Interesting to see the layout, but feels a but uncomfortable intruding on his neighbours and his family. But there isn’t much here that isn’t in Google earth! Good images.
He doesn’t own all those buildings. He owns the house with the topiary at the front on the end. His land then extends out the back for a while and dog legs around the other properties
Looks like Monty’s house ..has the old “ Long Meadow” land behind all those houses as part of his big house which is maybe the farm house which would, have owned all the land before it was spilt up
I wish you had put arrows over his house. I could make out The gardens but not which house. Yes, I thought it was just him and his family that lived there.
What busy bodies you all are. Mr Don has always printed plans of Longmeadow. Buy his books instead of supposing lots of things about other peoples business.
If you listen, Monty has been there far longer than his time presenting on the BBC. This is HIS home, paid for by HIS money and earnings. Don't be such a dog in the manger. better anyway to spend taxpayer's dosh on gardening than another reality X level celebrity show, surely ?
This was the most helpful vantage for me to get a feel for the layout and scope of Longmeadow. Before it seemed disjointed and abstract.

All those buildings…I never knew. Amazing

@@sydneygardener540. Yes true. Looks deceiving from above. There is a public footpath that runs next to the properties 🚶♂️
The man has a few neighbours! Funny the impression it gives on tv. It is a nice garden but I much prefer Carol Klein's garden.
Looking for all the color I always see on the show. Now all I see is beautiful green
Amazing what they can do with editing 👀⏰🌲👍
Thanks. Hope it helped 🎦
😊
Very interesting.Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice. Gives one a perspective of what his garden really is like! Thank you
Thanks
Wow, look at the size of that place!
It's not all Montys, there are a few homes there.
Is a game proven perspective definitely changes how you can view things. From life problem by to properties
Some truth in that 👍
@@redfox111 If you can understand what @allisong6 is trying to say!

It is not!
That was very interesting Ithought it was only Monty and his family lived there .B it all those buildings must be occupied. Thankyou
Glad you enjoyed it
It didn’t look anything like Longmeadow too me I couldn’t see the pond or any of the flower garden , where’s the Paradise garden?
You can clearly see where his garden is, even though it isn't close up. You can even see his writing shed backing onto the green field.
So where is the pond?
Salford it aint!
🤔
And that’s why you can’t visit longmeadow!
Looks a right mess
I wish you had put arrows over his house. I could make out The gardens but not which house. Yes, I thought it was just him and his family that lived there.
my BBC license fee is paying for this massive house and property .
No it isn't. Monty Don owns the property and gets paid by the BBC for making a programme in his garden.
He earned the money doing documentaries and gardeners world at the BBC . @@timburton5280
Did you say, bbc pays him to film. So the licencefee doespay for all of that. 😂@timburton5280
He owned this before working for bbc
I do not recognize any part of what is shown on TV, no pond, no jewel garden , no mount with a shed on top, no big pot on the axes,
It’s all there. Mostly on the right hand side The viewing height obscures the different garden sections 👍
@@redfox111 oke I will take your word for it.
It's his job....he earned it....and it was his families private home before it was used as a set for the BBC programme

All paid for by the BBC’s……….unique funding👀
Very kind of them 💰💰🙈

No it’s not, it’s the home he has had for decades longer than his time on GW.
