video)
Me: haha monkey pop balloon XD
haha that's the short and sweet version
He should make a tier list of every tower in bloons
Mayyybe, could be fun
In bloons td 5 battles, if you played tournament modes it almost always devolved into who had better sun temple placement, if you didnt have good sun temple placement you got overwhelmed by ZOMGs... after like 30 minutes of nothing happening
ALSO: I ASKED DEVS ON THE DISCORD A YEAR OR TWO AGO AND THEY SAID CARD BATTLES FROM BTD5 BATTLES WASNT COMING BACK, AND NOW THERE MAKING IT A SEPERATE GAME
Old btd battles was the goat, then everything changed when the powers attacked
Haha just like avatar
23:46 it is hilarious how he came up with that solution and it worked when your just supposed to throw it through the block
Haha well IT WORKED
I do like how Bloons Adventure Time puts a spin on the btd gameplay by adding rpg elements, it's a lot of fun to make builds for your towers and use trinkets to give them completely new properties and abilities.
Unfortunately, it kinda hurts the gameplay variety - you always go for the same strat, and you always lump towers together for buffs, disregarding the map layout. Not to mention how grindy the game is. Still, it's a very unique entry in the series and it's worth playing
Yes I agree completely. Unique but flawed
OrangeE's video was the third recommendation in my feed on this video
Bloons super monkey was my jam as a kid I loved it
Holy crap 😮 45 games for real man that was a lot of suffering and also what happened to the live stream did you got jumpscare by Freddy Fazbear or something's?
I'll never tell
Let me guess Shasha links scared you 😂😂
@@Jake.Miller let me guess did Sasha links scared you 😂😂😂
BLOPS = Bloons Pops but jesus what a throwback
Ohhhh that does make sense
DUDE I JUST REALIZED ITS CALLED BLOONS POP THREE BECAUSE ITS A MATCH THREE GAME OH MY GOD
haha where you always just wondering where 1 and 2 were
And now we've got a Bloons Pop 1. They're like a cursed Valve where they can't count to 2.
As a long-time Bloons fan, I kept waiting for you to miss an obscure game, but no you really ranked every one I can think of!
33:36 I've played that on Wii and it was so bad 😂 Despite being on the wii, you have to aim by just moving a cursor with the Dpad and all the menus use B to select things instead of A
Good I’m glad! You’re the only person so far who’s sad they played on the Wii, and that sounds even worse than I thought haha
I wasn't ready to be reminded of the image that he showed during Hot Air Bloon
haha now you'll NEVER forget
@@Jake.Miller Let’s just say Ninja Kiwi didn’t listen to this guy, don’t ask how I know
I'm one of like 3 people ever to miss card battles from btdb
I swear that gamemode was peak (until they added broken p2w abilities)
I honestly don't what that is haha, but I'll take your word for it
@@Jake.Miller this the actual 1st implication of a cards game in bloons
Basically in btd battles they made cards which have 2 sides: 1 with a tower that has a specific tiers and the other side being bloons so you can use each card as a tower or a bloon depending on what you choose
You can't upgrade towers so you can't just take cheap cards
I forgot how many cards you could have in a deck but it was around 20
That gamemode was the most fun i ever had in bloons series but ppl generally disliked it
Bloons (at least the tower defense games) is a funny series because all of the mainline games literally are just better than the previous one, like there was no point where the series went bad for a little bit and (not having watched this video yet, not sure about this guy’s opinions) I’ve never seen anyone who’s had the take of “[x older game in the series] is where Bloons TD peaked and the newer games are too complicated/missing the charm that the older one had”
I do sort of have that opinion haha but I have to admit the more recent games are just better, regardless of what I think
@@Jake.Miller that’s sort of what I meant, of course there are always people who have a love for the older games (even myself, I started with btd5 and it will always be my personal favorite game to go back to in the series) but mostly everyone can acknowledge that, for example, btd5 is better than btd4 and that btd6 is better than btd5, objectively they keep improving
now rank every btd6 upgrade including paragons and combinations
oh boy haha
@@Jake.Miller you know that you also have to rank every paragon level too, right?
"HANK, DONT PLAY THE FLASH VERSION OF BLOONS MONKEY CITY, MOST THE STUFF ARE OUTDATED. HANK"
I hate when hank doesn’t listen
Yeah I sure wish Hank listened
How many classic video game franchises can you think of that didn't introduce music until after about 10 games in the series?
haha its probably happened with flash games before but that is very crazy
I am such an og, that I remember playing the puzzle bloons games, but really not liking the Blood TD ones, because they were all like impossible (Bloons TD 3 was the newest one)
BTD4 made me change my mind tho, it was revolutionary
Btw, 15:26: I was one of those kids
22:10 The only bloons game I could beat as a kid, it felt like that I have become a bloons pro
25:14 Fun Fact: The Super Monkey upgrade for the range in BTD4 has an earth picture on it, and when you upgrade your super moneky to it, the monkey's range becomes exactly as big as the earth on that map. A cool little detail
32:30 There was even a BTD4 Level Editor (it was calles Bloons TD 4 TE, or something like that) but I couldn't figure out how to even open it, but it existed.
I can't find footage of it anywhere, but I remember it existes and having no idea what TE could stand for. I even confused it a couple times with the extension pack which I could play.
Edit for this: I found a page talking about that one. It was appearently called "Bloons TD4 Track Editor", but it is long gone
36:40 Actually, the Bloons 2 mobile game has more levels and a couple ones missing
There was also a game calles "Bloons TD 5 Deluxe", it doesn't exist anymore, but it was basicly BTD5 on steroids
The strongest hero is Quincy. Nothing gets past his bow
My man.. we were beating btd on a consistent basis in the computer lab in like 4th grade..
Clearly “we” does not include me
putting btd battle 2 over 1 is crazy
I really like the adventure times one been playing it for a while
Picking someone who doesn't even know how half of the bigger games work to talk about the game doesnt work
"This game is cool I saw this thing and it was neat, I have no idea what this or this or this or that is and I don't exactly know how it impacts the game, and this mechanic which fits the game perfectly and makes it work is weird because I didn't get to learn the game enough to understand it"
It’s called perspective, I made it clear from the get-go I’m a newcomer to the series. If you want a video made by a true fan of the series then OrangE’s video is for you. I’m going into each game blind and learning everything as I go to the best of my ability. I enjoy watching videos of people breaking down their thoughts on a series/game I love, it’s fun to see different interpretations
BTDB1 still holds up to this day and some believe is better than BTDB2, however, it is very very competitive and has a high skill ceiling, i myself personally dont play or enjoy it, but its so much fun to watch and incredibly good
I adored Bloons Supermonkey 2 Mobile, especially Stormmonkey, but that may just be my rose tinted glasses
But yeahh..I can see the issues with the game
Great video,I didn't even know about some of these games and I'm a BTD Fanatic
18:20 it actually stands for massive ornary air blimp
48:14 Who will tell him
does he know?
I now know, yes...
O kurde, Polak i to jeszcze z tym samym imieniem.
@@Jake.Millergood.
BATTD, BMC and BCS better be S tier
Uh ohhhhhhhh
@@Jake.Miller I was thoroughly disappointed but I did agree with BMC a lot.
To be fair, I didn’t say I hated any of those 3, either
@@Jake.Miller very true

of course, just for you bby
I thought there were like 4 mainline game for sum reason. Thanks for making this list!this must taken sooooo much time 😅
haha yep quite a bit more. It took a VERY long time
Likely known but it's called Pop 3 in parody of the Match 3 games (Candycrush bejewled gemz ect..) so good look finding a pop 1 or 2 game, would be dull.
Sure, but the whole point of that bit is there IS a Bloons Pop later in the video
@@Jake.Miller That's what I get for commenting before the end. Ya got me. The bit worked.
