About Metalocalypse: Dethklok
Metalocalypse is Adult Swim's blackest, most brutal comedy. Coming straight to your face from Brendon Small (Home Movies) and Tommy Blacha, it centers around the band Dethklok, a global metal sensation with enormous economic power and social influence. Dethklok includes Nathan Explosion on vocals, Skwisgaar Skwigelf on lead guitar, Toki Wartooth on rhythm guitar, William Murderface on bass, and Pickles the Drummer as...himself. Unfortunately, these guys are more interested in boozing, doing drugs, and causing mass destruction than in putting out new albums. Their careless attitudes cause band manager Charles Ofdensen almost constant strife as he tries to salvage Dethklok's public image and protect them from a mysterious organization known as The Tribunal. i thought it was Ratamahatta. .but yeah, maybe it's reference to Roots Bloody Roots.
The video style looks similar. The irony is that the singer from sepultura is easier to understand the words than Nathan, but then Nathan is clearly George Fisher and not Max Cavalera.
but then, Roots was their most . . coherent album. The early stuff, like Beneath The Remains is completely unintelligible.

The music goes well beyond spoof. The show, for sure, but the music is its own beast entirely. Still the best metal I’ve EVER heard

It's crazy how we all heard the call. Literally went to a show the other night for a Florida band called Traitors. Talking to a guy outside I said I was rewatching the show because I felt like it was time. He held up his hand and showed me a tattoo of a gear, and I hugged my fellow Gear.
when i apprenticed under a tattoo artist in Hawaii the first tattoo i did (10 years ago) was on myself... it was the Gear. and the whole time i was lost in the process i had this song and the Gears on repeat back to back to back...there really is a special something in the show and music

There really is a tale of an ancient civilization with a considerable technological and mystical level.
