Aaaaah Filipinos though! Talented in so many ways! They nailed it! I was about to say that they have same level of great voices with the original singer of the song but maybe I should say EVEN BETTER.
It has been a while since the last time I heard this song Imagine. Hearing it now again from this group of singers, it was as though I was listening to the original version of John Lennon.
They are the REO BROTHERS, do listen to their cover of the Beatles and other bands as well here in TH-cam.

The brothers are all self taught.
Right! they could go and do originals. but let me tell you, is a pleasure to ear this kind of song with a new and fresh touch. And I think they do very good covers (close to the originals) and for new generations appreciate what real music is about.

The Brothers are completely self taught and they have an amazing story of survival against the odds when their city Of Tacloban was devastated by the typhoon Yolanda a good few years back ... read up about them and how they came to be ... they are like the fabled Phoenix that rose from the ashes to start anew ... they are truly a phenomenon ... I would invite you and others to please come and join THE REO BROTHERS NATION WORLDWIDE fan page on Facebook we are over 20K members strong and would love to have you as a member ... these lads deserve every success and as one of the admins on the page I am backing them 100% ... you will not hear a better tribute band than these guys who cover so many different artistes and bands ... they are completely unique ... and I'm saying this as a musician of over 45 years ... and I can GUARANTEE you that!

To date as far as I am aware they have not penned any original songs as playing tributes to others is their strength .. however that is not to say that they won't! ... 'all good things come to those that wait'.
Phil john they have original song but its a tagalog tittle AKOY TINAMAAN and the second i dont know the tittle you can check thier channel
The hurdle they have to overcome is that english is not their native language, i guess it would be difficult for them to compose in english that would be accepted internationally. But they sure can compose in their native language. No problemo.
They did already during their local shows before but they don’t show it from their latest youtube live

they are all self taught and never had any professional training. There are 9 siblings in their family, 8 boys and 1 girl and everybody can sing and/or play a musical instrument.

I don't think they ever had formal lessons in music. Hardship plus inborn talent pushed them to become excellent. They've come a long way.

The boys survived hurricane Yolanda but the family lost everything, There is a video about their Journey from back in 2013 to present day. It is a remarkable testament to hard work and determination. They are amazingly good. All really fabulous singers in their own right and self taught musicians. The young bass player has his own channel and has many solos there, (Ralph Otic).You may like to check out their video of eye in the sky by Alan Parsons project, New kid in town by eagles, beegees medley, happy together by turtles or your man by Josh Turner to name but a few, although they do beach boys, hollies and many many more. i believe if they try to creat thier own music, am quite sure they will get a high level of acceptance based on the way how they played most of the songs which is exactly the same as an original band group. this band group were really amazing...mabuhay REO brothers from Tacloban City Philippines...!
