    This was really helpful! WE have this system at our church and no one knows how it all works. We also use some cheap 2.4 ghz wireless guitar systems that have a earphone jack that plug in to the P16 and it gives us really cheap wireless earpieces.

    I totally agree eith your recommendation - saves me having to bring amps etc. Just decent set of earphones. One slight issue - I don't always want the sermon mixed in. We play also after main service and you don't want to hear someone's personal confession repeated from the preacher. But this also means most of the time I have one earphone off ear so I can hear ambient sound. The main digital mixers appear quite good too. Although I have never got into that aspect (I am still on analog mixer)

    Thanks for your videos, I can see the logic, and I don’t think you can beat the cost! We’re probably going to do something very similar.

    can the P16 Behringer system be used with a Presonus Digital board? or is it proprietary only to be used with a Behringer board? I'd like to upgrade with IEM's.

    Does the behringer powerplay 16 work with a Allen and Heath sound board?

    Awesome video, so thank you! Much appreciated!
    I can’t find detailed information regarding the headphone amplifier in the PM-16. How good are they? How would you describe them in terms of:
    1. Volume?
    2. Tonality?
    3. Clarity?
    4. Headroom/Dynamics?
    My IEM’s are 32ohm with 111dB sensitivity. As a drummer, I’m looking for a headphone amp that can play incredibly loud without clipping/distorting.
    Thanks again!

    Do you have any problems with your headphone jacks on the P16 units? we have 8 and every single one of them has a loose connection internally. We are always having to wiggle our headphone cables to get them to make good connections.

    Hi Kenny, can you suggest is there any other system not that expensive to have different mix in headphones.I sing on tracks from laptop.Mic and laptop are plugged into Mackie Pro FX8 V2.When I plug headphones in phone output on the mixer I cannot hear my voice well because it is covered with the track.I tried to plug headphones in monitor output and that worked I could mix voice and track not effecting the mix in speakers for, but the track is mono and the sound in the ears is not so good.Do you know of some cheaper possibility that can solve my problem?Thanks in advance.

    How do you have the click and track set up from the board to the p16m’s? You mentioned another device at the end of a video that you use with a Hosa cable to run your backing tracks?
    Don’t want to hear click in the mains, but I do in the in ears via the P16M’s.
    Thanks!

      I use a interface from the computer to split the tracks. One channel is click only for the musicians and the other channel is tracks only for the house. (Behringer x Air XR18)

    I never worked out how to ungroup channels. For example.keys has a left/right ... Makes sense. But sometimes someone setup vocal-guitar-bass and I would like to remove bass from the group.
    Any idea would be gratefully appreciated

    A great review which is so helpful, we are looking into purchasing this kind of set up early 2020. Just one question, do the musicians in ear buds plug directly into the P16-M or do they go via a belt pack please?

    • @lensproule1013
      @lensproule1013 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Each musician plugs their headphones into their respective PM16. Toward the end of the video, he shows how he uses cable extenders from the 1/4” headphone output on the back of each PM-16, down the stand, then up the stand of each musician’s microphone/instrument.
      This way, if a musician needs to switch positions on stage, they simply unplug their headphones from that extension, and plug into another headphone extension cable plugged into the back of another PM16, and select a predetermined mix using the “Group” function on that unit.

    Is there any possibility on the X32 mixer to set the gain independently from the P16M mixers?
    Every time when the mixing guy changing the gain of a certain channel live (FOH), the gain is changing in the P16M too, and ruining my settings of my monitor. Is there any possibility to solve this problem? Thanks.

    • @marklabranche8045
      @marklabranche8045 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      gain settings at FOH affect everything coming from the board, PM16 included. The only way to separate this would be to split your inputs and send them to a 2nd on-stage x32 dedicated for monitoring. FOH should not be changing gain levels on inputs for the most part after a good mix is created. However, sometimes adjustment is necessary when different instruments are switched out on an input. Ex. Bass player switches from a passive to an active bass.

    I have 1-p16i and 6-p16m with 300 ft of cat5. The first p16m has great sound and powers up via cat 5 the next 5 don’t power up . I have to power them individually. The first 5 have signal but the last one no signal. One 300 ft long cat5 cable, 5 -10ft long jumper cat5 cables. What’s my problem? What do I need? POi cat 5 extender, or p16D?

    Are you able to use a different mixer? Does it have to be a Behringer?

    • @TheKajunkat
      @TheKajunkat ปีที่แล้ว

      you have to use either a behringer or Midas digital mixer to work with ultranet directly. Supposedly, there are some interfaces that can convert from other digital boards but I have no experience with them

    I'm considering buying a digital mixer for my band and I was looking at the Behringer X32 compact. It claims to be a 16 channel mixer, however I noticed it doesn't have any 1/4 jack instrument cable inputs! It only has XLR inputs. Why is this? Don't Behringer know that 1/4 jack is the standard for connecting instruments to a mixer or amp? How would I connect a guitar or keyboard to an XLR input and why would a manufacturer not include any 1/4 inputs on a mixer? It just seems weird to me and is very disappointing because it looks to be an excellent digital mixer apart from this ridiculous oversight by Behringer.

    • @marklabranche8045
      @marklabranche8045 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. It is a pain to not have 1/4 inputs. However, you would simply need to get a direct box for the input source. no 1/4 inputs keeps cost down for the mixer by simplifying the circuitry.
