    Exactly the reason I follow you -- the wonderful diversity of styles, keys, techniques and other things you share with us. I come here to broaden my musical horizons and abilities and to be inspired, and you never, ever fail to do that. And you make me laugh. Thank you.

    Simply the most comprehensive 🎹 lesson with you having taught me the Royal 3rds, 6th. Etc. I can help you if computer didn’t transcribe your blues and rock licks or Motif’s B.T.W the bouncy or shuffle feel 8th 🎶 notes, aren’t dotted but rather they’re 8th note Triplets, Playing the first and last “8th” notes. 1 and uh 2 and uh or in America 🇺🇸 one can count 1 trip let. 2 trip let,don’t play on the middle or 2nd note and you’re playing 8th notes played Interpreted ( meaning shuffle feel or jazz feel) I have studied with Norman Grossman Nyc juliard

    Some prefer to become fluent in just one key before attempting others. I think that trying out various keys opens our ears to new sounds, I like D and Db sounds, and hands sit easier in some keys than others. Trying out new long runs of our own is fun and keeps me from yawning during practice.

    I started to learn how to play Blues on the piano for several reasons :
    1) I like blues- James Booker, Booker T & The M.G.'s and bluesy bands like the Doors ( I especially adore Ray Manzarek’s style).
    2) I thought it would be faster & more interesting , than learning classical stuff and drilling endless scales - come on , there are only 3 chords in blues)
    And then I discovered that blues has so many faces, styles and expressions. It’s like learning a foreign language, there’s always room for perfection .
    3) We all want to become rich & famous , like you are :)
    Thanx for your lessons!

    I don’t have any special requests, but could you make a very short lesson for blues in D?

      'They say' nine-tenths of the iceberg is hidden from view. A friend had a calendar with a corollary : '9/10 of everything is hidden from view.' Seems that way with the blues . Who knew ? Well, Christian did sure. 😀

    You're good man!! I'm a beginner and i find C is the most straightforward to learn but guitarist and bands in general like E and A and not so much C (i should know, I've been playin bass guitar and harmonica in bands for years). So i got to get these A and E's down sooner or later.

    Thank you for your work and attention to detail. I watch your videos over coffee, and also while trying the examples at the piano. I have stolen four licks and bass lines from you just last week :-) I plan to 'steal' more from you this week. Youthful false ambition, might also say 'youthful exuberance.' :-)

    Thanks Christian for all you give us, essentially for nothing. I was at my regular, weekly lesson last night, and feeling slightly disappointed with my sight reading I broke off and jammed the g minor boogie. Lovely Lucy said something like "fucking hell Anthony, that sounds so cool, where did you get that from?" "Christian from Berlin" I replied. She really loves your influence! Do I want to hear E, or F# or any other key? Anything, but if I was to cheekily request or suggest, I would ask about intros. What does Dr John do with the start of when the saints, what did Longhair do with Tipitina? Have a great day!

    I don’t feel like I’m cheating on my guitar when I watch your videos. I’ve learned more about piano solos from you than anyone on TH-cam. I’m retired and have limited resources but I would like to donate something for these great lessons. How do I go about doing that?

    • @ChristianFuchsBlues
      @ChristianFuchsBlues  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Gary, sorry to keep you waiting with such a nice comment! You can donate either here paypal.me/christianfromberlin or here where people can become a supporter on a regular basis even for a very small monthly sum from 1 $. ( As an extra you get an occasional view behind the curtains or a tutorial download for free. ) www.patreon.com/blueswithchristian
      I am most grateful for either way and can confirm to you that cheating on your guitar with the piano is the only sin look looks mercifully upon! :-) best from Christian
