- I rebuilt a wrecked McLaren 720s from scratch. After rebuilding it and losing my bet against Richard Hammond that the car would be done by Christmas, he inspects my work and gives his strong opinion.

Basically when Ali did the software update, he didn't stabilise the battery. And the battery died on him. We use a stabiliser when remapping vehicles.

I've heard UK has an immigration problem.

You should put in the competition disclaimer that they consent to be filmed if they win, was a bit of a let down , not seeing his reaction to winning such an awesome car.
Forcing someone will most likely not get the reaction you would like. It is what it is
And record the phone call,when u phone them for the winning
In my opinion, forcing someone into a situation they are not comfortable in will result in a pretty awkward segment. I agree that *genuine* reactions would be a heartwarming sight but it simply won't be the case when the person doesn't want to be in front of a camera.
Not everyone wants to be on camera. I would turn down the car rather than be forced to be filmed. And yes, I'm serious.
@@jwright4222 they can always choose to cut it out themselves if it is not good enough for the video, but if you enter a competition like this surely you would expect to be filmed, the whole reason for giving this car away is to create footage?

😂 damn didn’t have to shoot back so quick ha ha. It would be hilarious to add a tractor to the car family.
Don't even need a lift to get under it if you need to fix one. But it might be kinda hard to get a crash-damaged one and a working one might be the most expensive vehicle in the fleet.

Wouldn’t be possible as it can’t be laid flat on each other as it has the two raised bits in the middle
@@way661 could've put the flat bits together. And taped them. Drill through and you have the holes.
@@ukskunx if you did that then the holes wouldn’t line up, been there made that mistake!
Unless the holes were drilled exactly the same distance from each other and in the middle of the splitter throughout the length it won’t work, only have to watch the video of it being fitted in the first place to see it wasn’t done like that and it’s not oem as mat used rivnuts to fix it to the bumper
The splitter needs wood blocks on the bottom to reinforce and help with scraping. I believe it has space underneath it for that specifically.

Mat how the heck is that splitter going to last over speed humps etc. The ride height is going to have to come up if Ali wants to keep the front splitter. You just managed to snowplough some tiles. None of your supercars have ever done that. I’d give Ali the option, the car looks great anyway, raise the ride height slightly and keep the splitter or lose the splitter and get the cost in cash. Just my thoughts for what they are worth. However what I love about your channel is your honesty and transparency. 1. You didn't have to tell us that the BMW had a glitch and you were sorting it out and 2. You didn't need to show us the splitter being broken, we would have all been none the wiser. That’s why you're where you are now, what you see is what you get the good the bad and the crashes🤣👍🇬🇧

I live literally 700 meters from the main Audi factory, but just so you know, all the parts are made in Poland, Mexico and other countries, and in Germany they just assemble it, Porsche is not made in Germany, in Germany they just put Continental tires and that's why it says made in germany, don't ask me how I know hahah

Be honest! As both a BMW, VW and a Mercedes owner, for me, the Beemer wins every time on quality, comfort and reliability, just ask yourself next time you are driving a Mclaren, Range Rover, Lambourn or a Ferrari which car will get you to your destination without a problem and on time.
