[SOLVED] Boss SD1 Super Overdrive Switch On/Off Is Not Working

Here is the simple solution for your boss effect pedals with the trouble switch (can't turn on or off the pedal). And this methode is worked out for mostly boss stompbox pedals.

Thank you for this video! It was not the same issue in my pedal, but it helped me a lot, the 2 metals inside didn’t have good contact I just pushed them together and it’s working now, I was planning to sell it because I thought it was going to be the electronic board. Thanks!

I have the same issue the middle post are touching together. There's 2 smaller post on the sides. Are they supposed to touch the other wall as well or no so when you tap on the button it turn on.? If you can kindly help me out here a bit.

my boss metal master suddenly not working, after a week searching for solution and almost giving up, TH-cam recommend me this video. Sceptical at first not because of the method but because of I am not sure if the switch is the problem but it turns out indeed the switch is the problem (some blue corrosion stuff appeared on the metal in which the eucalyptus oil did a good job cleaning it) and my pedal works again. Thanks for saving me $15 for repair man, glad you make this video.

@Doomsi I tried to change the battery or do what the video said but nothing seemed to work. After about a month I changed the battery again and it did work so I guess it just needed some time to rest...?

curious whre you getting signal with it stuck on??? i have boss pedal it' works sometimes others times it won't turn off and i get not output from it. Is this same issue or no??

@@imnotametalhead3211 ok i took mine apart and on the bottom of the switch is a little circuit board make sure the wires still have a good connection and i just pressed that circuit board firmly to the bottom of the switch and put some electrical tape to hold it firmly in place pedal has worked since. i didn't use punctuation or correct mistakes in this reply so hope you can read it just in a hurry lol
