Money for Nothing and your kicks from free from Dire Straits yep Mark Knopfler was my inspiration to play guitar. I saw Dire Strait perform this at Wembley Stadium. I've even met Mark he's a real gentleman. He was original learnt to play left handed but his sister said it looked funny playing left handed so he swopped hands. He was a university lecturer for one of our big Universities and a Journalist when he formed 'Dire Straits' which of course means 'you are without money and in desperate need'. He's the main song writer, lead singer, lead guitarist and Producer. Most of our great British band met either while studying at University or Teaching at a University the age of British intellectual Bands. Oh yes and Mark wouldn't use a plectrum (pick for American why you guys gave it another name I've no idea). like other guitarists he used his fingers and would often come off stage with bleeding fingers.
as stated above this is merely a very small part of the lads repertoire so check out other stuff they do ... they are phenomenal! ... very unique as no other tribute can do what these lads do and all LIVE ...have fun!
@@eileencritchley4630 hi ..sadly they do not as they are a tribute band ... there's a reason for it as their family life in the philippines rely on their income as a band ... read up about them and how they came to be as this will give you some insight into what they do ... also many of the artists and bands they play homage to no longer exist and don't play live anymore for various reasons ... plus the fact that tribute bands are now the closest you will get to seeing the originals and they play an important part in keeping music from the past alive ... if the lads were a band that played original music they would just get swallowed up in corporate management and most probably would not last as their lives would be governed by those behind closed doors ... so just enjoy them for what they are and what they do as they are unique in reproducing the original studio recorded sounds in a live setting

He's not as clear as he could be in parts. But then I always prefer original artists. He doesn't have Mark's voice of course or play quite as well.
