    Andy "aTrippyFarmer" Dole is a 6th generation farmer from Central Illinois. On this farm, Andy works alongside his father, Marty, his uncles, Chris and Jeff, and his sister, Katie, to grow corn and soybeans on some of the finest dirt in the world. Andy and his family are deeply rooted in the area, operating a large farm that traces it origins back into the 1800s. Although some tracts did not stand the test of time, Andy and his family still grow corn and soybeans on fields that have been in the family for longer than even the oldest members of the farm have been alive. We do, we have, and we always will take tremendous pride in calling this piece of paradise our home. Andy was a Bronze Tablet graduate of the University of Illinois in the field of Crop Sciences, following the same path as his father and late grandfather.
    It would be misleading for Andy to claim that this life is one that came by chance; rather, as a member of two multi-generational farm families, it was simply in his blood. His passion for agriculture traces back to his early youth--some of his fondest, earliest memories being of days spent riding in the combine with his father and grandfather. Although his understanding of the lifestyle was much less complex in the beginning, the love he has for farming, and its industry has only appreciated through time. As this dream blossomed into adulthood, Andy now works relentlessly, and tirelessly, to chase his own dreams and to build a farming operation of his own alongside his family.
    We, as a whole operation, are handymen, electricians, mechanics, landscapers, accountants, economists, caretakers, stewards, and, most importantly, farmers, and we take an incredible amount of pride in our work. There is no challenge too overwhelming, no situation too stressful, and no problem too difficult for us to take on, and we want to take you along with us. Welcome to our farm and welcome to our lives. You have the best seat in the house to watch the everyday chaos of farming unfold--we usually only get concerned when things aren't going wrong!

    There really is nothing better than manure on your crop land. It makes such a difference .

      @aTrippyFarmer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. It's the X-factor. If only you didn't have to raise animals to get manure...haha

    I'm a truck driver and sometimes on the 7 pin connection the pins are pushed together and not making a good connection in the cable. There is a slit in each pin, take a flathead screwdriver and spread that pin open to make contact with the wall of the plug. That seems to do the trick for me.

    • @aTrippyFarmer
      @aTrippyFarmer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I will take note of that. Thank you!

    Trippy, was that 2 OSHA violations when you did not have safety glasses on around the sprayer? And then an operator error with the cultivar. Marty is going to have to withhold your bonus for the year. Just kidding. Always enjoy your vids. Keep them coming.

    when i lived on farm..we had big chicken house...covered an entire field with what came out of it.....farming has changed so much, no plowing much..u wonder why the change from plowing did not happen in the 60s

    • @aTrippyFarmer
      @aTrippyFarmer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just don't think plowing was efficient. It moves a lot of soil and takes tons of fuel. It probably wouldn't have gone away so rapidly if GPS had existed back then.

    We got over 2 inches of rain on our farm yesterday and while we need it, we got wheat, we’re also trying to plow ahead of planting ourselves but we won’t be planting till mid may as we plant mainly cotton.

    You guys need to ask J Deere to give you a demo of the new Beast tractor they are coming out with. A few case guys just got that 715 and it looks pretty impressive so far.

    • @aTrippyFarmer
      @aTrippyFarmer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      John Deere didn't make that tractor for farmers like us, although you will see them around. I think it was built for the Great Plains and Canada. I guess those huge air seeder combos take ridiculous power. Case missed the mark by not powering up enough to get around DEF.

    Tried some ammonium thio-sulfate last year on beans with a side dress application. Was hoping for a positive results. One test was up one bushel, one test was even, and the final was down one bushel.

      I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that here. Sulfur is just a hot topic over the last 5 years or so. Everyone is looking for the cheat code...

    • @aTrippyFarmer
      @aTrippyFarmer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a multimeter. How does that solve a connection issue in the plug if there is power?

    • @thomasbritten7216
      @thomasbritten7216 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aTrippyFarmer which pin had a bad connection? Do a continuity check through the plug to figure out which of the 7 circuits is not connecting. Then you can take the connectors apart and find the problem

    Andy I am sure it’s an optical illusion,,,,, but it looks to me like your boom is to close to the ground. And! When I see drift like you had and combine that with 24D,,,, pucker factor 1000! Never had an issue but it always makes me nervous. I won’t let anyone spray it but me on our farm.

    • @aTrippyFarmer
      @aTrippyFarmer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My boom was set to maybe 20". I ran low to compensate for the drifty nozzles. I pay more attention to that than I let on...

    Do you live off an interstate because I live in stewardson which is by effingham and went to my sisters college and there was a massive shed off the interstate and didn’t know if it was your guys.
