The FF7 OST has been living in the back of my mind for years so it's always a blast seeing people exposed to it for the first time. The system limitations really forced the songs to stand on the strength of their melodies and Uematsu is the king in that regard. Now that you've listened to Cosmo Canyon you have to listen to The Great Warrior next. In terms of gameplay, it's the next song for the area of Cosmo Canyon. Other bangers are Tifa's Theme, Barrett's Theme, Aerith's Theme(Probably one of the most iconic ones), Let The Battles Begin(the main battle theme), Descendant of the Shinobi are all bangers and will keep the ball rolling on an amazing OST. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of his music. He knows how to compose with complexity and musicality. For example, check out FF7 (Original) Overworld Theme, or FF6's Dancing Mad. Anyways, instant like, comment, and subscribe. If you haven't yet, I highly recommend playing the original FF7 in its entirety. Uematsu did an arrangement for this song in his FF Brass and Woodwinds arrangement album called FF: Brass de Bravo, it instantly became my favorite version of this song.

*_You Can Hear The Cry Of The Planet_* is a track that will forever haunt my dreams. Love that music piece. It manages to convey so many feelings all at the same time to me: mysterious, nostalgic, peaceful, haunting, foreboding, mournful, depressing. Definitely something that was engraved in my memory forever.
Really good reaction as always. Keep up your good work 👍 I don’t know what the song is called because i have only heard it in a trailer for a new game that’s not out yet. The trailer I really cool and I think the music in it is really good. The game is Final fantasy XVI ( 16 ) Keep rocking and really nice work on your videos. Have a nice day.
I love this song, I'm trying to learn the piano collections version - which is great - but somehow I actually prefer the original with flute and synths.
FF7 was actually my first game and the music Uematsu composed helped me through some dark times in my childhood. They actually do an orchestra called "Distant Worlds" and I've met Uematsu san at a few of them. They did a full live orchestral version of this one and it's a personal favorite.
I've mentioned it before, but there are official piano OSTs for various Final Fantasy games. There is one for FFVII and it has Cosmo Canyon on it. It's awesome to listen to and awesome to play, I can vouch for that =)

This song was the first place I went for some reason. I still cant hear this song without crying. Its great, and is going to fucking ruin me in the remake.
This song almost feels like it's telling the legend of a bygone hero.
When I made it to this area, I didn't want to leave. This track was beyond anything I have ever heard.
This song feels like home to me, sounds very emotional. And I have no idea why, but I absolutely love it.
While we're on awesome FF VII area bgm, I'd like to throw in Ancient/Forgotten Capitol. My personal fav among the area tracks^^
'You Can Hear The Cry Of The Planet'
@@DJAB87 I know, but nowadays it seems more eidely known as "Forgotten capitol". Just wanted to make it a little easier on him^^
*_You Can Hear The Cry Of The Planet_* is a track that will forever haunt my dreams.
Love that music piece. It manages to convey so many feelings all at the same time to me: mysterious, nostalgic, peaceful, haunting, foreboding, mournful, depressing.
Definitely something that was engraved in my memory forever.
I don't know how I didn't burn the tv screen with this place's image for how long I'd just park my Cloud and listen to the music
Oh my god I can't believe this got recommended... I love this song. I hope it gets remixed in the remake just to compare
Really good reaction as always. Keep up your good work 👍
I don’t know what the song is called because i have only heard it in a trailer for a new game that’s not out yet. The trailer I really cool and I think the music in it is really good.
The game is Final fantasy XVI ( 16 )
Keep rocking and really nice work on your videos.
It's awesome to listen to and awesome to play, I can vouch for that =)
Recently learned to play it as a Bard in FF14. Not the full melody, just the main driving one, but still. Always loved the Native American feeling in it.
Hello Jesse, loved your reaction to this one felt as raw as that song is!
Will you be posting the stream VODs on youtube when you end up playing FFVII?
Hmm, I'm not sure about that yet. I want to keep the TH-cam channel as strictly music, but I'll make a post here when I decide what to do with the VODS!
@@JessesAuditorium Thanks for the answer! I'll be happy to hop over on twitch either way, but I know some people prefer to stick with youtube in general
I’m massively looking forward to the Remake playthrough. Your reactions to Remake’s music and scenes carry the same spirit of how people felt about FF7 back in the PS1 era. I just find that really fascinating since you have no previous experience with, or nostalgia for, FF7. Remake carries the torch of FF7 very well in my opinion.
And this is Jesse's version of a Rick Roll.
all these years later i still get chills
Love the music. Red XIII is an awesome character, cosmo canyon an incredible place, I would love to visite in real :-D can't wait for XIII in Ff7 remake - rebirth and relive cosmo canyon and its incredible music! Thanks for your reaction to it!
You pretty much reacted how I did when I was like 12 playing through this in my bedroom. I think I left a dialogue window open from an NPC, just turned up the TV and banged my head with my eyes closed. Didn't even play till I got my "fill" lol. Awese seeing your reaction these days
Uematsu is a freaking music genius
Fucking heart this fucking reaction to such an underrated theme.
Still likely one of my favorites on this OST for FF7.
I remember when I got into Cosmo Canyon I didn’t want to continue playing just because I was jamming hard to the song and didn’t want to stop it 🤣 I CAN’T wait to hear the Remake’s version
Here's some of my favourite sound tracks of all time which i highly recommend you check out:
Blue Destination - Trails of Cold Steel II
Cloaca Maxima - Ys 9
The Extreme (FF14 Version) - Final Fantasy XIV
Restoring the Light, Facing the Dark - Ori and the Blind Forest
Eyes That Gaze into the Nexus ~ The Ones Who Gather Stars in the Night - Bravely Default II
Cosmo Canyon is such an atmospheric song.
follow up with "the great warrior" / seto's theme
