I think this upcoming draft for Poles is the pivotal one. This draft should be o-line specific. The introduction of two young lineman at guard and left tackle that are capable of protection and line movement. This is the "critical" draft for the Bears' future.
I agree they need some young o-lineman for depth, but they need an edge rusher and d-line depth way more than o-line help. I mean, Braxton Jones isn't even really worthy of being replaced. He's been playing great.
Just think how amazing Caleb would be in the same system for several years where they get hundreds of reps of every play in the playbook. I think it would be a lot of fun to watch!
T brown simplified things for caleb and thats allowing quicker decision making. Caleb likes TBs aura and seems to work well with him. Its good news for us lets see if we can diagnose the other issues niw that the waldron issue is gone
Fans expected the team to be better than the 7-10 they managed last season and to be in the hunt for a playoff spot. I don't know many who thought they'd win the toughest division in the NFL.
I just look at the fact that Caleb isn’t throwing any interceptions which is great but.. when you’re that constrained instead of just freely looking to your progressions and hitting open guys it just seems like if he was truly unleashed there’d be some interceptions but also a lot more production and TDs instead of these whole halves of games where they pretty much put up no points.
That's shifted in the last two weeks with Brown. Some of his throws against the Vikings were into really tight windows. It's a balance. He can't hold the ball hoping a deeper option might come open. He can't pass on an open read. If it's there then throw it and trust your receiver to make the most of it. He's doing that much better now and he's running when he has to as well.
Caleb can be a outstanding quarterback, he needs to get away from Eberflus. I worry that he will learn the wrong habits from this coaching staff. McCaskey please make a move on the head coach. Do not ruin this kid, he can be a special player for years...
I think at some point every young NFL QB needs to make a decision to see what they've got and let their training and instincts take over. THAT'S when you figure out if you're a real NFL QB or just a pretender. If you never do this, you'll always be tentative and never make it (Justin Fields maybe?). If you do do this, at least you'll know quickly one way or the other.
He also didn’t choose Flus. Flus was hired right before he got the job. Poles seat should definitely be warm but I’m still willing to give him one more year provided he fires Flus.
@@lancehutchison2056man that’s not good enough, so we supposed to forget about the other 9 games just because of 2 decent games, we need a great OLine , not a good enough OLine
Just curious, what are the new plays? I am seeing a lot of the same screen plays, they are just going to Rome or DJ instead of Cole Kmet, and the players are blocking better and playing harder overall.
What changed is game planning. And the sequence of the plays being called. They’re minor changes that we can’t really know but Caleb is playing better. I believe Thomas Brown has something to do with it.

I think a safety should be drafted too with brisker being hurt so much

he is better than what we have had but is still not the answer

Fans really expected the team to win the north this year, smh. I know fans are tired but dam.
Not not all fans. C’mon man.
Well I was expecting to just not be bottom of the division once again

They are ready to blow it all up. Goofy. Poles has a lot of work to do on both lines.
@ We’re just 4 games back behind 3rd place in the division right now. 😒
Need to see more of the hosts. To much time spent with the Kurt place card on the screen.

I said the same. Interceptions (for the first time a Bear quarterback) isnt gonna be a problem.

McCaskeys are part of the problem

Agreed. Sooner rather than later they have to trust the ball and throw themselves.

None of this really matters when Poles is incapable of choosing Coaching talent or offensive lineman.
Offense line has been fine the last few weeks

I'm good with Poles. That one trade should buy him 5 years.
George hired Bill Polian to look for a coach. He hired Eberflus before Poles was hired.

Warner is a grouch and an Eberflus apologist.
Pick a guy and stroke it to him huh
You heard him.
This is the second week Warner is saying they're running the same plays...that's just objectively wrong
Just curious, what are the new plays? I am seeing a lot of the same screen plays, they are just going to Rome or DJ instead of Cole Kmet, and the players are blocking better and playing harder overall.
They have not changed the playbook.. Thomas brown said it himself.

Protection has definitely changed. I see the backs and Te staying in more to block.
