One thing i always loved about "silent" shows (as in, no Dialogue at all), is that the writers and animators manage to find a way to write an interesting and engaging story without the need of having the characters say a full worded sentence

I know that it never happend in the shorts, but in the game "Angry Birds Epic" the Chef is actually the main villian and keeps his evil personality that it had in this serie. The game in general is good tbh

Other than that I wish they continued the series, I mean they still make cartoons but it's all in the Movie style sadly I miss it when they didn't have legs and arms. Great video by the way!

You know, I'll have to admit. Angry Birds Toons actually made me ruminate for a while. Ignoring the movies and newer games like Reload, Chef Pig as a character is the only one with the most significant development whose arc ended in a sad note. He was born smart in Pig City, an island where the most (admittedly) dumb pigs thrive. Knowing him, he probably got sick of their stupidity and tried doing it his own way, especially to steal the eggs so he may be able to be promoted to far higher ranks to the point of being a monarch. And... seeing his arc fully concluded in Baked On made me feel bad for him honestly. It's at that point where Chef Pig, having been saddened now knowing his most effort schemes (pig potion, trojan egg, etc) never work; decided to accept society and give up, leaving only the dumbest pigs to capture the eggs to no avail. No pigs bat an eye on their difference, as Minion Pig with the chef hat is essentially a "better" version of Chef Pig. To see his spot get replaced is just depressing. The moment King Pig Smooth Cheeks becomes the next monarch, Chef Pig's life has already been downhill from the start. Maybe that's why he wanted to usurp the throne. With the right king, he can lead the pigs to a better life and even get them to steal eggs in a much, smarter way. But.. That's what pigs are. They're simply built with the mind of them being an embodiment of stupidity. Eggs are the only thing they're looking forward to, not better lives. Even if Chef Pig becomes the king, he would've grown frustrated eventually. Alas, a great villain must come to the end, which is why I love Chef Pig as a character.
He's the best villain in angry birds franchise hands down. I know there's like Gale but her origins with Stella her ex-best friends never told so, that's why I can't consider her as the best. Leonard I like him but as the best villain he can't fit enough. As for other villain like king pig totally no. He does good in game but just not quite overall. Foreman pig did have potential but he's just not smart enough. Corporal pig forget it. As for other pigs there like Hams didn't have enough number to rank. Sadly if we talk about the game only in epic where he gave the most spotlight as the true main antagonist.

I would have loved an ending where Terrence accepts the crown from king pig, and after a while the birds and pigs make peace. In the last scene, the eggs begin to hatch and the episode slowly fades to black. I would cry lmao
You should totally rank the Stella series too! That series was amazing. Also I actually prefer the animation shift (approximately starting at Dopeys on a Rope). The first few episodes were flash animated or they used rigs to animate the characters. This is effective for awhile until you realize you can't make any extreme expressions or movements. Dopeys on a Rope and onward seem to use traditional, hand drawn animation or frame by frame which allows for more expressive fluid movement imo.
I do really want to! I like both animations styles but will always favor the original. I’m not even entirely sure why, I think maybe I just like the stylization and the way the birds look a bit more there. I always love the expressiveness in animation too

You are still technically right about Toons being a "TV show" since it got a simultaneous online and broadcast release. I'm not sure which English (or Finnish) channels aired it, but I know in the Philippines it aired Saturdays on GMA Network.

@@ImTheGuy what's weird is that Hal did have a Toons redesign even before Angry Birds 2, in which he had a drastic design change, a more mature look with blacker areas. It was used in Angry Birds Rio for the Rio 2 levels. Unfortunately he was never used for Toons officially as his only official animated appearance with that design is in a Coca Cola Angry Birds trailer/Ad that used the Toons animation style and designs. Aside from that it was used a few times in Go and some of the comics but shafted afterwards ever since the movie and Angry Birds 2 alongside different varying personalities and inconsistent characteristics. Kinda shows how much Toons affected each character when Hal ended up as the most inconsistent character in the series due to missing out. Wished his toons design got more usage though.

I'm sorry but Dopeys on a Rope is hilarious. The whole episode had me rolling on the floor laughing. I'd give an S tier alone. The comedy works really well and the animation is good.
I agree the pigs getting shot back to the top of the cliff gets me every time. Operation opera is really good too, the singing pig’s voice really keeps the episode out of f tier in my opinion.

Won’t spoil that much but the Final Battle is very epic, the events after this battle are even better!

I loved angry birds toons, I really hate that it’s over and replaced with… whatever happened now... But hey, when something is gone, cherish that it existed, instead of complaining it’s gone.
My favorite episodes are all in a row. Egg's Day Out, Gate Crasher, and Hog Roast. Each one is amazing for different reasons. Watching this video reminded me of watching the series in real time as a kid, getting obsessed over every new addition and change. Like, I cannot describe how insane it was when Chef Pig first appeared. Or how confusing it was when they randomly changed Pig City's design near the end of the original artstyle. Or when Professor Pig appeared for 3 seconds in Slappy Go Lucky! Or when Hamshank Redemption NOT ONLY introduced Goliath Pig, but showed a female pig on a photo the wall. I remember wondering if female pigs actually existed for a really long time, so seeing that was super cool. And then the imaginary girl pig who King Pig sees in that cabbage in a future episode, which introduced CHANCHELLOR PIG! All the random new pig character reveals were so crazy as a kid. It was super cool to hear how you made comics of each of the episodes, because, while I _didn't_ remake episodes as comics, I did try to make character sheets where I drew every single uniquely named pig. Even down to drawing insignificant ones like Goliath pig. I was super obsessed with Angry Birds Toons. EDIT: oh, and of course, I waited so so SO long for Stella and Hal to be added! When Bubbles was added for Halloween, I FLIPPED OUT. I remember finding out that Hal appeared in that Chinese Coca Cola commercial, or whatever it was, and I was wondering if that's what he'd actually look like in Toons. Then Angry Birds Go came out and he had the same design. And alas, Hal never came to Toons. But then he got an entirely new design in Angry Birds friends, and then Angry Birds 2. I wasn't even into Angry Birds anymore at that point, but seeing Hal get what was basically a brand new Toons design was wild. Also I gotta say that I love the DK Jungle Climber music throughout the vid. Jungle Climber is one of my favorite games and hearing it in a video that's already filled with so much nostalgia was great.

I remember watching these episodes, like a lot, I watch almost every single episode in my entire childhood. With a huge fan of Angry Birds, Young me would spent playing hours of their games from that point.
Ngl, I skipped right to the sex episode as I want to see this *amazing* episode ranked. I'm glad you also prioritised this epsidoe too as it has some of the best writing (also I admit I understood the jokes even when I was little too). But otherwise good video, angry birds toons is always a W show in my book.
Rediscovering the series feels refreshing and makes me happy, although i really wished we gotten a bit of episodes with Stella and Hal, sure they arent the mainstream characters of the franchise and the show, but i would like to see what they would be presented as and how they play a role in the flock and against the pigs (Angry Birds Stella did it but would been cool to see them mixed with the main team, Hal could been like an uncle to the birds, or idk cause perhaps Terrrance already fills that up)

All the episodes let’s be real are pretty insane in their own silly ways. It’s tough for me to pick a favorite but if I were to say which was the funniest and maybe my favorite I would have to say the one where chef pig tries to become the best chef but obviously fails to a worker pig when trying to make a cake, that one was just super interesting with how pissed he was getting at the worker pigs and being wronged by King Pig in the funniest way possible in my opinion! ^^

I remember being in like 2nd grade and they would always tease the new upcoming toon on the app. Me and my friends would try to guess what it would be about and when it finally did release I would always recreate it with my plushies. God I miss angry birds.
I've only seen about a third of all the episodes - and nothing from season 3 - yet this video was somehow entertaining all the way. It was a fun revisit to some episodes, and the narration was very entertaining. One of the best videos on this channel so far. You did a great job on this video, and I can't believe I put off watching it for this long.

@@ImTheGuy what's weird is that Hal did have a Toons redesign even before Angry Birds 2, in which he had a drastic design change, a more mature look with blacker areas. It was used in Angry Birds Rio for the Rio 2 levels. Unfortunately he was never used for Toons officially as his only official animated appearance with that design is in a Coca Cola Angry Birds trailer/Ad that used the Toons animation style and designs. Aside from that it was used a few times in Go and some of the comics but shafted afterwards ever since the movie and Angry Birds 2 alongside different varying personalities and inconsistent characteristics. Kinda shows how much Toons affected each character when Hal ended up as the most inconsistent character in the series due to missing out. Wished his toons design got more usage though.

I'm sorry but Dopeys on a Rope is hilarious. The whole episode had me rolling on the floor laughing. I'd give an S tier alone. The comedy works really well and the animation is good.
I agree the pigs getting shot back to the top of the cliff gets me every time. Operation opera is really good too, the singing pig’s voice really keeps the episode out of f tier in my opinion.

I loved angry birds toons, I really hate that it’s over and replaced with… whatever happened now... But hey, when something is gone, cherish that it existed, instead of complaining it’s gone.
My favorite episodes are all in a row.
Egg's Day Out, Gate Crasher, and Hog Roast.
Each one is amazing for different reasons.
Watching this video reminded me of watching the series in real time as a kid, getting obsessed over every new addition and change.
Like, I cannot describe how insane it was when Chef Pig first appeared. Or how confusing it was when they randomly changed Pig City's design near the end of the original artstyle. Or when Professor Pig appeared for 3 seconds in Slappy Go Lucky! Or when Hamshank Redemption NOT ONLY introduced Goliath Pig, but showed a female pig on a photo the wall. I remember wondering if female pigs actually existed for a really long time, so seeing that was super cool. And then the imaginary girl pig who King Pig sees in that cabbage in a future episode, which introduced CHANCHELLOR PIG! All the random new pig character reveals were so crazy as a kid.
It was super cool to hear how you made comics of each of the episodes, because, while I _didn't_ remake episodes as comics, I did try to make character sheets where I drew every single uniquely named pig. Even down to drawing insignificant ones like Goliath pig. I was super obsessed with Angry Birds Toons.
EDIT: oh, and of course, I waited so so SO long for Stella and Hal to be added! When Bubbles was added for Halloween, I FLIPPED OUT. I remember finding out that Hal appeared in that Chinese Coca Cola commercial, or whatever it was, and I was wondering if that's what he'd actually look like in Toons. Then Angry Birds Go came out and he had the same design. And alas, Hal never came to Toons. But then he got an entirely new design in Angry Birds friends, and then Angry Birds 2. I wasn't even into Angry Birds anymore at that point, but seeing Hal get what was basically a brand new Toons design was wild.
Also I gotta say that I love the DK Jungle Climber music throughout the vid. Jungle Climber is one of my favorite games and hearing it in a video that's already filled with so much nostalgia was great.

I remember watching these episodes, like a lot, I watch almost every single episode in my entire childhood. With a huge fan of Angry Birds, Young me would spent playing hours of their games from that point.
Ngl, I skipped right to the sex episode as I want to see this *amazing* episode ranked. I'm glad you also prioritised this epsidoe too as it has some of the best writing (also I admit I understood the jokes even when I was little too). But otherwise good video, angry birds toons is always a W show in my book.

Rediscovering the series feels refreshing and makes me happy, although i really wished we gotten a bit of episodes with Stella and Hal, sure they arent the mainstream characters of the franchise and the show, but i would like to see what they would be presented as and how they play a role in the flock and against the pigs (Angry Birds Stella did it but would been cool to see them mixed with the main team, Hal could been like an uncle to the birds, or idk cause perhaps Terrrance already fills that up)

It’s tough for me to pick a favorite but if I were to say which was the funniest and maybe my favorite I would have to say the one where chef pig tries to become the best chef but obviously fails to a worker pig when trying to make a cake, that one was just super interesting with how pissed he was getting at the worker pigs and being wronged by King Pig in the funniest way possible in my opinion! ^^

I've only seen about a third of all the episodes - and nothing from season 3 - yet this video was somehow entertaining all the way. It was a fun revisit to some episodes, and the narration was very entertaining. One of the best videos on this channel so far. god I remember watching a small commentary video on the adult funtime one, lets just say it had a lot of jokes that completely flew over my head as a kid. that's not particularly surprising, considering I was pretty no thoughts head empty, but it was still a shock that I remembered most of the details of the episode and didn't realise it meant anything more than 'damn they got captured, they made an egg so they can go, now pig captured'
