Such a powerful song about an abusive, dependant relationship. Her self cry for help; "there is a heart in here, where is the heart in here" shows how she wants to be strong and get away for herself but is so dependant on her abuser she finds it easier to be 'silenced' and waits for her abuser to come back. very sad song and depicts the emotions of some types of domestic abuse very well. great to see meaningful, challenging songs are still being made among the majority of other dullness.
@@LucasSantana-ws8po I know I'm late to the Party. It's about much more than murder. It's about the pain of betrayal. Mental as well as Physical abuse. She was expecting romance. Instead, savagely Murdered. Although her body lay dead. Her love for him held on hoping for his return. No matter how Abusive he was to her.
Unbelievably powerful and hauntingly beautiful song. Their harmonies send shivers down my spine and my heart aches a little to think of how much pain someone must have been in to write a song like this.
I love this song!! It made me look at past relationships 😢 the devaluing, rejection, making me feel so insignificant but, I'm learning to love myself again
This song is so real and raw with emotions I love the vocals her voice is haunting and yet awesome this is my new group I’m here after watching Tell Me Your Secrets on Prime Video 🥰👏👏
I introduced my ex to Little Green Cars about 6 years ago, it was a beautiful time and we loved this album as if it was part of our special bond at that time. Sadly we ended up breaking up and we didnt see each other for almost 2 years. Ironically the next time we saw each other was at another Little Green Cars concert, except this time we were complete strangers as if we had never met. It's amazing how now I only associate the sad songs with the memories we shared.
Such a powerful voice. I found this song for free and realized that i actually loved it and kept listening to it. For some strange reason i searched for the video today. Now I'm watching this and fell in love even more. I understand the song even more and its beautiful, i can't have enough of the meaning of this video its so melancholy but in a happy way at the end. i loved it.
I've been listening to this song for two years now; It keeps getting better with age! :D :D Sooooooooooooooo disappointed with myself for not seeing you live yet!! COME TO MAYO!!!!!!!!!
+Conor Phillips ah man seriously!? They're playing in ivy gardens Dublin on the 23rd or24th, if that's any good to ya! might be tickets left if you're lucky😁
Still kinda wishing you'd come back again as a band. I found you when I was 15 and now I'm pushing mid 20s I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't. Your songs remain my favourite songs and you still hold a special place in my heart after all those years. :(
Heard this song in the car today and I love it! Reminds me of Florence and the Machine. The lyrics also resonate with me, especially the lyric This love is killing me but I think I want it to. Just really stood out. Very beautiful and sad. Ill remember this band. This is also my first time hearing them and I love their band name, its so good and cute!
finally something more similar to florence and the machine... YEY even though its still really different but love the instruments, quiet moments, strong voice.. love it
I was pretty excited to see who would open for Hozier when I saw him yesterday and they honestly didn't dissapoint at all. They're awesome and definitely have a new fan. Looking forward to their new album and hopefully to watch them live again.
I first got into this incredible band back in 2015. It blew me away. Really resonated with what I was going through at the time. Utterly timeless, full of poetry and melencholy.
Down to the river to silence me, love took me down to the river to silence me, [x3] My love took me down to the river to silence me, And when he left I could not speak. I lay on the ground I tried to scream, But no sound did come out, I could only bleed blue. I waited for him 'till the frost did come, My skin it turned blue and my body was numb. But my heart it burned out 'till it was no more, Still I wait on the ground I don't know what for. There, there is a heart in here. Where, where is the heart in here? This love's killing me but I want it to. So long you're gone, just like I always knew. But I'm still here waiting for you. But I'm still here waiting for you. My love took me down to the river to silence me. And when he left I could not speak. And what he said to me I can never say. Because it's breaking my heart to this very day. There, there is a heart in here. Where, where is the heart in here? This love's killing me but I want it to. So long you're gone, just like I always knew. But I'm still here waiting for you. But I'm still here waiting for you. Down to the river to silence me, love took me down to the river to silence me, There, there is a heart in here. Where, where is the heart in here? This song was so cleverly written. One example is just by the contradictions it includes; it is sung with such strong vocals yet the character portrayed in the song seems vulnerable and submissive. I wish more people would appreciate this kind of music instead of stereotyping it as 'depressing' or whatever. Beautiful song.
Fell in love with this song right away. Shared the video on fb and favorited it here before the video was even done lol Checked out some of their other songs and noticed a guy singing instead of her. Can't say I like it as much. I hope she leads more songs like this in the future I absolutely love her voice.
Oops, me again : i forgot to say how much i appreciate the video itself. The director is a genius. It's dark, it's cold, it's very strange and hypnotic, and it matches perfectly with this incredible song, and the (omg) BEAUTIFUL singer's voice.. I'm in love with this charming Lady.
this group is amazing. omg, already have this song on replay. I love her voice...when are you touring my way? song is bringing me to tears. Feeling the love I once had.

Weird, too me it was a music about a murder
@@LucasSantana-ws8po yes I thought so too the #metoo warrior's need this one for domestic violence. Huh
Sounds like she is dead and her soul is waiting.

She's fronting a band called Soda Blonde with ex members of LGC. Brilliant they are
@Grandma V Same! I paused and searched for this song the minute I heard it on episode 1.
@@HoopyAl Checking them out now- thanks mate!
Reminds me of song “Goodbye Horses” from movie “Silence Of The Lambs”
Her voice reminds me of Florence and the Machine in parts here.
yes, me too
And Amy Montgomery 😍
I think about this all the time!
That's who I thought sang it when I heard it on a show 😊
Said the same thing as I’m watching Tell Me Your Secrets ....🤯
One of the most amazing bands I have seen live, her voice is honestly so much more beautiful and dynamic live.
I first heard this song in a show called "tell me your secrets" and I immediately loved it !!
it's amazing, her voice is so epic and "unprotected" at the same time
this song is absolute perfection, I can't believe they haven't become crazy famous.. they opened for hozier and they were even better live

This song is so depressing.
Play it again..
I love dark songs. They make me happy. Find country death song by violent femmes.
Perhaps. Yet the harmony is excellent.
