OMG what an incredible lesson this is! Andy Frazer is my favourite bassist of all time and I was fortunate enough (and old enough) to see Free play live at Brunel University in 1969 shortly before the release of their debut album ‘Tons of Sobs’ and when Andy was just sixteen years old. Amazing group. RIP Andy and Paul and thank you for all the great music and thank you Greg for raising the profile of one of the greatest groups and bassists of all time.

In my opinion Andy Fraser was up there with the best of them the solo that he does on ( Mr Big ) is probs the best I've heard in my life R.I.P andy fraser and thanks for the awesome sounds

I agree Phil, I’m more impressed every time I analyse another one of his bass lines. I’ve been intending to take on the Mr Big solo in a lesson for ages. I must get round to it!

Just listening to Free at the Isle of Wight in 1970!!!! Yes, I was lucky enough to be there as a 17 year old. WHAT a fantastic and distinctive bassist Andy Fraser was. You could tell his lolloping basslines a mile away. Greg, you pick THE best songs and bands to show us. Maybe one day I'll be able to do ONE of them 😂
